Ron is SMARGED's brother-in-law, he is 46 years old, has acute leukemia, no longer responds to medication, will undergo agressive chemo on the 21st and bone narrow transplant on the 26. His wife is a cancer survivor, and the stress this family is experiencing is beyond our imagination. Please pray for this Family, for Ron and his wife. God Bless Everyone, Vic.

A Sunday Morning Spiritual Hymn!

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Goooooood Morning Everyone! Today's hymn is a prayerful praise of the Savior's sacrifice. It's an oldie with 3 verses and a refrain. The words were created by Fanny J. Crosby in 1869, and the music by William H. Doane, also in 1869. The inspiration for this hymn came from John 19:25-26, " Near the cross of Jesus stood His mother".

THE TITLE: Jesus, Keep Me Near The Cross

1. Jesus, keep me near the cross, There a precious fountain,
Free to all a healing stream, flows from Calvary's mountain.
REFRAIN

2. Near the cross a trembling soul, love and mercy found me;
There the Bright and Morning Satr, Shines its beams around me.
REFRAIN

3. Near the cross, O Lamb of God, Bring its scene before me;
Help me walk from day to day, with its shadow o'er me.
REFRAIN

REFRAIN:
In the cross, in the cross, Be my glory ever,
Till my raptured soul shall find, Rest beyond the river.

Worship the Lord today in Spirit and in truth.
God Bless Everyone, Vic.

A Saturday Spiritual Hymn!

Saturday, August 13, 2011

ALOHA Everyone! Since we will be looking at John 4 this coming week, today's hymn was in spired by John 4:35, "Lift up your eyes and look at the field, for they are white already for harvest". This hymn is an oldie. The words were created by Elizabeth Mills in 1836 ( 101 years before I was born), and the music by William Miller in 1859. The hymn has 3 verses with a refrain.

THE TITLE: Well Work Till Jesus Comes

1. O land of rest, for thee I sigh! When will the moment come,
When shall I lay my armor by, and dwell in peace at home?
REFRAIN

2. To Jesus Christ I fled for rest; He bade me cease to roam,
And lean for succor on His breast, Till He conduct me home.
REFRAIN

3. I sought at once my Savior's side; No more my steps shall raom,
With Him I'll brave death's chil-ing tide, And reach my heav'n-ly home.

REFRAIN:
We'll work (we'll work) till Jesus comes.
We'll work (we'll work) till Jesus comes,
We'll work (we'll work) till Jesus comes,
And we'll be gathered home.

God Bless Everyone and have a GREAT WEEKEND! In His Love, Vic.

I belong to a fundamental/traditional (bad word these days, I know) church, this sounds like a hymn we've sung before. An oldie, but a goodie! You must be holding up well if you were born in 1837, still sharp enough to operate a computer;)

A Friday Prayer and Message!

Friday, August 12, 2011

Greetings Again Everyone! Since there are 52 weeks in a year, then there has to be 52 Fridays in a year......and guess what? IT'S FRIDAY AGAIN! PRAISE GOD!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Redeeming God! We can't see them but we know there are angels all around us. You have commanded them to guard us in all our ways. What a challenge that must be for them . We thank you for them who are ministering spirits who look after us now and will take us home to be with You some day. Thank You for Jesus who made it possible. This we pray in His glorious name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: JESUS THE GREAT SOUL WINNER!
1. John's galary has 21 rooms full of portraits of Jesus.
a. In John 1, Jesus was the Word of God.
b. In John 2, Jesus is the Son of Man.
c. In John 3, Jesus is the Divine Teacher.
d. In John 4, Jesus is the GREAT SOUL WINNER.

2. We see Jesus reaching out to all who crossed His path, whatever the cost.
a. Jesus cared genuinely for the fallen.
b. Jesus cared so much for us that He was willing to leave heaven and prove His love by dying for us (Rom 5:8).

3. PICTURE THIS! In John 3, Nicodemus crossed Jesus path. In John 4, a Samaritan woman is going to cross His path. Both are going to learn about Jesus' compassion and humanity. Do you have His compassion for others? Do you understand His Divinity and Humanity? To be continued Monnday.

As we seek His blessings, may we remember to allow Him to demonstrate himself to us.
In His Love, Vic.

A Thursday Prayer and Message!

Thursday, August 11, 2011

Aloha Everyone! If the Son shines in your heart today, don't forget to give God all the praise.

PRAYER: "Most Holy Father, Almighty God! How powerful is Your love for us? You reached down into the pit of darkness and dispair, grabbed us and snatched us from the clutches of death and destruction. The undeniable fact is that one out of one is going to die once, but does not need to die twice.Thank You for loving us with a love that grabs us, even in death; for taking the "FINALITY" out of that moment and insuring our resurrection through the empty tomb of Jesus our Lord. We praise You, O God, and we Thank YOU! This we pray in Jesus' mighty name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: JESUS, THE DIVINE TEACHER!
1. According John 3:36, the saints of God lives in a continual state of "eternal life"., while the sinner lives constantly under the wrath of God.
a. If we are saved, we have been granted "everlasting life".
b. Our soul will never die.
c. If we are lost, the wrath of God hangs over us like a giant wrecking ball.
d. Our soul will die: our soul will be separated from the spirit and sent into hell for all etenity.
e. The only thing that keeps us out of hell is the grace of God.

2. PICTURE THIS! It's plain that God loves sinners, hates sin, and has provided salvation for whosoever believes and obeys the gospel of Jesus Christ. God loves us and has done all that needs to be done to save us. Now it's up to each of us!
Where would we be without God's love, grace and mercy? What does your heart want...Heaven or Hell? Where will you spend eternity? To be continued Friday.

May we blessed by the Divine Teacher about the choices we have been granted.
In His Teachings, Vic.
