A Saturday Spiritual Hymn!

Saturday, June 18, 2011

Goooooooooood Morning Everyone! Today's hymn was created by Alton H. Howard in 1977. He created both the words and the music. It's a wonderful hymn and the inspiration came from Ps 40:3, " And He has put a new song in my mouth....".

TITLE: He Gave Me A Song

1. He took my burdens all away, up to a brighter day,
He gave me a song, a wonderful song;
A wonderful song I now can sing, in my heart joy bells ring,
He gave me a song, a wonderful song.
(REFRAIN)

2. Brighter the way grows ev'ry day, walking the heavenly way,
He gave me a song, a wonderful song;
A wonderful song I now can sing, praises to Him, my King,
He gave me a song, a wonderful song.
(Refrain)

3. I am redeemed no more to die, never to say "goodbye,"
He gave me a song, a wonderful song;
And some of these days in that fair land, sing with the chorus grand,
He gave me a song, a wonderful song.
(Refrain)

REFRAIN:
He gave me a song, to sing about,
He lifted me, from sin and doubt;
Oh, praise His name, He is my King;
A wonderful song He is to me.

God Bless Everyone! Have a wonderful weekend. In His love, Vic.

A Friday Prayer and Message!

Friday, June 17, 2011

A Lovely Morning Everyone! Thank all of you for your wonderful responses and comments. We appreciate them very much. Give God all the glory and praise!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Loving God! Help us to move into the freedom You have for us. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Enable us to stand firm, then, and not allow ourselves to be burdened again by the yoke of slavery and sin. Thank You, Jesus, for securing this freedom for us. You gave Your life so we could be set free from the yoke of the enemies of our souls. Show us to not become entangled in it again. Make us aware when we accept some bondage in our life for which You died to set us free. Let us humble ourselves before You as we call out to You for deliverance and peace, and as we live our lives daily in honor to You. This we pray this morning with love in our hearts and in the name of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Following Jesus!
1. What about bad habits because of peer pressure?
a. Rom 13:14 reminds us to "put on the Lord Jesus Christ".
1. We should not seek opportunities to satisfy the deep-seated desires of the sinful nature.
2. We should seek occasion to manifest works that are consisstent with the new life in Jesus.
3. Therefore, we need to dress ourselves (Put On Christ) everyday.
b. 1 Pet 4:4 teaches us they (our peers) will think it strange that we run not with them, and they may even speak evil against us.
1. The life we live in Christ Jesus should incriminate our friends of their sinful activities.
2. We need to fellowship with Chrisatians in order to help us resist bad peer pressures.
3. There are good peer presuures and there are bad peer presuures.
4. We need to surround ourselves with new friends that support good habits.
2. THINK ABOUT THIS! We do not just "put on Christ" on Sundays and Wednesdays. We wear HIM ALL THE TIME! Otherwise, we are like that empty bottle on the rest of the days of the week. And we have already learned that "Bad Company Corrupts Good Character". Are you wearing Christ everyday? To Be Continued Monday!

May God Bless us with vision and understanding to the wisdom of His truth.
In His Love, Vic.

    "Bad company corrupts good character" is so true. May God provide us the wisdom to follow His Will when we are dealing with bad company.
Have a great day!

A Thursday Prayer and Message!

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Aloha Everyone! We appreciate all you responses and comments. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Merciful and Loving Father, Redeeming God! Help us and keep us from doing wrong when the failure of others test our faith. When we see the failure of a servant, strengthen us so that failure will not shake our faith. Help us to do the right thing and remain strong and faithful to You. Grant us faith that does not depend on the rise and fall of others, but rather a faith that is soilely dependent on Christ and His love for us. Christ will not fail us, but we might fail Him. Forgive us when we do fail. Help us to live daily so we do nothing wrong against Your Truth, but rather for Your truth. In sadness make us glad. In weakness make us strong. In prayer make us perfect in Christ Jesus our Lord. This we pray and ask in His blessed name, Vic.!"

