Day 22

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

I just finished 25 minutes in the pool. Hubby wanted a turn, or else I would have done 30. I did 800 total backstrokes (2x400) with various kicks holding onto the kickbar.

Today was a busy day of baking. I've finished two double batches of cookies so far, with three double batches still in the fridge. I plan at least two more types of cookies, and another double batch of chocolate chip. I'll try to blog more about my cookie history later this week. It's pretty late now, so I'd better get the kids to bed. One more day of school, then they are out for Christmas break.

Great job on the exercise! Wow! Lots of cookies - my problem is I'd want to eat them. LOL

My kids are done already - last day was today! I haven't done any baking yet because I have a cold. Seems like this happens to me every year! Oh well - less time in the kitchen hopefully means less eating for me! How are you doing with your low Carb plan? I keep saying I'm going to start but keep putting it off!

Day 21

Monday, December 19, 2011

Today I squeezed in 30 min in the Endless pool. It feels great to get 30 min done!!

Very busy day with hubby. He's got two weeks off now. We bought outside Christmas decorations, more presents for the kids, and some other odds and ends. We also had a nice lunch at Greek Islands. We were good and had salad with Gyro meat. He had me try Oozo for the first time. Since I don't like licorice, I really didn't like it. Hubby's trying to talk me into go back to the Greek Islands for New Years Eve. They will have belly dancers. I'm thinking some place else will be better.

Got to go. We have a concert tonight.

I'm glad you got your time in. I didn't have any time today either. I'm just now doing my sparking and I'd better hurry before it's past midnight and I'm on a new day!

Yeah, Chris! I managed to slip in a short exercise break and am glad I was able to make that. I love this challenge - it is a great feeling to know you set aside that little bit of "you" time. Hope you had a nice birthday party for Mom-in-law. It was gorgeous outside.

Those 10-minute streaks are nice - even when we feel like we don't have much time, we can usually squeeze 10 minutes in there somehow.

Day 19!!

Saturday, December 17, 2011

Today I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. I had the kids cheering me on while I was on it.

Pat's play last night was so funny. He was great as the ghost of Christmas future, dressed as Darth Vader. His best friend was Scrooge, dressed as the Grinch (green tights, green fuzzy hands, and oversized Santa coat & a Santa hat.) The kids did such a great job and had so much fun doing it.

We're trimming our tree today, and I'm doing the Christmas cards. I'm sure there's lots of other Christmas stuff we'll be doing, so I'd better get going.

Day 18 of 10min/day

Friday, December 16, 2011

I just did 10 minutes on the elliptical again today, same reason as yesterday. I know my body just can't handle any more, and I still have chores around the house to catch up.

Tonight we're going to Patrick's play, "A Seussified Christmas Carol." I guess Pat wears a Darth Vader mask when he is the ghost of Christmas future. I'm not supposed to know that, but one of the twins let it slip out. They did the play for the elem. and middle schools on Wednesday, and also had a performance last night. I'm looking forward to this. It will be a lot of fun, and a lot of family is coming up to see him.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Good job on another 10 minutes. Have fun at Patrick's play. I'm sitting in the Dr. Office while Kyle gets an xray. He might have a fractured bone in his foot. Hoping not since he just had the fractured wrist in may. emoticon
