Update on pregnancy and what not!

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Hey everyone :) I am happy to update that I am now FOUR MONTHS pregnant! I remember last time I updated I was barely 3 months! I can honestly say that I'm fitter than ever. It is only May 15th and my workout minutes for this month are almost at 500. I still do on average 40-60 minutes on the treadmill at a 7% incline. I'm able to continue it throughout my pregnancy per OB recommendation. I feel great! Weight gain is at about 5.4 pounds still, and I'm still an avid calorie counter! Just staying balanced and as happy as possible. :)

    Go girl go!
Have faith in God!
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Congratulations! This is such great news! I am hoping to get pregnant in the next year and have been looking into healthy calorie ranges, healthy exercises while pregant. I remember my 2nd trimester I gained very little weight with my son and had the most energy. Most of my weightgain, which was healthy was in the 3rd trimester, so don't freak when you get there. The most important thing is to get enough nutrition for a healthy, happy baby and mommy.

Are you going to find out about the gender or wait until the baby is born?

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile! So much going on! Including us just finding out we're pregnant. I found out pretty early (About 4 weeks), and now I'm a little over 6 weeks. Just trying to count down the weeks til it gets further along and I don't need to worry anymore!

I got a bump already, but I'm still at my pre-pregnancy weight. I know weight gain will come, just trying to manage it and still calorie counting.

This is such a blessing for me because as I've said on here a few times, I've had PCOS my whole life, and I wasn't sure that this would be possible for me...Especially so soon. I'm just so happy! Please keep us in your prayers that this is a healthy and happy pregnancy! :) emoticon

When's your baby due? I think you and my sister-in-law are due very close together - she's due November 4th, about 15.5 weeks along.

A healthy update :)

Monday, January 07, 2013

Hi everyone, just thought I'd update you on how everything is going.

I ended up getting down to 117-123 for awhile...Which is actually very low for my height of 5'6". For awhile I was bordering on the underweight range. In some ways, I guess I just got down there to prove to myself that I could do it. I just felt very frail, scronny, and unhealthy at that weight.

Lately I've been trying to gain a little bit of weight so that I'm at a healthier range. I've been maintaining about 134-136 now, but I'd like to maintain 135-140ish. I am still a size 0-1 in jeans, so I'd like to get up to a size 3. I just want to look healthy. Being super skinny was fun for awhile, but now I just want to become healthy. I'm at about 134 now and I feel so much better. My butt actually fits into my jeans, I have a tiny bit of curve back, I just really love it here.

I just wanted to give an update to everyone. I just moved out of my house a couple months ago so it's been hard to sit down and blog. Hope you're all doing well!

    Congratulations on the move!

You look great, and its great to know what weight YOU feel your best. I know I initially set one weight loss goal for me, and I think I may push myself a little more, because I know I can do it, and I believe I need to lose an additional 10 lbs of fat, to be healthier and to look better.

You'll have to post some pics in your new place.
So glad to hear you are doing well!

I am glad to hear that you are balancing things out. Being too thin isn't healthy either and I am glad that you could see that. Congratulations on your success! WTG!

You look wonderful! I'm glad you're finding the right balance! I'm sure it's hard for someone who was overweight to come to terms with being too thin. Great job on finding the healthy spot for your body!

The Big Bean!

Saturday, October 27, 2012

I grew up in a really small town in New Hampshire. I've seen a lot in my life, but many of it was contained to the small town that I've grown to love and to hate all at the same time.

Last night at the spur of the moment, a friend of mine asked if I wanted to go walk around Boston with him all night. At first I thought he had to be kidding...Boston?! Leaving at 10 PM to go to Boston?! But I've been trying to seek more ways to experience life, so I went for it.

First of all, right when we got on the highway, we got stuck behind a woman who was drunk as a skunk. Absolutely hammered. Swerving all around the highway, not knowing here from there. She was annihilated. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's drunk drivers. The only reason I'm bringing this up...Is because out of nowhere, she got a flat tire and had to pull over. What are the odds that she'd have a flat tire right when she was so loaded that she was apt to kill somebody? Whether you believe in God or the energies of the universe, something made that flat tire happen! What are the odds?

Anywho, onto a WAY more positive experience. Once we arrived, the person I was with was telling me about how everything usually looks much prettier at night due to the bridge being lit up. I didn't care, I was STILL in absolute awe by the tall buildings and orchestra of city lights. It was so beautiful. I hadn't been to the city in so long, and seeing it at night is such a different experience.

We got out and walked to this really fancy hotel because he had to use the bathroom. The hotel was absolutely GORGEOUS. I felt like I was in a movie. Everyone in suits and ties...Chandeliers looking like they must cost 75k each...Display cases of pearls and diamonds...It was phenomenal. I remember one guy coming up to me and saying, "Are you waiting to print money?" I thought to myself, "Yeah right, like I even have money!" Ha! Everyone was just so exquisite looking...

I remember thinking about how everyone is just prettier in the city. Everyone is just so fancy like from an old film with jazzy background music. Almost everyone was dressed fashionably and professionally. One woman strikes my memory in particular. We were walking down an alleyway (Not a bad one), and a woman came out of a building with a red rose in her hair, tied back into a bun, with white gloves and smoking from one of those cigarette holders you see in 1950's films. That's what it all felt like to me, a movie.

We saw college kids just coming out of a rave, messed up out of their minds. But it was all still so interesting to me. We saw amazing murals (Including the ninja-esque one pictured). Everyone is just so FRIENDLY! We even ran into two guys from Australia! I wish we had of talked to them more!

I know the city seems like such a small thing to most people, but I just hadn't seen anything like it in so long. We walked the glamorously lit up streets til almost 1 in the morning. It was 30 degrees, but I didn't care. I couldn't even complain about being cold with how beautiful it was.

I LOVE Boston. LOVE IT. I went to college there, lived there for 4.5 years. When I moved away, I cried. Like, heartbroken sobbing in public and don't even care cried. I love that you had such a magical experience there. emoticon

I love cities -- I usually take my vacations by exploring a new one. I've only passes through Boston, though, I've never really explored it. Glad you had such a nice time!
