A Friday Prayer and Message!

Friday, August 26, 2011

Greetings of Joy To Everyone! God is deeply aware of the burdens we find too heavy to bear. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Holy God! Help us to open our minds and hearts to You, to Your Word, and to be receptive to Your presence, to Your Spirit, to Your Voice, and to Your Will. We thank You that You know things we need, even before we ask them. Teach us to pray with our minds and hearts centered on You. Show us how to be positive instead of negative. Enable us to begin our prayers and our daiy living with You, and then how to look on life with optimistic faith: that Your kingdom will come; that our daily needs will be met; that our sin will be forgiven; and that we will have strength for the trials that lie before us. No matter how bad yesterday might have been, grant us a new day, today. To know You is to live. This we pray and ask in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen!"

1. In this next portrait, John paints a scene of life with which we are very familar (John 4: 39-42).
a. At first, some of the town people believed because of the tesimony of the woman, but later, many more believed because they heard Jesus for themselves.
1. There are always some who will believe because of someone's testimony.
2. There are always others who will not believe unless they can hear Jesus for themselves.
3. How can anyone hear Jesus today? Through the teaching and preaching of others. Through His Word, by the reading and studying of the Word.
b. Is this not the same for us today? YES!

2. PICTURE THIS! These verses didn't say anything about them being "saved:, only that they "believed" Jesus was the Christ. WHY? We have to remember that they were still living under Old Testament Law. The New Testament was not to take effect until after Jesus was crucified, died, buried, and resurrected (Heb 9:15-17). Yet, what was Jesus teaching? What made his teachings so different and amazing? Was he not preparing them for the Good News (Salvation under a New Covenant)? Isn't that why He came? Read Heb 7:11; 8:7-13; 9:24-28. Is your mind and heart opened to God's truth? Do you believe that "JUST BELIEVING" is all that is needed in order to be saved? To be continued Monday.

May our spirit be strengthen by God's love and truth, and sustain us unto eternal life in Jesus. In His Truth and Grace, Vic.

A Thursday Prayer and Message!

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Greetings of Love To Everyone! Remember that the minute we seek God, He is already there. Praise His name!

PRAYER: "Gracious Father, Loving God! Our prayers are not measured words that we memmorized, nor words that we say forcfully and dramatized, nor words offered with pomp and arrogant pride, nor words that do not match our feelings inside. So often, our prayers are spokenwith whispers and tears poured out from broken and contrite hearts. You know our needs and You hear our prayers and You answer our prayers with love, grace and mercy. Teach us to seek You in prayer; help us to bear our trials and troubles; help us to bear our sicknesses and sorrows, just like Jesus. Show us the way to a brighter tomorrow. These things we pray in Jesus' blessed name, Amen!"

1. The next portrait is about "a lesson" for the disciples (John 4:34-38).
a. Jesus said, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work" (Vs 34).
b. But where are the fields of harvest for man's soul?
1. Jesus said, "Lift up your eyes" (Vs 35), for they are all around us.
2. There some that sow, and there are some that reap, but both can enjoy the rewards of the harvest together.
c. The wages Jesus offers is the joy of working for Him and seeing the harvest of believers (Vs 38).

2. PICTURE THIS! The work of salvation started in the Garden of Eden, and will continue until the end of time. If we are True Christians, then we are disciples of Jesus Christ, and as disciples we have been given the Great Commisiion (Matt 28:19-20) of bring the saving Gospel (The Good News) to all sinners. This is what Jesus is teaching His disciples at the well. Was the Samaratan woman saved at the well? Are you sowing, or are you reaping, or are you just sitting? To be continued Friday.

May our new, saved blessed life in Jesus find us busy doing the work of our Lord.
In His Blssed love, Vic .

A Wednesday Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

Aloha Everyone! We are grateful for your responses and comments. Thank You. Give God all the glory.

PRAYER: " Merciful and Loving Father, Gracious God! You are in deed a God who delivers on all Your promises. Your power is demonstrated in the pages of history and in the lives of the Christians in Jesus. Grant us the faith and courage to be steadfast in our convictions and in our devotions to You our God. Enable us to always be true to You and to Your Word, even in the face of severe opposition. Use our faithfulness to glorify You and Your Truth. This we ask and pray in the blessed name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!"

