A Tuesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

A Blessed Morning To All SP Members! Life is full of challenges. How we meet and deal with these challenges determines the quality of life. It is quality and not quantity that makes the difference. Give God all the glory!

PRAYER: "Loving Father, Awesome God! Our prayer to You this morning is that You will establish and bless the workof our hands to Your glory. Give us the strength we need to accomplish that work. Grant us wisdom and ability to do it well. Guide us in every detail we do. And may the work of our hands find favor in Your sight. Enable us to lift up Jesus to the world and help us to become more like Him everyday. This we pray in the Blessed name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Challernge To Believe In Jesus Continues! (Mark 5:21-43).
1. There is no greater challenge in life than to believe, obey and follow Jesus.
a. Vs 35 - While Jesus was speaking to the woman that had been healed, there came certain men from Jarius house with bad news.
1. "Thy daughter is dead!"
2. "Why trouble the Master any further?"
3. Bad news travels fast and is often accompanied by unbelieving attitudes.
b. Vs 36 - Jesus offer Jarius the challenge we all need to understand:
1. "Be not afraid, only BELIEVE".
2. Death is not the end of life. Can we not ask yesterday's question here and just change "Death" for the word "Healing"? After DEATH, what comes next?
2. What do you think about this? Jesus tells us in the scriptures what comes next, but sometimes we do not listen. Has the scripture not told us there is a heaven and there is a hell, a place to which we will go? We shall all go to one or the other. Has the scripture not shown us that life is a journey from this shore to the other shore (Mark 4:35-41)? TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW!

May our Loving God help us to understand LIFE, the rewards, the punishment for those who fail to believe, and the gifts for those who do believe in Jesus. In His Love and Grace, Vic.

Is seems that in our church and many on tv, hell is not mentioned. Too many people are trusting that God is all loving and everyone will go to Heaven. Others may know better but put that thought out of their minds.

I know and appreciate that you tell it like it is ... even when it comes to diet and exercise. But your examples speak volumes.

Thank you.

Fay

A Monday Morning Prayer and Message!

Monday, March 14, 2011

Goooooooooood Morning SP Members! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Thank you for all your responses to the spiritual hymns. Give God the glory!

PRAYER: "Holy Father, Redeeming God! If we cherish sin in our hearts, You will not listen to our prayers. But You have listened to our prayers, have heard our voice in prayer, and have blessed us with Your heavenly gifts. Praise be to You our God, who has not rejected our prayers nor withheld Your love from us. Teach us to pray always with a pure and honest heart, so our hearts will be right before You. We know we do not do everything perfectly, so we ask that by the power of Your Holy Spirit and Word, You will enable us to keep a pure heart and clean hands before You. Thank You for loving us and helping us to do what is right in Your sight. This we pray in Jesus' Holy name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Challenge To Believe In Jesus Continues! (Mark 5:21-43).
1. Jesus was asked by Jarius to come heal his sick daughter (Vs 21-24).
2. On the way to Jarius' house, a woman with a blood disease seeks healing fron Jesus (Vs 25-33).
3. vS 34 - Jesus speaks to the woman as she comes before Him and tells Him she was the one who touched his clothes.
a. Jesus calls her "daughter" and tells her "your faith has made you whole".
b. So what comes after healing takes place?
1. Jesus told the woman "Go in peace" and "be whole in your affliction".
2. We ask for healing but do we consider what comes afterwards?
4. What do you think about this? Once we are healed, what comes next? Is healing all that we seek? Is the healing not a door opened to us to proceed to live a life that is pleasing to God. Are we not purified when we are healed? To Be Continued Toimorrow!

May God's love touch all our hearts and purify them to His glory. In His Love and Mercy, Vic.

A Sunday Morning Spiritual Hymn!

Sunday, March 13, 2011

A Blessed Sunday Morning To All SP Members! Hope everyone remembered to set their clocks one hour ahead this morning. PRAISE GOD!

In 1904, Jennie Wilson wrote the words to this hymn after reading Heb 13:6, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid". The music to it was created by F. L. Eiland in 1904 and arranged by Alton Howard in 1993. It's a wonderful hymn!

