Days 41-46: Getting back on Track

Hey everyone,
I've been in Washington D.C. the past few days for the 40th annual March for Life - it was fantastic and I did a ton of walking! Unfortunately, I weighed in and here are my results:

1-21-13: 135 pounds
1-28-13: 138.5 pounds.

Ugh. Well, it's a new week so I'm definitely going to keep working. I'm just happy I'm out of the 140s!

Days 29-30: One Month!

Hey everyone,

I'd really like to thank all of the SparkFriends I've made over the past month. I really appreciate all of the help and support all of you give me each day. Unfortunately, I have still not weighed in because my scale is at school, so I'll wait until next week. I really hope I see a five pound loss. On the bright side, my size eight pants are feeling a little bigger! Doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred really helped with this and I'm not even done with the program yet.

Once again, thank you so much, SparkPeople for making this a wonderful month of helping me get my life in balance!

Days 27-28: Almost Done with 30 Day Shred!

Hey everyone,

I can't believe I'm six days away from being finished with Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred! I never even thought I would make it to Level Three. Usually when I begin a workout series, I quit a week in or halfway through. I never actually finish the whole thing. I can't wait to finally weigh in once I'm finished with it. I really hope I lost at least five pounds and some inches. Honestly though, I've noticed an extreme change in my fitness level. A few days ago, I helped my grandparents take down their Christmas decorations. I was able to sprint up and down their stairs and not get out of breath. Also, I carried the huge Christmas tree downstairs by myself without any help. I've also noticed that I am able to take more bags of groceries out of the car to put in the house rather than taking one bag at a time. My strength has definitely improved! I highly recommend this workout!

  


Days 23-26: First yoga class!

Hey everyone,
Sunday night I went to my first yoga class. It was fantastic! It was just a beginner class, but I felt like I could do more. We began doing poses that were totally necessary to learn, such as child's pose. Then, we moved into learning Sun Salutations. After that we did twists, backbends, and standing poses. Lastly, and the best part, was the relaxation portion where the lights were dimmed even more and we stayed in Shavasana and listened to soft music. It was amazing! I'll definitely be returning once I'm on Spring Break!
