A Friday Prayer and Message!

Friday, July 08, 2011

A Blessed Morning To Everyone! Thank you all for your comments and responses this past week. Give God all the glory and don't forget to share these prayers and messages with your love ones, your friends and your neighbors.

PRAYER: "Most Wonderful Father, Almighty God! Help us not to forget anyone in our prayers. Our list grows larger everyday. Show us the people who feel forgotten. Bring speicfic people into our mind who need our prayers: prayers for healing; prayers for relief; prayers for deliverance; prayers for mercy; and prayers for grace. Show us those people who need love, guidance and encouragment. You are the God we love and serve, and who is worthy of all praise, glory and honor. Thank You for answering our prayers. This we pray and ask in Jesus' blessed name, Amen!"

1. Let's recap what we have seen thus far in the first portrait of Jesus in John's gallery:
a. Jesus is the PREEXISTENCE WORD (In the beginning, John 1:1).
1. Jesis is the CONSTANT WORD (was the WORD, John 1:1).
2. Jesus is the COMMUNING WORD (was with God, John 1:1).
3. Jesus is the CONTROVERSAL WORD (the WORD was God, John 1:1).
4. Jesis is the CREATIVE WORD ( all things were made by Him, John 1:3).
b. Jesus is the PERSONALIZED WORD (the manifestation of a supernatural human).
1. The MANNER of His INCARNATION (The WORD was made flesh, John 1:14).
2. The MYSTERY of His INCARNATION ( made flesh, John 1:14).
3. The MAJESTY of His INCARNATION ( we beheld His glory, John 1:14).
2. Now, as we turn our attention back to the portrait, we see still yet something else:
a. Jesus is the PROCLAIMING WORD (He has declared Him, John 1:18).
b. Jesus came to reveal God to man.
c. The word "declared" means "to unfold".
d. Man needed to see God:
1. Not only as a LAWGIVER, but also as a LOVER;
2. Not only as a judge, but also as a JUSTIFIER.
3. PICTURE THIS! God is not some stern hateful being. God is a saving, caring God. Jesus proved it by the life He lived (John 14:7-9; Col 1:15; and Heb 1:3). Although no one has seen God in all His essence, we see God in the person of Jesus Christ; we see Him in us, and we see Him in others. What are you seeing? Who do others see in you? To be continued Monday.

May God help us to see the miracle of God the Son as human and also as God.
In His WORD, Vic.

A Thursday Prayer and Message!

Thursday, July 07, 2011

Aloha Everyone! Enjoy the love, laughter, and limelight that is yours today. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Awesome God! Show us how to take our stand against the devil's schemes. Grant us the ability and will to fight our modern, evil giants. We may not have stones to sling at them, but You have equipped us with weapons that You have provided: The Name of Jesus; His Powerful WORD; The Full Armor of God; and The Power of Prayer. Help us to find the courage and power we need, and make our refuge in Jesus Christ our Lord. Show us how to be ready to fight all evil, and most of all, remind us that the battle belongs to the Lord. This we pray in His Majestic name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Jesus, The Personalized WORD!
1. We stand before this portrait of Jesus in John's Gallery, mesmerized at what we see:
a. John 1:14 says, ...we beheld His glory".
b. John, along with James and Peter, saw the glory of Jesus in Matthew 17:1-13, in the TRANSFIGURATION, when Jesus allowed the veil of his flesh to be pulled aside to reveal the glory that was concealed underneath.
c. Jesus' greatest glory, however, was revealed the day He allowed man to crucify Him as He died for sinners and rose again (Matt 27; Mark15; Luke 23; and John 19).
d. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".
e. John 3:16 provides all the colors for this portrait: "For God so loved the world, that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life".
2. PICTURE THIS! One of the historic fundamentals of our faith is the vacarious atonement in which Christ died as a substitute for us, for our sins. In Gen 22:8, Abrahan told Isaac, " God will provide himself a Lamb", and God allowed a ram to be the substitiute. In John 1:29, John the Baptist, seeing Jesus coming to him said, "Behold the Lamb od God which takes away the sin of the world". Jesus was God's only acceptable sacrificial substitute for us. Oh yes! We can die for others, but Jesus died for everyone, so they could become a Christian. Are you a Christian? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God bless us and reveal to us the MAJESTY of the GLORY of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
In His Glory, Vic.

A Wednesday Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, July 06, 2011

Happy Wednesday Morning To Everyone! Wouldn't it be nice to have the right words to say for any occasion? "God Bless" and "I Love You" are two of my favorite sayings. Praise God!