Title: Hold To God's Unchanging Hand

1. Time is filled with swift transition, Naught of earth unmoved can stand,
Build your hopes on things eternal, Hold to God's unchanging hand. (REFRAIN).

2. Trust in Him who will not leave you, Whatsoever years may bring,
If by earthly friends forsaken, Still more closely to Him cling. (REFRAIN).

3. When your journey is completed, If to God you have been true,
Fair and bright the home in glory, Your enraptured soul will view. (REFRAIN).

REFRAIN: Hold to God's unchanging hand! Hold to God's unchanging hand!
Build your hopes on things eternal, Hold to God's unchanging hand.

What a joy it is to know that we have an eternal home prepared for us (John 14:2)
Have a wonderful day as you worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth.
In His Love, Vic..

Good Morning Vic. May the peace of God be with you greatly today. Thank you so much for the hymm. The wife and I sat here and sang it out loud. Oh the memories it brought back to us. What a blessing. I hope you don't mind but I reposted it on my page to send to my friends. I will give you credit. Not that I think you are looking for that but that would be the right thing to do.I also added you to my friends list.

A Saturday Morning Spiritual Hymn!

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Goooooooooooood Morning SP Members! 1 Thes 4:17 inspired Albert E. Brumley to create the words and the music for this hymn, back in 1932. The scripture speaks about "being caught up together" (refering to the rapture) and stated "so shall we ever be with the Lord".

Hymn Title: I'll Fly Away

1. Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away. (REFRAIN).

2. When the shadows of this life have grown, I'll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I'll fly away. (REFRAIN).

3. Just a few more weary days and then, I'll fly away;
To a land where joy shall never end, I'll fly away. (REFRAIN).

REFRAIN: I'll fly away, O glory, I'll fly away;
When I die, Hal-le-lu-jah, by and by, I'll fly away.

What a glorious thought to meet the Lord in the air and to live with him forever. Now that's a GREAT EXIT!

Have a GLORIOUS WEEKEND! In His Love, Vic.

This is the #1 most requested hymn from the youth in our church! You can't sing it and not smile! Thanks! Please pray for the Morrow family.....memorial service today for Grandpa.........he was 82 years old, a career military veteran, and one of the most gentle, loving Christian men I've ever known. This will be a hard service for my husband to do; he was very close to him. All the kids in town (about pop 500) called him Grandpa. He's walking and talking with Jesus today! Thanks1

A Friday Morning Prayer and Message!

Friday, March 11, 2011

A Blessed Friday Morning To All SP Members! Thank you for all your rtesponses tou sent me this past week. Give God the glory!

PRAYER; "Heavenly Father, Glorious God! Create in us a spirit of trusting after you. You are our God, and believing in You is not enough unless we also trust in You. Teach us to earnestly seek after You, for our soul to thirst after You, for our bodies to long after You and Your Word, even as the deer thirst for water. O God, this is a dry and thirsty land where there is no water to quench our thirst. Ennable us to come to Your Fountain of Living Water and drink. Quench ourspiritual thirst as only You can do. Flow Your rivers of water into us so we can revive our souls and help others in this dry and dreary land to find fulfillment in our Lord. This we pray in the name of our Blessed Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen!".

MESSAGE: The Challenge To Believe In Jesus Continues! (Mark 5:21-43).
1. Vs 33 - The woman responds.
a. The woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came to Jesus, fell down before Him, and told Him the truth.
b. Phil 2:12 teaches us to work out our salvation with the same fear and trembling.
c. Let's come to Jesus with the same attitude as the woman.
d. Let's know what Jesus can do for us.
e. Let's hunble ourselves before Him, for He is the Almighty God.
f. Let's confess the truth to Him and proclaim Him as Lord and Master.
g. Let's get right with the Lord of Glory today.
2. What do you think about this? Can restoration be found in anyone else besides in Jesus? We claim to believe in Jesus, but do we trust Him enough to surrender all we have to his safe keeping? To Be Continued Monday!

May God bless us today with a trusting faith. In His Grace, Vic.

Such needed words in this truly dry and desperate world. Praying for the people in the path of the Tsunami today. Too much water of the wrong kind. Jesus has the living water. God help those souls who don't know Him yet. Amen emoticon

Ps. I like that you added the scripture lesson. Very helpful!
