I obviously have much to be thankful for- we had lots of cuddles over the holidays.
What a busy and crazy year- daughter graduating from veterinary college and then heading to the US to do an internship, son and DIL welcoming this happy wee boy and then finally a new hip for moi. I am blessed.
No excuses except it is hard to do cardio on a wonky joint and the aftermath of surgery is a gradual return to NORMAL activity- I next see the surgeon on January 11 and I will push for much increased activity. I can reduce my calorie intake BUT I am in danger of going into a "calorie preservation mode"- my need is to increase my exercise to overcome this state. 15 months ago I weighed 132 pounds, now I am at 141. I felt healthy and fit at 132 so that is where I wish to return. Officially it all starts on Monday, it really started today with my first weekly goal- 8 glasses of water a day for a water flush during the first week.
Lots to look forward to in 2011- my first biggee is to walk from one end of town to the other and back on the first day of spring, March 20. Everyone else up to it?:)....MJ
