Yesterday was day 84, the end of my 12 week challenge on the Body for Life program. Unfortunately, I didn't reach my goal of 15 pounds lost. I lost 10.4 though so I'm happy with that. I have to admit that the 12 weeks went by really quick. I thought it would seem like ages but I was wrong.
I've decided to do another 12 week challenge, but try harder than I did for the first 12 week challenge. I know there were days that I skipped a work out, ate off plan, or didn't give my workout 100%. My goal for the next 12 week challenge is to try harder and meet my goal of going down at least 1 pant size and 15 pounds.

As summer quickly approaches I realized I'm going to need a new swimsuit this year. Not only because the one I have worn the last two or so years is a little loose (only the top) but also because I've never really liked it.
Unfortunately, when you're obese/overweight, full-figured, voluptuous (whatever you want to call it), buying basically any type of clothing - from dresses, shirts, bras, swimsuits - is no easy feat. I've never been able to walk into a store, spot a super cute swimsuit, try it on and jump for joy because it fit, or because it looked wonderful. Nope, I'm the lucky one who gets to either shop around until I find one that half fits, or try to get lucky shopping online.
Shopping online...not exactly my cup of tea when it comes to shopping for clothes. But, I found some really cute ones on Spiegel.com this week. I ordered five of them today and decided I'll return the ones that don't fit. It's so hard to pick the right size even after looking at the chart for measurements. Hopefully they will arrive next week. I need something that fits by the 4th of July, at least.
Anyways, that's all I've got for today.

Time goes way too fast! It's been a while since I've blogged, I guess I just haven't had much to say that I wanted to share with everyone. I still really don't, but figured I'd give an update.
Things seem to be going fairly well with the Body-for-Life program. I started on April 6, 2009 at 198.4 and am down to 188.0 as of last weigh-in on May 29, 2009. I need to lose 4.6 pounds by June 28 in order to meet my goal of 15 pounds in 12 weeks.
I have to admit that I'm a bit frustrated. I've lost a total of 26 pounds since October of 2007 and I don't really see a difference. When I think of 26 pounds, I think of a lot of weight! I took my monthly measurements yesterday and there was maybe two inches lost since last month, so I guess I'm confused on where I'm losing. Measurement taking has never been much of a help for me. I am happy the scale is moving, I just wish I could see an obvious sign.
Otherwise, on the plus side, I do belielve I'm getting stronger. The bike ride I went on on Saturday sort of proved that because I found it slightly easier than it was for me a year ago at this time.
I will keep plugging away and focus on meeting my goal by June 28.