1. What happenned next is astonishing (John 4:27-30).
a. The disciples returned and wondered why Jesus was talking to the Samartan woman, but no one asked Him why.
b. The words that Jesus had spoken to the woman, had a mind-boggling impact on the woman.
1. She forgot all about the water and jug and left .
2. She went back to town and started to tell the town's 00people two things:
a. "See a man who told me everything I ever did".
b. "Could this be the Christ?"
c. So the town's people came out to meet this "man".

2. PICTURE THIS! What might have been going through the minds of the town people? "A Prophet? Or, A Sorcerer?" "Has this woman been drinking?" After all, she was a social outcast. Why did they believe her? What did they expect to find when they came out? Had this woman who came out for physical water actually found spiritual water? What are you looking for when you come out to meet Jesus? To be continued Thursday.

May Sonshine find you and light the way of salvation and blessings in Chriist Jesus.

In His Salvation, Vic.

A Tuesday Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

Hi Everyone! Great is our gladness and rich is our reward when we make our life's purpose the choice of the Lord. Praise His Mighty name!

PRAYER: "Most Holy Father, Loving God! Help us not to conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Teach us to become servants in the world. Help us to make choices that require faith and courage. Enable us to keep from being overwhelmed by temptation and the evil one. Let us serve, but in serving, let it be our God whom we serve, and not the world nor ourselves. In serving, may we prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of our God. This we pray in Jesus' glorious name, Amen!"

1. John shows us now thAt Jesus and the woman TALKED OF WISDOM ( John 4:25-26).
a. Like the woman, we need a heart of openness to the words of Jesus.
1. We need to be concerned about our salvation.
2. We need to know the things of God.
b. Jesus reveals to the woman that He is the Christ!
1. His objective is to do the same for every sinner.
2. He doesn't come as a judge to condemn us; the judgment will come later.
3. He comes as a Savior to save us from eternal death and destruction.
4. He comes as the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and the ONLY way of salvation (John 14:6).
5. Grasping this truth is the purest form of wisdom.

2. PICTURE THIS! Jesus gave the woman all that she needed to make a decision about her salvation. He does the same for you and me. His message of salvation (the Gospel) is not a mystery. His words are clear and understandable. We all need His salvation. Is your heart openned to His words and message? Are you concern with the things of God? Or, are you caught up in the world? To be continued Wednesday.

The secret of a happy life is to sow the word of God in our hearts so we may reap the blessings and gift of eternal life. In His Wisdom, Vic.

A Monday Prayer and Message!

Monday, August 22, 2011

A Happy Monday To Everyone! Prayers can't be answered unless they are prayed. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Our Heavenly Father, God of heaven and earth. In so many ways we are not sincere when we pray. Perhaps that is why so many of our prayers go unanswered. Help us to be honest with You when we pray; help us to be careful for what we pray. Whatever is wrong in our life today, we'll find the solution if we keel down and pray earnestly: not just for pleasure, enjoyment and health, not just for honors, prestige and wealth; but for a purpose to make life worth living, and the joy of unselfish giving. This we pray and ask in the name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!"

1. John has shown us that Jesus and the woman Talked of Wells (John 4:9-12), they Talked of Water (John 3:13-15), they Talked of Wickedness (John 4:16-19), and now John shows us a portrait where they TALKED OF WORSHIP (John 4:20-24).
a. The woman tries to start an argument about the place of worship (Vs 20).
b. Jesus ignors her statement and tells her that true worship is not found in eternal rituals and substitute Gods (Vs 21).
c. True worship is spirtual in design (Vs 22).
1. True worship comes from Jesus' indwelling Spirit.
2. Worship is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to God, for our salvation, for His love, grace, mercy, goodness, kindness, and blessings.
3. True worship is honoring a GREAT GOD in spirit and in truth (Vs 24).
d. John gives us four descriptions of God:
1. God is Life (John 1:4).
2. God is Light (John 1:4).
3. God is Spirit (John 4:24).
4. God is Love ( 1 John 4:8).

2. PICTURE THIS! Millions (perhaps billions) give themselves to external forms of worship. External forms of worship are not acceptable to God. Worship is a state of heart that exalts a GREAT GOD! True worship requires two things: 1. The indwelling Spirit of Jesus, and 2. Our willingness to give Him all the glory. How do you worship God? Is your worship equal to your sincerity in prayer? To be continued Tuesday.

May our worship make us feel beautiful and special as God has created us.
In His Spirit, Vic.
