Another Easy Spin Today

Yesterday my wife and I took an easy 10 mile spin and I'll probably do the same ride again today. I plan to do a longer ride tomorrow or Sunday so I don't want to push it too hard. I have 11 days to get as many miles in as possible before I leave for India but I don't want to kill myself either because I do have a life!

Great 40-Miler Yesterday

I was able to get 40 miles in yesterday and it sure felt good. There was a fair WNW wind and so I rode straight into for the first 15 miles and then turned around and had it at my back--that was awesome! Then I did 5 more straight into it and ended my ride with 5 more with the wind. That's the longest ride I've done this year and my "bum" is a little sore, but soon enough my body will get used to the bike and I won't even feel it anymore.

Going for a Longer Ride Today

As I was unable to ride yesterday, I hope to go for about 40 miles today. We'll see how it goes, but one way or the other I will certainly take advantage of this awesome Minnesota weather!

Didn't Get to Ride Today

It was a perfect day for riding today but alas some days are just too busy! Oh well, I hope to be able to make time for a long one tomorrow, maybe about 40 miles.

  


Body Position/Endurance Ride Today

Today's normally my day off but since I'm going to India in a couple of weeks I've decided to get some things done. And of course, I also have to sneak a bike ride in somewhere!

The plan is to work on body position today and bump up the miles a bit to about 30. As for body position, my plan is to warm up for 5 min and then spend 2 min out in any position followed by 3 min in the drops. I'll repeat this pattern for the remainder of the ride. My goal for this year is to be able to spend 50% or more of my time in the drops on any given ride.
