A Saturday Spritual Hymn and Message!

Saturday, September 10, 2011

Greetings of Peace To Everyone! The trouble with a lot of people is that their God is too small. Our God is larger than life if we could measure him. Praise God.

HYMN: "DOES JESUS CARE?" The words to this hymn was created by Frank E, Graeff in 1901, and the music by J. Lincoln Hall, also in 1901. The scripture that inspired this hymn is Matt 11:28-30, "Come to me and I will give you rest".

1. Does Jesus care when my heart is pained, Too deeply for myrth and song;
As the burdens press, and the cares distress, and the way grows weary and long? REFRAIN.

2. Does Jesus care when my way is dark, With a nameless dread and fear?
As the day light fade into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near? REFRAIN.

3. Does Jesus care when I've said "good-by", to the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see?

REFRAIN: O yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary and the long night dreary, I know my Savior cares.

1. John shows us in John 5:6, Jesus doing three great works of grace:
a. The first one was: Jesus is shown choosing the man.
b. The second one is: Jesus is shown caring for the man.
1. Jesus knew all there is to know about this man.
2. He knew the man had been crippled for a long time, unable to walk, unable to stand, unable to carry his bed.
3. He knew the man was totally dependent upon others for everything.
4. Jesus reaches out to the man because He cared.....THAT'S GRACE.

2. PICTURE THIS! Jesus refuses to look at us as we are, and chooses rather to see us as we can become through the power of His grace. Jesus looks beyond our faults and failures, and cares for us in spite of our sins. He loves us even though He knows our evil thoughts and deeds. He loves us even though we will fail Him again and again. Jesus said in Mark 2:17, "They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance". Do you care? Have you heard the call? Have you repented and turned to Jesus? He loves you and doesn't want you to perish. To be continued Monday.

May God help our vision to become clear when we look into our own heart: for he who looks outside of himself, dreams; and he who looks inside of himself, will be awaken. In His Grace and Healing, Vic.

A Friday Prayer and Message!

Friday, September 09, 2011

Greetings of Love To Everyone! A life without dreams is like a garden without flowers. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: " Heavenly Father, Merciful God! The world teaches us to "live it up", but You teach us to "exercise self control". The world says, "take revenge", but You say, "love your enemies". The world says, "be first", but You say, "put others before yourself". The world teaches us to make decisions, but You O God, teach us to make the right decisions. Christian living is always the opposite of what the world values. Selfishness is easy but not satisfying. Serving is hard but most rewarding. Help us to defeat selfishness with kindness and service. Enable us to push selfishness aside so we can make the right decisions on how to live as Christians. Help us to learn from the service and giving spirit of Jesus, our example to follow, so we may become more like Him each day and less like self. Help us to live to Your glory. This we pray in Jesus' gloriious name, Amen!"

1. John now potrays Jesus as "A SYMPATHETIC SAVIOR" (John 5:6).
2. He shows Jesus doing three great works that proves Him as a "Compassionate Savior".
a. First, Jesus is shown choosing the man.
1. There was a "great multitude" there that day (Vs 3).
2. Jesus could have gone to any person in that place.
3. But He went to the disabled man for His own reasons.
4. Jesus saw him lie and knew his sad condition.

3. PICTURE THIS! Every sinner is dead in their sins until Jesus comes and awakens their heart. This is the work of grace. Only then can a sinner be saved. All are called but only a few chosen because they respond to His word and love. Jesus sees us and knows our sad condition. His reason is to heal and save. Where are you in this crowd? Jesus knows your condition, good or bad. Has Jesus awaken your heart? To be continued Saturday.

May God help us to see by faith what all we can do in Christ Jesus.
In His Compassion, Vic.

    I love the way you pray. My husband and I do not have similar beliefs although both of us believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior. Still, it is very weird not to be able to worship together any more.

    Good word. As KP Yohanon (founder of the Gospel for Asia) says, "Jesus did not only come to save us from our sins, but to deliver us from our self-centeredness."

A Thursday Spiritual Hymn and Message!

Thursday, September 08, 2011

Greetings of Peace To Everyone! They tell me that prayer helps quiet the mind and unburden the heart. HOW TRUE! Praise God's Holy Name.

HYMN: "THE GREAT PHYSICIAN"; The words were written by William Hunter in 1859, and the music by J. H. Stockson in 1869. The inspiration for this hymn came from Luke 4:18, " The Spirit of the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news".

1. The great Physician now is near, The sympathizing Jesus;
He speaks the drooping heart to cheer, O hear the voice of Jesus. REFRAIN

2. All glory to the dying Lamb! I now believe in Jesus;
I love the blessed Savior's name, I love the name of Jesus. REFRAIN

3. His name dispels my guilt and fear, No other name but Jesus;
O how my soul delights to hear, The charming name of Jesus. REFRAIN

4. And when to that bright world above, We rise to see our Jesus;
We'll sing around the throne of love, His name, the name of Jesus. REFRAIN

REFRAIN: Sweetest note in seraph song, Sweetest name on mortal tongue.
Sweetest carol ever sung, Jesus, blessed Jesus.

a. Those that surrounded the pool were probably in the same shape as the men: some better; some worst.
b. They offered no comfort or help to each other. each looked to his ownself.
c. It was "every man for himself".
d. They probably won't have helped the man since they themselves needed healing.

