Day 17

I only did 10 min on the elliptical today, but that's all I can muster. I worked a busy 8 hour shift at the hospital in my small town, a little bit of running the kids around, and managed the ellptical after that. TOM is excruciating right now, so my next stop is the couch to put my feet up for the night. The kids and Hubby can handle the rest. Thank goodness I always cook in large quantities. We should have enough left overs to get us through dinner. I really hope I feel better tomorrow. It would be a good day to get another full workout in (elliptical, weights, crunches, stretching), but I can't manage if TOM doesn't improve. We'll see how it goes. I know I can manage 10 minutes if all else fails.

Day 16 (Results from and earlier challenge)

Today is day 16 straight of 10 minutes per day of exercise. I did 30 min on the elliptical, weights, crunches, and stretching.

I don't think I ever mentioned how I did on the "12 Weeks to Fabulous" challenge before Thanksgiving. I found that challenge to be a great motivator. I ended up coming in second place and won $30. I maintained my weight, which is good since I'm still adjusting my thyroid meds. I believe I'm still around 175 since my clothes are fitting the same. As I settle into a good dose on thyroid meds, I hope to be able to go down a little further. We'll see how it goes. January should be easier, not so many temptations (Christmas parties, Christmas treats).

Day 15 of 10 min/day of exercise

WooHoo! I just got out of the pool. I did 40 minutes of various kicks and backstrokes. I managed to up the number of backstrokes to 1300, incuding one set of 640. I really feel my arms getting stronger having more endurance. Backstrokes are fantastic for the triceps. Mine aren't sagging as much.

I think today I'm going to try to get some Christmas cards out. Hubby got the pictures downloaded from Thanksgiving and made some cards up. I'll type up a quick letter, print some address labels, and get assembling. I haven't done this in a few years. People will be surprised to hear from us.

    I got my cards mailed out yesterday, but skipped the annual letter. Just wasn't in the mood! Way to go on using your pool. I wish I had something like that to use. I love the treadmill, but sometimes I feel like I get stuck in a rut. Hope the rest of your day goes super!

Day 14

Today I did the elliptical for 30 minutes. It feels good to have enough time to do a longer workout. I'm glad I was able to keep my streak going over my long work weekend, even on Sunday.

This morning I took it easy after everyone got off to school and work. The only think I don't like about napping in the morning is that I seem to have really psychotic dreams. It would be a lot more restful if I had sweet dreams. It must be all the stress from work coming out in nightmares.

    Keep up the great job! I know what you mean about having weird dreams when you sleep at not normal times. That's what usually happens to me when I wake up early and try to get some more sleep. Have a great week!

Day 13

Today I managed 10 minutes on the elliptical to complete my 10 min of exercise. I have to hurry to get ready for church (and help the family get ready too). Then I'm off to work a 10.5 hour shift. Day 13 complete!!
