Get to go Home Today!

Wednesday, May 27, 2009

I've been on the road for 10 days now and I finally get to go home! I can't wait.

As far as diet & exercise goes, it's been a pretty good trip. I haven't been able to weigh myself so I don't know exactly where I'm at, and it wouldn't surprise me if I gained a pound or two. But I have been able to exercise every day and I have been eating fairly well. I'm glad for that, but I'm ready to be home where I can control my atmosphere a little better.

Great news you are returning home, “there’s no place like home.” It is most difficult to eat well on the road or when you’re out and about, you’ve been out for 10 days; I know that was a struggle. However you did keep moving and that’s important. Regardless of what the scales say you this time just stay focused and stay on the beaten path. Should you see a decrease in the scales…….GREAT JOB!

Off for my fourth run

Sunday, May 24, 2009

I got a wild hair a while back and decided I wanted to learn to run. So I found this program on the web called "Couch Potato to 5K in 9 weeks" and today's my fourth day. Easy stuff, after a 5 minute warm up, run 60 seconds then walk 90 and repeat until you reach 20-30 minutes. I can do more but their advice is to stick to the program exactly and I plan to do that!

Wow, I've never wanted to run before. I can't wait to finish my first 5K!

Performing a Wedding Today

Saturday, May 23, 2009

My nephew is getting married and I have the privilege of officiating the wedding for him. I am in awe of the beauty of the design of God for marriage. There is much confusion and battle in our culture today, but if you just look at the physical aspects of men and women it is SO obvious that they were designed to go together. They were fashioned for each other for the glory of God and the joy of their own souls, and this is simply breath-taking to me.
