A Wednesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, April 06, 2011

An Illuminating Morning To All SP Members! Let's learn to see with the eyes of our heart. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Divine God! Grant us discernment! Help us to hear Your voice speaking to our hearts. Give us discernment so we may always distinguish between those who speak Your TRUTH and those who speak false prophesies. Protect us from false prophesies that fill us with fear and false hope. Teach us to examine what we hear against the teaching of the scriptures, so we may learn to discern and trust in Your Word. Let Your Spirit guide us in all truth as You have promised. Enable us to identify what is from You and what is not from You. This we ask in the Powerful name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Accuracy of the Bible!
1. We have seen two examples from the Old Testament, now let's look at an example of history and geography from the New Testa ment.
a. Sir William Ramsey was a skeptic who sought to dispprove the Book of Acts by tracing Paul's journeys.
b. Instead, his findings concerted him to a Christian.
c. Contrary to accepted views of that time, he proved the Bible to be correct when it implied that Iconium was in a different region than Lystra and Derbe (Acts 14:6).
2. What do you think about this? If the Bible did not speak the truth, would it then be no more than a book written by man? God inspired and the Holy Spirit guides the men who wrote the Holy Scriptures with correct details of history and geography. But what about SCIENCE? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God Help us see and discern correctly His TRUTH with love in our hearts and with hunger and thirst for the TRUTH. In His Light, Vic,

A Tuesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, April 05, 2011

A Glorious Morning To All SP Members! Look around you and see the glory of God. Give Him all praises!

PRAYER: "Glorious Father, Eternal God! We have but to look around us to see the glory of Your handiwork. Heal us O Lord, and we will be healed. Open our eyes, our ears and our heart to Your Word and Your presence in our life. How grateful we are that You came as our Hearler. Thank You for mercifully understanding how much we need Your healing hand. We ask this morning for Your healing touch on our bodies and in our soul. We know when You heal us, we will be completely restored in health, both physically and spiritually. Guide us and grant us the wisdom in knowing how to take good care of our bodies and soul, so we can glorify You to the world. This we pray in the Glorious name of our Healer, Jesus Christ, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Accuracy of The Bible!
1. Let's look at another example of the accuracy of the Bible:
a. Ex 1:11 - Teaches us that the Israelite slaves built two of the treasure cities of Pharaoh in Egypt: Pithom and Raamses.
b. These two cities were built using bricks of clay mixed with straw, then clay and stubbles, and then clay alone (Ex 5:10-210).
C. In 1883, Naville examined te ruins of Pithom and found all three types of bricks decribed in Exodus.
2. What do you think about this? Was this a coincidence, or was the Bible speaking the truth? Again and again we see history and geography bearing out that truth. What would it take to convince you of the accuracy of the scriptures?

May God Bless us today with healing of the eyes, ears, and heart. In His Power, Vic.

    I am loving these blogs. It has me thinking about history and the Bible. I need to go find some of the papers from a seminar on this. Sadly, I have forgotten it all. However, I more importantly, I do remember some Scripture. I have a lot of learning to do!
Thank you!

    Thank you for sharing this prayer. I have been gone from spark for about a year and now I'm back. It is amazing how much things change in time. As I look back at my own blogs and pictures I realize that God knew what my future was all along, even though I could not forsee the changes.

A Monday Morning Prayer and Message!

