A Wednesday Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Aloha Everyone! Stay committed to your faith and it will become a reality. Give God all the praise and glory.

PRAYER: "Holy Father, Loving God! Help us to remember our life before we trusted You and obeyed Jesus; how we lived in hopelessness; how we dwelt in self, pride and negative thoughts; how Jesus tranformed us by the power of His WORD; but You had plans for us and now we live in HOPE; hope in Your promises, hope in Your WORD, hope for the future; hope of a resurrection, and hope of eternal life. You are indeed the One and only One True God who cares about us. You renew our strength daily. We soar on wings like eagles. We run and not grow weary. We walk and not faint. Thank You Father! Thank You Jesus! Thank You Holy Spirit! These things we pray in Jesus' name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: A Portrait of Jesus in John's Gallery!
1. As we move on from the first portrait and approach the second portrait, we notice immediately that Jesus is not only God, but He is also SON OF MAN!
a. The second portrait deals with the life of Jesus.
b. There is a scene of a wedding taking place in Cana of Galilee (John 2:1-11).
c. We see Jesus, the Son of Man, in all His humanity.
d. We see Jesus getting involed in the problems and situations of ordinary everyday life.
2. Cana of Galilee is a village on the west side of the Sea of Galilee.
a. "Cana" is mentioned only three times in scripture, and only in the Gospel of John.
1. John 2:1 and 11, where Jesus performed His first recorded miracle.
2. John 4:46, where Jesus healed a nobleman's son.
3. John 21:2, as Nathanael's hometown.
b. Two sites are given today as possible sites for Cana:
1. One is about four miles northeast of Nazarath.
2. The other site is about nine miles north of Nazarath.
3. PICTURE THIS! We have been invited to attend a wedding. Did you know that Jesus has a bride and that preparation for His wedding is being made even as we speak (Rev 19:6-10). Have you received your invittation? To be continued Thursday!

May today be the beginning of a lifetime of beautiful days! In His Love, Vic.

A Tuesday Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, July 12, 2011

Goooooooood Morning Everyone! Good news always makes my heart sing. So I say , "REJOICE", and again I say, "REJOICE"! Give God all the glory and praise.

PRAYER: "Most Holy Father, Beloved God! When life seems unfair to us, help us to remember to do Your will and use Your wisdom, to do good and not do any evil. Be our strength when we are weak. Guide us when we find ourselves in troublesome days. Enable us to know that our faithful obedience will be blessed by You, and that we will be a blessing to others. Strengthen our faith in moments of trial. Grant us the courage we need to live life to Your glory and honor. Fill us with Your great love. And when life seems unfair, turn our eyes towards Jesus and to the glory that awaits us in eternity with Him. These things we pray and ask in the glorious name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Jesus, The PROCLAIMING WORD!
1. Jesus shows us God, not only as "LIGHT" (TRUTH), but also as "LIFE" (John 1:10-13).
a. Jesus came to His own people who had His WORD and who were living in the Promised Land, and many rejected Him
1. He came to tell everyone the right way to come to the Father.
2. He came to tell everyone how to experience eternal life.
3. He came and they killed Him, but not His life, for He arose again from the grave and now sits at the right hand of the Father.
4. Jesus is LIFE and He offers all who respond positively to His LIGHT, the way to spiritual immortality.
a. He is the "DOOR" (John 10:9).
b. He is the "WAY, TRITH, and LIFE" (John 14:6).
2. PICTURE THIS! Life comes NOT by our natuiral birth, NOT by our own works, and NOT by any other person, but ONLY by Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, who is the WORD of God. We can come to Jesus by simple faith, and through obedience to His WORD, be eternally saved by His grace. What a beautiful portrait John paints for us of Jesus in this first portait. I can hardly wait to see the next portrait! How about you? To Be Continued Wednesday.

May God help us to remember in our hearts all that we have seen in this first portrait.
In His Love, Grace and Truth, Vic.