2. PICTURE THIS! This is a sad scene of lost sinners. See their helplessness, thier brokenness, their blindness, and their uselessness (Eph 2:12). This is a story of "the blind leading the blind". OH! Mersy loves company and all too often sinners surround themseves with others just like themselves, or even worst. But the outstreched hand of Jesus can pull any or all of them out of their misery, if they allow Him to do so (Mark 5:1-19). With whom have you surrounded yourself? Look up and see the hand of Jesus reaching down to you. Take hold of it! It will bring healing and salvation to your soul. To be continued Friday.

May each one of us live our life according to God's will and enjoy the blessings from it. In His Healing, Vic.

A Wednesday Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, September 07, 2011

Greetings of Joy To Everyone! We are way down here, and God is way up there. We are not sure He can hear our faint, faltering prayer. But someone does hear because our prayer are answered. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: " Divine Father, Loving God! Help us O Lord, to step out by faith and to trust in You. We thank You for Jesus Christ, our Lord, who strengthens us because He considered us faithful by putting us into His servive. Life is like a trouble sea and we are all in the same boat, with our struggles against the waves that battered the boat; against an angry contrary sea. The winds make us afraid as we see the pitfall of circumstances of life before us. Help us O Lord, to walk so deeply in our faith in You that we are not detered by the difficulties that surround us. Give us courage to see only You and Your will for us. Enable us to make Your will our will. Keep our hearts pure and our motives holy. Allow our eyes not to rest on the dangers, turmoils and confusions of this crazy world, but let us be focused on the outstreched hand of our Savior Jesus Christ.
It is in His name that we pray, Amen!"

1. The man is not just disabled and desperste, HE IS A DISAPPOINTED MAN (John 5:1-5)!
a. The man tells Jesus that everytime he trys to get into the pool, someone else beats him; and they walk away healed while he remains disabled.
b. Oh, what a disappointment that must be.
c. Oh, how that must hurt as he sees his hope for healing diminish time and time again.

2. PICTURE THIS! Can you relate to this man? We seek healing that will bring us health and peace to our soul. We try different ways to find this healing, but are unable to find it. Others encourage us to be worthy and righteous, but only the shed blood of Jesus can make a sinner truly worthy of heaven (1 Pet 1:18-23). Are you spiritually disabled? Are you desperate for healing? Have you been disappointed time and time again? There is a solution.....TURN TO JESUS! He is the only one the can heal you and bring health and peace into your life. To be continued Thursday.

May God look kindly on us who love and bestow special blessings on those who join their hearts with us in Christ Jesus. In His Healing, Vic.

    I'm just logging back in after probably a year and saw your post. It's good to hear the voice of faith. I've been reading Matt. 6-8 and it applies to your intro. Jesus is Lord of even the wind and waves... whether it be nature that turns against us, our own emotions, or the sea of humanity that refuses Our Saviors gift of Life and Peace. God bless you and your ministry here. I'll have to check in periodically and read your blogs. Please keep me in prayers that I might finally get a grip on losing weight. May you hear His voice of "Selah"... the voice that calls out to you: ..... peace.... beloved... be still and know that I Am God. Things are going to be okay. God has it all in His hands.

    Nice prayer it was worth taking the time to read.

The disappointed man--interesting
I am disappointed time and tine again
I need healed and time and time again
The lord heals time and time again
It is not the lord that I am disappointed with it is myself that time and time again through my own short sightedness wrecks myself spiritually.
I am thankful for the Lords patience only He knows if I will ever get it right.

A Tuesday Spiritual Hymn and Message!

Tuesday, September 06, 2011

Greetings of Happiness To Everyone! Whatever is wrong with our life, we can find a solution if we kneel and pray. Praise God!

HYMN: "LOVE LIFTED ME". The words were written by James Rowe in 1912, and the music by Howard E, Smith, alo in 1912; and arranged by Alton Howard and Pam Stephenson in 1993. This hymn was inspired by Matt 14:30, "When he began to sink he cried out, "Lord save me!"

1. I was sinking deep in sin, Far from the peachful shore,
Very deeply stained within, Sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the sea, Heard my dispairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, Now safe am I.

2. All My Heat to Him I give, Ever to Him I cling,
In His blessed presence live, Ever His praises sing;
Love so mighty and so true, Merits my soul's best song,
Faithful, loving service, too, to Him belongs.

3. Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, Out of the angry waves;
He's the master of the sea, Billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, Be saved today.

REFRAIN: Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help, Love lifted me.
Love lifted me! Love Lifted me!
When nothing else could help, Love lifted me.

1. John shows us not only that this man was disabled, HE WAS A DESPERATE MAN!
a. The fact that he dragged himself or was carried to the pool for a chance to be healed, proves he was desperate.
b. Too few sinners today are desperate or concerned about their spiritual condition.
c. Life is nothing more than a brief pause between two eternities (James 4:14).
d. The time we are given is to be used to prepare for one of two destinies (Luke 12:5).

2. PICTURE THIS! Few people genuinely desire to go to hell. Most, if not all, want to go to heaven, but do not know the way or think they can do it on their own. It's up to us to bring them the "GOOD NEWS". Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the Father, but by me". Where are you in life? Have you entered through the straight gate? Are you walking on the narrow road that leads to life? To be continued Wednesday.

May God help us to walk by faith and walk in His light, Jesus Christ.
In His Healing, Vic.
