The first week back after vacation is hard. I need a vacation to recover from this week. I have been so busy that I have not really had time to think about what I am eating and what I am not eating. I have found that I am planning in advance to prevent me from eat whatever the ladies are serving in the school cafeteria, eating a big breakfast, and eating lunch rather than skipping. All these things have helped me this week. I have so much paperwork to catch up on that I don't want to be in my office, so I have been in the hallways and classrooms, which is good in two ways, one I monitor instruction and two I don't sit at my desk and eat.
The weekends are always tough at my house, for I find myself wasting it often by eating through it. I get bored, and I eat. I have tried to prevent this by planning this weekend to a point that I won't have time to eat. Hope it works

I was ready for it today! Got up early, and was doing to exercise, but then I nearly cut off the end of my thumb while chopping an apple. Then arrived at work to discover that several teachers are absent, the computers were totally down, my phone had lost its charge, and a neighboring district has had a crisis.
After I put out all the fires that the day brought, I st for a moment to collect my thoughts. the old me would have grabbed a cup of coffee, a donut or two, and maybe some chocolate, shut my doors, turned on the music and destressed. Instead, I came back in, sat down, took a few deep breaths, drank a bottle of water, got up, went outside, walked for 10 minutes, and returned to my office, drank another bottle of water, ready to tackle the things that this day will bring.

Half way through the work week. I think we can make it. I always feel like when Thursday arrives then I can make it through the rest of the week. Almost there-----pressing on the upward way.

Today has been pretty good. I have discovered that a big breakfast keeps me from getting hungry until lunch and a big lunch keeps me full until dinner. For the last several days, i have had bacon, eggs, whole wheat toast, fruit, yogurt, and coffee for breakfast. It has worked. A large salad at lunch with some meat has helped also. I have not exceeded my calories or any of the other thing they track on the food tracker.
I know for some people it is better to eat a bunch of small meals, but if i do that, I find that I am eating constantly, and eating becomes out of habit and not necessity. I did this for years, and I am still fat...time to try something new....3 squares a day. and maybe a snack before bed...

Today was my first day back at work after two weeks off, and my secretary is out, and I learned that she will be out for 2 more weeks. I can make it though. I was very busy today, and did not eat lunch until late, forgot my lunch at home, and ate salad from the school cafeteria. Came home early though...whoo-hoooo.
Ate supper, and I am not trying to find just a bit of energy for exercise. It is just not there yet, but I am going to stop searching the internet, and find the bootcamp video and get it done.
