Day 1 of P90x

Monday, June 25, 2012

Today was day 1 of 90. I was able to do 30min today emoticon. I like it because you start at your own pace and keep increasing reps/time as you go along. Plus they have modifications as well, which is nice when you are staring out. I think I stopped early because I had just gone on a 40min walk outside (it was just too nice to stay inside, plus little lou loves being outside. emoticon

The results are in!!

Friday, April 20, 2012

I was able to go over my heath check results today. The labs came back great especially for someone who had eaten 3hrs earlier. Only one came back two points above normal. So I can keep this score or try for a better one. I will be back in september just to see what if any has changed. This made my day!!

WoW

Thursday, March 29, 2012

I went to a health check today. They have some new technology that sends electrical impulses thru your body and can some how tell how much is fat and how much is much muscle. My BMI is higher than the normal calculations but not by much. I was only able to do 12 push-ups in a minute but my blood pressure was fine. Will have to wait for the lab work to come back. I will be able to do this again in about 6 months. I can not wait to see how much I can improve on by then. By lowering my BMI in 6 months I get to lower my insurance premiums!!! I think that this might be the motivation I need to get going.

Way to go, and keep it up. Improved health and a lower BMI is more important than the numbers on the scale!

I know it's not much

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

I know it's not much but I jumped on the elliptical for 10min today. I feel great! Not sure as to why it is so hard to do, when the thing is just sitting there. This is something that I enjoy doing but I need motivation to get up and do it. Anyone have any ideas?

What is it that you don't like about getting on and beginning?

- Maybe set a timer and get used to 10 minutes per day? That would be 70 minutes per week!

- Of course the obvious would be to record a specific TV show that you want to watch while working out.

- Make a workout CD to keep you going

- Ask W. to clean/cook/whatever chore for however long you can stay on the elliptical! You'd be surprised that you could stay on for more than 10 minutes then :)

DINGO SISTER!

It took me a year to get on my elliptical. And I started with just a few minutes. And I was like, I can do this! So I set the timer for 10 minutes. I usually just do 10 or 15 but I do several of them through the day. I am noticing changes in the back trunk region so now that is my motivation emoticon

I feel the same way! I've had a gym membership for many months now. Have only been to the gym maybe a handful of times. I guess my advice would be to remember how good you felt after working out. Honestly I struggle with the motivation too. I know when I eat healthier and am more active throughout the day, I am more inclined to jump on the treadmill and keep the adrenaline going.

Bob Marley

ďHeís not perfect. You arenít either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isnít going to quote poetry, heís not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Donít hurt him, donít change him, and donít expect for more than he can give. Donít analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when heís not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys donít exist, but thereís always one guy that is perfect for you.Ē