MESSAGE: Following Jesus!
1. Let's look at STEP #10 - AVOID TEMPTATION!
a. In Matt 6:13, Jesus taught his disciples to pray that they not be led into temptation, but to be delivered from all evil.
1. This is a plea for the providential help of God in our daily confrontation with the temptation of sin.
2. God does not tempt us, but does test us when we are tempted in order to prove our faithfulness to Him
3, If we resist the devil's temptation, God is faithful to deliver us from all evil.
b. 1 Cor 15:33, reminds us not to be decieved; evil company corrupts good habits,
2. THINK ABOUT THIS! God's promise is an assurance to the true believer. Let's not deceive ourselves, but rather let us awake unto righteousness. Let's form good habits according to God's teachings and will, and not according to the world's teaching and will. Let's avoid darkness because that is where evil dwells. Let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and praise our heavenly Father. How bright is your light shining? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God bless us with His knowledge of His will and truth, and may His word strengthen us in our hour of weakness. In His Love and Mercy, Vic.

A Wednesday Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

A Blessed Morning To Everyone! Our 10" blooms this year are beautiful. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: " Holy Father, Divine God! Help us to find order and peace. We know You are the God of order, and order brings peace. We need Your order and peace in our life....we need You in our life. Grant us relief and deliverance from all disorders. Show us how to maintain Your order and peace in our daily living. Give us the wisdom to not allow anything that would disturb that order and peace to influence our life. Fill our heart, soul and mind with Yout Word and power. Fill our soul with Your Spirit so there is no room for evil or wickedness or sin. This we ask in the blessed name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Following Jesus!
1. Let's review what we have learned so far before we go on with the next Step:
a. Jesus said, " not everyone that calls me Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of God, but he who does the will of my Father" (Matt 7:21).
b. What is the will of the Father? (Eph 4:22-24).
1. Put off the Old man.
2. Put on the New man. (This is done through baptism (Rom 6).
3.. Give the New Man all power, authority and control. (Here is where many fall short).
c. How do we transfer that power from the Old Man to the New Man?
1. Step #1 - Change our purpose in life.
2. Step #2 - Believe we can change with God's help.
3. Step #3 - Study our Bible about our habits.
4. Step #4 - Repent of our sins.
5. Step #5 - Develop a plan of action.
6. Step #6 - Pray regularly.
7. Step #7 - Seek help from other Christians.
8. Step #8 - Diligently practice what is right.
9. Step #9 - Substitute good habits for bad ones.
2. THINK ABOUT THIS! Nature hates a vacuum. Remove the air from a bottle and the air will return. Fill the bottle with something solid and the air will stay out. Our life cannot not be a spiritual void. It must be filled either with good or evil, with Christ or Satan. To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God Bless us and fill our heart, soul and mind with the Fullness of Christ.
In His Divine Love, Vic.

A Tuesday Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

A Glorious Greeting To Everyone! Thank you for your rsponses and comments. Praise God and give Him all the glory.

PRAYER: "Loving and Merciful Father, Beloved God! We sometimes think that life is unfair. But if we suffer as a Christian and are not ashamed, then let us praise You that we bear the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. If we must suffer, than let us suffer for doing good rather than doing evil. May a greater good come from our suffrering. As your children, we surrender our lives to Your will and wisdom. Help our believing that our faithful obedience may be a blessing to us and to others. Strengthen our faith in times of trials that we may stand firm and bring praise, glory and honor to You our God. Enable us to live more and more like Christ each day. This we pray and ask in the glorious name of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Following Jesus!
1. What is wrong with just doing God's will partially?
a. Jesus gives us a precarious spiritual condition of what happens in Matt 12:43-45:
1. A house that is swept clean but unoccupied, is an invitation for unclean spirits, who leeft it but are unable to find a place of rest, to return and bring with them other unclean spirits, resulting even in a greater degeneration of the house than before.
2. If we invite Jesus to come live in our house, and he comes, cleans and sweeps the house, and that is what He does, it is for Him to live in. He must be the only one to occupy that house, the honored guest, the head of the house.
2. THINK ABOUT THIS! Can fresh water and salt water come from the same well? NO! It has to be one or the other. So it is with us when we put on Christ. What kind of water comes from your well? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May we all be blessed today with the wisdom of God. In His Grace, Vic.
