“You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage—pleasantly, smilingly, non-apologetically—to say no to other things. And the way to do that is by having a bigger yes burning inside.”
— Stephen Covey

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”
(Luke 11:9, NIV)
When you go about your day, are you looking for God’s favor? Do you expect His goodness to overflow? Many people wake up and just believe to make it through the day, but God has so much more in store for you. What He has laid out for your future is more than you can imagine! What He’s got arranged for your family is more than you’ve ever even dreamed of. I believe that if you will take hold of this truth by faith, you will see supernatural doors begin to open. You’ll see promotion like you haven’t seen before!
No matter where you are in life, no matter what’s happening around you, start looking for more of God’s favor. Don’t settle for where you are. Don’t settle for just barely getting by. Believe that God is good, and He wants to do more in and through you. Remember, what you seek, you will find. So seek Him first, and He will pour out His supernatural favor upon you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I lift my eyes to You for You are the source of my help. I believe that You have good things in store for me, and so I look for Your favor upon my life. Use me today for Your glory as I keep my heart and mind stayed on You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something: They're trying to find someone who's going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place you go to take.

I do not have very good luck, so I was VERY suprised when I won 4 tickets to go see the "Wiggles" here in Houston. I was listening to the radio when they said to be the 1000th person to text in - and I actually won! My kids grew up watching the Wiggles, and I myself have a few songs I am fond of.
Well, the show was today and, even though we missed the first half (long story!!), it was great. The kids had a wonderful time, and I enjoyed it too. Mostly I liked watching the kids reactions because we don't really have the money to do alot, so we usually sit at home on the weekends and do nothing!
So thank you 100.3 KILT for the tickets, and thanks Wiggles for the wonderful show and the smiles and laughs you gave my kids today!!

You'll love this one, let me tell ya.
It's something every one of us can use.
It's tried and true... works every time to help offset any
"pig-outs" you may find yourself engaging in.
1. You're super-tired from work and that darn pizza flyer
was on the door...
2. You want to celebrate and you find yourself stuffing your face
with "happy food"...
3. You're bummed out and ice cream turns into your BFF...
Listen, I've been there... lots of times.
If you pig-out on food, you must do three things in order to make
sure that food doesn't head straight for where you store the most
1. Sweat a bit
Do some light cardio, take a brisk walk, but MOVE. You have to move
within an hour or so otherwise all that salt will be retained in
your tissues and make you LOOK fatter than you actually are. I hate
that look on me!
2. Protein and Produce
For the rest of the day, consume lean protein foods and produce
(primarily green veggies.) This not only lowers overall calories,
it lowers your insulin response.
Insulin is secreted in large amounts when you over-eat or eat too
many carbs. That's what you usually do during a pig-out. Most people
don't pig-out on steak.
Not only that, but protein foods are "thermogenic"... meaning they
help increase your body's core temperature and help you burn off
more calories than any other nutrient.
3. Repeat the Next Day
... The protein and produce, that is.
Most of your foods the next day should be lean protein and
produce, only this time you can include some low-sugar
fruits along with the veggies. Salads are great too.
Stick to this system and you can cheat on your diet plan without
wrecking your waistline.
I hope you enjoyed the advice!