PRAYER: "Loving Father, Merciful God! Oh, that we could learn to pray together in unity. Help us to find other believers who will stand and pray with us. Bring godly prayer partners into our life and increase the power of our prayers. Help us to maintain a oneness of the Spirit as we devote oueselves to worship, to prayers and to serving You our God. Unify us in our belief of Your WORD so we can lift up Jesus for the world to see. Let us not just join hands across the world, but enable us to join our hearts also. Help us to be one in Christ Jesus as He is one with You. This we pray and ask this morning in His name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Jesus, The Personalized Word!
1. We saw the MANNER OF HIS INCARNATION and now we turn our attention to THE MYSTERY OF HIS INCARNATION.
a. In Bethlehem, God was "made flesh" (John 1:14).
1. He appeared physically in history.
2. He stepped out unto the stage of humanity.
3. He stepped out of eternity and unto the stage of human history.
4. He who was the WORD of God, became tangible evidence and proof of:
a. The existance of God!
b. God's willingness to save mankind!
c. To reveal God to man.
2. PICTURE THIS! Thomas, one of the chosen twelve, needed proof of Jesus' resurrection, not just words, but actual physical proof. He wanted to touch the nail prints in Jesus' hands and the spear scar on Jesus' side in order to believe (John 20:24-28). Through the scripture, Jesus can be as real to us as He was to Thomas. Do we understand all there is to know about the MYSTERY of HIS INCARNATION? NO! Jesus said in John 20:29, "...blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed". Are you a "DOUBTING THOMAS"? To Be Conntinued Tomorrow!

May God help us to be free of all doubts and enable us to accept His WORD as THE TRUTH!
In His WORD and LOVE, Vic.

It is sad what abuse can do to a person's ability to express love. My ex had been abused terribly and he regularly told me to remember he didn't love me. He was afraid to love because he felt it gave power to the person he loved.

A Tuesday Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, July 05, 2011

Goooooooooood Morning Everyone! Time stops for no one, but consistently ticks off one second at a time. Each second brings us closer to our destiny with God. Give Him all praise and glory.

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Glorious God! Today we pray for people who need Good News. Use us to bring the good news of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Just as others have powerfully influenced us, equip us with the right words at the right time so those whose hearts are ready to hear and receive Your message of salvation may draw closer to Jesus. Open doors of opportunties for us so we may deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them. Open their hearts that they may receive the good news with joy. This we pray in the Saving name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Jesus, The Personalized Word.
1. The Manner of His INCARNATION is rich with meaning.
a. John 1:14 say, "He dwell among us".
b. Jesus lived among us, walked among us, worked among us, prayed among us, healed among us, suffered among us and died among us.
c. Even though He walked upon the earth like us, many who came into close contact with Him did not acknowledge Him as the PERSONALIZED WORD of God, but some did.
d. The INCARNATION of Christ Jesus was annouced throughout the scriptures.
1. In Gen 3:15, God announced it: "the seed of woman" which was the Incarnation of Christ Jesus.
2. In Isa 7:14, the prohpet gaves us more details, "A virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel (meaning, God with us).
3. In Luke 1:31-33, the angel speaking to Mary gives us the final details, "Thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call Him Jesus (which means, Yahweh is salvation).
e. A few years ago, former President Clinton visited Israel and was welcomed very well. Two thousand years ago, God dwell among them in Jerusalem and in Judia and they killed Him.
2. PICTURE THIS! The INCARNATION of Jesus Christ was purposed and planned in eternity before the creation, and promised, pictured, provided and proclaimed after the creation. Jesus is the PERSONALIZED WORD of GOD, sent to us by the Father to seek and save that which was lost....HUMANITY (You and Me). Where do you stand with the Savior? Are you still lost? To Be Continued Tomorrow.

May God grant us the wisdom and blessings to know the truth when we hear it.
In His Word, Vic.

A Monday Prayer and Message!

Monday, July 04, 2011

A Blessed 4th of July To Everyone! From our house to yours: Have fun and a safe celebration. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Blessed Father, Gracious God! It is always Your will for us to be joyful, to pray often, and to give thanks to You for all circumstances we face. Show us how to always do Your will so we may be pleasing unto You. Help us to remember to do your will joyfully, even when we do not see an answer to our prayers. We know that You are greater than anything we face, no matter what is happening in our life. Enable us to remember that Your will for us is always in Christ Jesus, our Lord, and that all spiritual blessings are in Him. Let us therefore come before Your throne of grace with humble spirits and grateful hearts. This we ask and pray in the blessed name of Jesus our Savior and Redeemer, Amen!"

MESSAGE: A Portrait of Jesus In John's Gallery!
1. We are about to walk away from the first portrait when we notice something else in that portrait that catches our eye.
a. John 1:14 says, "And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth".
b. This verse is one of the clearest in all scripture about the INCARNATION OF THE WORD (Jesus Christ).
c. We see therefore, the MANNER OF HIS INCARNATION.
1. How could God become a man? This is a mystery! And WHY?
2. The answers can be found only in God's mind, but this we know:
a. God chose a virgin named Mary.
b. He caused her to conceive miraculously and bring forth a baby boy.
c. When Jesus was born, God came to man.
d. His motive was LOVE for us.
2. PICTURE THIS! Somehow, the WORD became FLESH, even though Jesus existed before the creation; yet, He took upon himself a covering of flesh in Bethlehem. The Creator was born to the creature of His creation. He placed His life in the hands of mortal man. And almost immediately, they sought to kill Him. The life of Jesus is no longer in the hands of mortal man, but the life of mortal man is now in the hands of Jesus. Where do you stand?
To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God help us to believe the mysteries we do not understand by faith and the WORD.
In His Grace and Truth, Vic.
