A Monday Prayer and Message!

Monday, August 29, 2011

ALOHA Everyone! The pain of discipline is far less than the pain of regrets. Lift your voice in praise to God!

PRAYER: " Most Holy Father, Redeeming God! Many mock us as people of feasting and lounging, and that we are indeed; for You blessed us as a nation with physical blessings beyond our imagination, and also with Spiritual blessings from the heavenly realm in Christ Jesus. Our spiritual blessings outweigh our physical blessings. Yet, there are many who are complacent because they lack physical wealth; not understanding that spiritual wealth is greater than physical wealth. Have we become complacent about Jesus in our life? Keep us from falling into the worldly trap of "complacency"; especially since we are so blessed everyday. Keep us alert for Your presence and in Jesus so we may draw closer to You each day. This we pray in Jesus' blessed name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: JESUS, THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!
1. We have visited four of twenty-one rooms in John 's gallery, and have seen portraits of Jesus:
a. Jesus, The Preexistent Word of God!
b. Jesus, The Son of Man!
c. Jesus, The Divine Teacher!
d. Jesus, The Great Soul Winner!

2. Now, as we move into ROOM 5 (Chapter 5), we see JESUS, THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!
a. Actually, John begins to show us THE GREAT PHYSICIAN in John 4:43-54.
1. This is the second miracle (sign) Jesus has performed in Galilee (The healing of the nobleman's son).
2. Jesus had performed other miracles (signs) in Judea ( John 2:23; 3:2).
B But, what did it take for Jesus to do in order to deliver the message of God?
1. In John 4:48, Jesus said, "Except ye see signs and wonders, ye shall not believe".
2. Yet, Jesus proved in John 4:24-42, that it was the Word and not miracles that brought people to believing.

3. PICTURE THIS! Are we all that different? We want to see signs (miracles) and wonders in order to believe. And yet, we have God's wriiten WORD (The Scriptures, THE WORD) with all the proof we need to believe. What do you need in order to convince you that Jesus is the Christ and that in Him there is salvation? Please let me know! To be continued Tuesday.

May God help us to learn that life without spiritual purpose is barren indeed.
In His Grace, Vic.

A Sunday Spiritual Hymn!

Sunday, August 28, 2011

A Blessed Morning To Everyone! Our hymn for today is a two-verse hymn of praise and adoration to the Savior. The words were created by Alton Howard in 1992, and the music is traditional. The hymn was inspired by Phil 2:11, "Every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord".

TITLE: HE IS LORD!

1. He is Lord, He is Lord! He is risen from the dead and He is Lord!
Ev'ry knee shall bopw, ev'ry tongue confess, That Jesus Christ is Lord.

2. He's our King, He's our King! He is reigning over us, and He's our King!
We adore and praise and lift up our voice, To Jesus Christ our King.

May we be blessed as come to know God itimately as Lord and Savior.
In His Lordship, Vic.

A Saturday Spiritual Hymn!

Saturday, August 27, 2011

Gooooooooooood Morning Everyone! Today's hymn is one verse of praise and adoration to the Savior. The words were created by William J. and Gloria Gaither in 1970, and the music by William J, also in 1970. The inspiration for this hymn came from Acts 4:12, "Salavtion is found in no one else".

TITLE: There's Something About That Name

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, There's something about that name.

Master, Savior, Jesus, Like the fragrance after the rain;

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Let all heaven and earth proclaim;

Kings and kingdoms will all pass away,

But there's something about that name.

God Bless Everyone and Have A Wonderful Weekend, Vic.

A Friday Prayer and Message!

Friday, August 26, 2011

Greetings of Joy To Everyone! God is deeply aware of the burdens we find too heavy to bear. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Holy God! Help us to open our minds and hearts to You, to Your Word, and to be receptive to Your presence, to Your Spirit, to Your Voice, and to Your Will. We thank You that You know things we need, even before we ask them. Teach us to pray with our minds and hearts centered on You. Show us how to be positive instead of negative. Enable us to begin our prayers and our daiy living with You, and then how to look on life with optimistic faith: that Your kingdom will come; that our daily needs will be met; that our sin will be forgiven; and that we will have strength for the trials that lie before us. No matter how bad yesterday might have been, grant us a new day, today. To know You is to live. This we pray and ask in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen!"

MESSAGE: JESUS, THE GREAT SOUL WINNER!
1. In this next portrait, John paints a scene of life with which we are very familar (John 4: 39-42).
a. At first, some of the town people believed because of the tesimony of the woman, but later, many more believed because they heard Jesus for themselves.
1. There are always some who will believe because of someone's testimony.
2. There are always others who will not believe unless they can hear Jesus for themselves.
3. How can anyone hear Jesus today? Through the teaching and preaching of others. Through His Word, by the reading and studying of the Word.
b. Is this not the same for us today? YES!

2. PICTURE THIS! These verses didn't say anything about them being "saved:, only that they "believed" Jesus was the Christ. WHY? We have to remember that they were still living under Old Testament Law. The New Testament was not to take effect until after Jesus was crucified, died, buried, and resurrected (Heb 9:15-17). Yet, what was Jesus teaching? What made his teachings so different and amazing? Was he not preparing them for the Good News (Salvation under a New Covenant)? Isn't that why He came? Read Heb 7:11; 8:7-13; 9:24-28. Is your mind and heart opened to God's truth? Do you believe that "JUST BELIEVING" is all that is needed in order to be saved? To be continued Monday.

May our spirit be strengthen by God's love and truth, and sustain us unto eternal life in Jesus. In His Truth and Grace, Vic.

A Thursday Prayer and Message!

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Greetings of Love To Everyone! Remember that the minute we seek God, He is already there. Praise His name!

PRAYER: "Gracious Father, Loving God! Our prayers are not measured words that we memmorized, nor words that we say forcfully and dramatized, nor words offered with pomp and arrogant pride, nor words that do not match our feelings inside. So often, our prayers are spokenwith whispers and tears poured out from broken and contrite hearts. You know our needs and You hear our prayers and You answer our prayers with love, grace and mercy. Teach us to seek You in prayer; help us to bear our trials and troubles; help us to bear our sicknesses and sorrows, just like Jesus. Show us the way to a brighter tomorrow. These things we pray in Jesus' blessed name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: JESUS, THE GREAT SOUL WINNER!
1. The next portrait is about "a lesson" for the disciples (John 4:34-38).
a. Jesus said, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work" (Vs 34).
b. But where are the fields of harvest for man's soul?
1. Jesus said, "Lift up your eyes" (Vs 35), for they are all around us.
2. There some that sow, and there are some that reap, but both can enjoy the rewards of the harvest together.
c. The wages Jesus offers is the joy of working for Him and seeing the harvest of believers (Vs 38).

2. PICTURE THIS! The work of salvation started in the Garden of Eden, and will continue until the end of time. If we are True Christians, then we are disciples of Jesus Christ, and as disciples we have been given the Great Commisiion (Matt 28:19-20) of bring the saving Gospel (The Good News) to all sinners. This is what Jesus is teaching His disciples at the well. Was the Samaratan woman saved at the well? Are you sowing, or are you reaping, or are you just sitting? To be continued Friday.

May our new, saved blessed life in Jesus find us busy doing the work of our Lord.
In His Blssed love, Vic .
