Goals for BLC 22

My goals for the next 12 weeks are:

Lose 10 pounds
Stay within my calorie range at least 5 days a week
Work on keeping my sodium intake below 2300 mg per day
Exercise 20 minutes per day by swimming or exercise DVDs and make it a part of daily activity not something I have to do.
ST at least 2 days a week

Now to work for the next 12 weeks and a healthier future.

Two Months between BLC 21 and 22

I cannot believe that it has been 11 weeks since BLC 21 started! It has flown by so fast. New friendships have been made and a lot has been learned. Now I need to plan for 8 weeks between BLC 21 and 22. Can I maintain the progress I have made? Will I continue to lose?

My plan for the next 8 weeks is to:
Continue to track my food on a daily basis.
Stay in my calorie range
Continue to drink at least 8 cups of water a day and track it, emoticon
Eat 7-10 freggies a day
Exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week and track it emoticon
ST weekly
Increase stretching and do each time I exercise

Following this plan I plan to lose 5 pounds. My goal is coming close emoticon

emoticon My DH and I just spent 10 days away on a great vacation to Branson, MO. Ten days with no scale and no kitchen to prepare any meals. Six days in a car, with some exercise but not as much as I wanted. We ate out 3 times a day. I did pack safe snacks. We found a very nice buffet that served 3 meals a day. I said that this was not an option every day and my DH agreed. The best laid plans can fall apart. We ate a lot of breakfasts and dinners at this buffet. I was able to stay close to my calorie counts each day. Did I go over a time or two? Of course! After we returned I couldn't wait to jump on the scale. I figured that 5 pounds would be a reasonable gain that I could live with. To my surprise there was NO weight gain! emoticon emoticon emoticon I could not believe my eyes! I guess that all the measuring and tracking of food, and reading articles in the past 18 months has really sunk in! It felt great to know that I can maintain my weight at least for a short period of time. Maybe it is time to stop weighing in each day to monitor the ups and downs. emoticon

I am Sparked!! I am excited!! Weigh in was today. I have finally lost 30 pounds. I never thought I could accomplish this. I have been heavy for years, probably most of my life. It really was not to bad until I had my daughter. The weight never seemed to leave, just increase. I did lose 25 pounds before I found SparkPeople, but I hit a plateau for a couple of years. With SP I discovered a whole new world of help. From nutrition to fitness to support to challenges to push me further than I thought I could go. I have even started to like exercise.

I look forward to losing more weight. I may need to revise my goal weight, but that will come in the future. I enjoy sharing with others and encouraging them in their journey, which in turn seems to spark me with encouragement to push on.
