My streak is still going. Today I got 20 minutes done on the elliptical. I'm getting tired of the elliptical. Hubby is doing a project out in the pool room and all his junk blocks off the pool. I really hope he gets it cleaned up today so I can swim tomorrow.
That said, I looked at my elliptical miles for last week (no swimming days). I estimate that 14 minutes equals one mile, that's an average mile jogging time for me. Last week, I did 18.7 miles on my elliptical. I'm pretty proud of that. Jogging, that would have almost gotten me from my small town to Omaha. Pretty cool when I look at it that way.
It's been a pretty busy work weekend. Friday night was steady. Last night I didn't get a break. It was busier than I like. I had a lot of interventions, though and felt like I made a difference. Today has slowed down a bit, still busy enough to stay awake, but I'm finding some time to Spark.

I had a rough night sleeping last night. Bridget came in about 2:30am with a tummy ache. She then became my bed buddy. She's a tosser and a turner, so my sleep at that point wasn't the best. I managed to get a nap in after everyone got off to school and work. Bridget in her own bed napping, so I could get some rest. I got to the chiropractor, which I really needed. I haven't been in a few weeks. This time I had him concentrate on my neck and shoulders, although I still got my knees, feet and wrists adjusted too.
My workout today was 30 total min on the elliptical (10 min intervals), weights (chest press, delt press, bicep curl, quad extendors), crunches (regular, bicycle, reverse), and stretching. I've been eating really well still, lots and lots of veggies, mostly in their raw form. Hubby has started eating well too, and has created his spark page. Soon he'll start the exercising too. I'm really proud of him for really making an effort.

I managed to get a good workout in today. I did the elliptical (30 min total, 10 min intervals), weights (various tricep and glutes), my non-crunch ab routine, and stretching.
I got the call around 9am this morning that my uncle Bobby passed away. He was only 56 (12 years older than me). He was also my God Father. My grandmom called me; she's in her eighties. It was pretty sudden. I guess he just found out in the last couple of weeks that he had cancer of the lymph nodes. Chemotherapy wasn't even set up yet. He went into the hospital for fluid on his lungs. While there, he had a heart attack and died. He may have been sick for a long time and may have kept how sick he was from Grandmom and my mom (his sister). We aren't sure. The funeral is in New Jersey, too far away for me to attend.
It's been 20 years since I've seen my uncle Bobby. It never dawned on me that that was the last time I'd see him. I was in college then, and my brothers and I road-tripped to New Jersey to see our Grandpa one last time. We had lots of fun with Uncle Bobby too. We went to Philadelphia and saw Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell (memories from childhood trips there too). I also remember "Joe's", a great place to get a Philly cheesesteak. It may be the original Philly cheesesteak, I'm not sure. We saw a Phillies game at the Vet and I remember my uncle yelling, "Lenny!!" for Lenny Dykstra, one of the players back then. He loved his Phillies.
My kids are being great. They are helping me out right now, doing some of the chores. We will dedicate our rosary to Uncle Bobby and pray for the repose of his soul. Please pray for him too.

Wow! Have I really done 50 straight days of 10 min of exercise per day? I really try to make my minimum 20 minutes, so I am rocking this challenge!
Today I got a full workout in:
Elliptical total 60 min- pretty fast for most of it (16 +16+16+12)
Weights Set one (chest press, delt press, bicep curl, quad extension)
Crunches (regular, bicycle, reverse)
In those 50 days I've completed 2119 fitness minutes, and I've traveled 63.8 miles (walking, jogging, or elliptical). I've also done a lot of swimming, which takes away mileage since I don't know how to convert my strokes to miles yet. Keep in mind I have an Endless pool where I swim in place. In January, I've made the commitment to do weights at least three times per week. That added to my swimming has increased my upper body strength and endurance. I've also eaten really well since January 2nd, eating tons of vegetables. I hope to weigh myself on Friday if I get a chance at work. My clothes seem to be fitting better, although I don't think I can get back into the size 16s I bought last spring. If I keep this up, I will fit into those clothes before I know it!
