I continued my streak of 10 min/day of exercise. Inspired by my reports I looked at last night and the goals I'll mention in a bit, I increased my time on the elliptical to 60 total minutes (three sets of 20). I also did my weight set one (biceps, delts, quads), crunches (regular, bicycle, reverse), and stretching. I worked out for two hours today (that did include some potty breaks from all the water I was chugging).
I reviewed my fitness minutes for Dec 2010 and Dec 2011 and I was right! The 10 minute per day challenge increased my fitness minutes for the month.

Dec 2011 - 1035 (that's 462 more minutes)
Happy with these numbers, I decided to look at 2010 and compare to 2011, the entire year. I think I discovered part of the reason I didn't really lose any in 2011. Although December 2011 was better than Dec 2010, the rest of the year was not.

I realize there are some factors attributing to this decrease. In 2011, I set the goal and reached the goal of transferring my pharmacy license to Iowa. That took time for paperwork and studying. I also picked up a second part time job and trained a lot in the summer. I may have also been better at charting my fitness minutes in 2010, something I've improved on in the end of 2011.
Goals for 2012:
Nutrition: I have got to get my eating in control. Low carb works best for my body, so I have to return to that and stick with it more, no matter how many cookies are in the house. This month I'm trying to focus on eating veggies.
Fitness: I'm continuing the 10 min/day of exercise challenge as long as is reasonable. I realize an illness or injury could end the streak. If that happens, I will just start the streak over again. I also would like to get 1000 fitness minutes/month, with longer routines on days I can, but still working out on days where there's not much time. Just keep moving!!
I want to get back into my size 16 clothes I bought last spring, and get down into the 160's again for my weight. I haven't weighed recently, but think I'm around 175-178. My clothes fit like I'm in that range.