A Monday Prayer and Message!

Monday, July 11, 2011

A Happy Monday Morning Everyone! Happiness shared is delight doubled, and I love to share God's WORD with you. Give God all the praise.

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Holy God! We pray we may be active in sharing our faith with others, so we may have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. Help us to get over our inhibitions about sharing our faith with unbelievers. There is no greater gift than to give someone Your love and the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. Enable us to be sensitive to others, to their needs just as You are to ours. Grant us a perfect sense of timing and the right words to say to others so they may be able to see Jesus living in us. These things we pray and ask in Jesus' Divine name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Jesus, The Proclaiming WORD!
1. Jesus showed us God in two distinct ways:
a. John 1:4-9 - He came to PROCLAIM LIGHT!
1. Jesus came to a world in spiritual darkness, and opened the curtains of grace and truth, revealing God to man walking in darkness.
2. Jesus illuminated the pathway of men towards God.
3. This light was meant to accomplish one of two purposes:
a. To cause men to repent of their sins and come to the open arms of the Savior; or,
b. To cause men to reject the light and to continue to live in darkness.
4. The first thing that was created in the beginning, was "LIGHT" (Gen 1:3-4).
2. PICTURE THIS! We are free to respond to the Loving pleadings of God's grace because Jesus brought us light. This is a light that reaches out to all men, although not all men will accept it. This light represents Jesus' revelation of God (TRUTH) to men which calls them all to accountability in Christ. This light is universal in scope. Jesus is the TRUE LIGHT, in Him there is no darkness (1 John 1:5). Are you accepting or rejecting the LIGHT today?
To Be Continued Tuesday!

May the LIGHT of GOd so shine in us that others may see our good deeds and praise our Father in heaven. In His Word and Grace, Vic.

A Sunday Spiritual Hymn!

Sunday, July 10, 2011

A Blessed Sunday Morning To Everyone! There are so many beautiful hymns of praise and prayers. Today's hymn is no exception. It's an oldie. The words were created by Love M. Willes in 1856, and the music was created by John B. Dyles in 1862. The inspiriation for this hymn came from Mark 11:24-25, "..... Pray believing ye receive them.....that your Father which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses".

TITLE: FATHER, HEAR THE PRAYER WE OFFER

1. Father, hear the prayer we offer, Nor for ease this prayer shall be,
But for strength that we may ever, Live our life couragesly.

2. Not forever by still waters, Would we idly, quiet stay;
But would smite the living fountains, from the rocks along the way.

3. Be our strength in hours of weakness, In our wannderings be our share;
Thru endeavor, failure, danger Father, be Thou at our side.

4. Let our path be bright or dreary, Storm or sunshine be our share,
May our souls in hope unweary, Make Thy work our ceaseless prayer.

A beautiful prayer forr the Lord's Day. God Bless Everyone, Vic.

A Staurday Spiritual Hymn!

Saturday, July 09, 2011

Goooooooooood Morning Everyone! Today's hymn is an oldie, and a favorite of many. It's one where the music was created first by George Hews in 1835, and the words were created laterby Francis R. Havergal in 1872. The inspiration for this hymn came from 2 Tim 2:2, "And the things that thou hast heard of me........the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others".

TITLE: LORD SPEAK TO ME

1. Lord, speak to me that I may speak
In living echoes of Thy tone;
As Thou has sought, so let me seek
Thine erring children, lost and lone.

2. O strengthen me, that while I stand
Firm on the Rock and strong in Thee,
I may stretch out a loving hand
To wrestle with the troubled sea.

3. O teach me Lord, that I may teach
The precious things Thou dost impart;
And wing my words that they may reach,
The hidden depths of many a heart.

4. O fill me with Thy fullness, Lord,
Until my heart overflow;
In kindling tho't and glowing word,
Thy love to tell, Thy praise to show.

God Bless Everyone! Have a lovely weekend!
In His Word, Vic.