Monday, April 04, 2011

A Blessed Monday Morning To All SP Members! Be glad in yourheart for Jesus loves you. Give God all the praise!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Holy and Just God! We stand at the crossroad of life and look as we ask for ourselves and for our nation, for the ancient path and where the good way is so we may walk in it. But first, we confess before you our sins and the sins of this nation:
the disobedience, the selfishness, the greed, and the immoral acts of sin. Even though there are many who believe in You and walk in the way, far too may have refused to walk Your way. As we stand in the gap of the crossroad of life and look for the good way, we pray that many more people will join us in walking according to Your Law so that disaster to our nation may be avoided. Help us all to be listeners of Your Word and Doers of Your Word. This we pray in the BLessed name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Accuracy of the Bible!
1. The Bible is our Textbook for relgion, but it also touches many other areas in our life.
a. Skeptics have searched it mercilessly to disprove it, but have failed.
b. The Bible actiually speaks the TRUTH.
2. Let's look at HISTORY and GEOGRAPHY.
a. The Hittite Nation.
1. 2 Sam 11:3 - says that Uriah was a Hittite.
2. The Bible mentions Hittites often (Gen 15:19-21; Num 13:29; Josh 3:10; etc.), but for years skeptics have said that was wrong.
3. In 1906, Hugo Winkler excavated HATTUSA, the Hittite capital, and we now know that the Hittites rival Egypt and Assyria in glory.
3. What do you think about this? Does the accuracy of the Bible depend on man or on God? Do we walk by faith or by sight? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God help us to see the way clearly so we may walk in it....all the way to heaven and glory.
In Hid Grace, Vic.

    Hi!
Your words bring this hymn to mind,
WE WALK BY FAITH

We walk by faith, and not by sight;
No gracious words we hear
From Him Who spoke as man ne’er spoke;
But we believe Him near.

We may not touch His hands and side,
Nor follow where He trod;
But in His promise we rejoice,
And cry, “My Lord and God!”

Help then, O Lord, our unbelief;
And may our faith abound,
To call on Thee when Thou art near,
And seek where Thou art found.

That, when our life of faith is done,
In realms of clearer light
We may behold Thee as Thou art,
With full and endless sight.

May we all walk by faith in the One, True God!

Have a great day!

A Sunday Morning Inspirational Hymn!

Sunday, April 03, 2011

Goooooooooooooood Morning SP Members! Here is another lovely old hymn. The words were created by Fanny J. Crosby in 1870, and the music by William H. Doane, also in 1870. The inspiration came from Col 3:1-4, "set your minds on things above, not on earthly things"

Hymn Title: Safe In The Arms of Jesus

1. Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe on His gentle breast,
There by His love o'er-shaded, Sweetly my soul shall rest.
Hark! 'tis the voice of angels, Borne in a song to me,
Over the fields of glory, Over the jasper sea; REFRAIN.

2. Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe from corroding care,
Safe from the world's temptations, Sin cannot harm me there,
Free from the bright of sorrow, Free from my doubts and fears,
Only a few more trials, Only a few more tears. REFRAIN.

3. Jesus, my heart's dear refuge, Jesus has died for me;
Firm on the Rock of Ages, Ever my trust shall be.
Here let me wait with patence, Wait till the night is o'er;
Wait till I see the morning Break on the golden shore; REFRAIN.

REFRAIN:
Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe on His gentle breast,
There by His love o'er-shaded, Sweetly my soul shall rest.

Have a glorious Lord's Day and set your mind on things above. In His Glory, Vic.

A Saturday Morning Inspirational Hymn!

Saturday, April 02, 2011

Goooooooooood Morning SP Members! Here is lovely hymn by Whitey Gleason, who created both the words and the music in 1964. His inspiration came from Rom 3:24, "Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus".
We are declared righteous because of our redemption in Christ, as we receive this gift of grace (unmerited favor bestowed upon us) through the redemption (release payment of ransom).

Hymn Title: His Grace Reaches Me

1. Deeper than the ocean and wider than the sea.
Is the grace of the Savior, for sinners like me;
Sent by the Father, and it thrills my soul,
Just to feel and to know, That His blood makes me whole. REFRAIN

2. Higher than the mountains and brighter than the sun,
It was offered at Calvary for ev' ry one;
Greatest of treasures, and it's mine today,
Tho my sins were as scarlet, He has washed them away. REFRAIN

REFRAIN:
His grace reaches me, yes, His grace reaches me ,
And twill last thru eternity;
Now I'm under His control and I'm happy in my soul,
Just to know that His grace reaches me.

Have a GREAT WEEKEND, and Thank YOU all for your responses. In His Love and Grace, Vic.
