A Saturday Morning Inspiring Hymn!

Saturday, March 05, 2011

Greetings To All SP Members! Isaiah 42:1-4 , "He did not shout or cry out, or raised his voice in the street", inspired Will I. Thompson to created the words and music to this wonderful hymn in 1880: SOFTLY and TENDERLY

1. Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, Calling for you and for me; See, on the portals He's waiting and watching, Watching for you and for me. (REFRAIN).

2. Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading, Pleading for you and for me; Why should we linger and heed not His mercies, Mercies for you and for me. (REFRAIN).

3. Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing, Passing for you and for me; Shadows are gathering, death-beds are coming, Coming for you and for me. (REFRAIN).

4. Oh! for the wonderful love He has promised, Promised for you and for me; Tho we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon, Pardon for you and for me. (REFRAIN).

REFRAIN: Come home, come home, Ye who are weary, come home; Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, Calling, O sinner, come home!

Have a wonderful weekend! If you are lost...COME HOME! God bless everyone, Vic.

Love this hymn. It is familiar and comforting. I love all the hymns we used to sing in church when I was a little girl.

A Friiday Morning Prayer and Message!

Friday, March 04, 2011

A Glorious Morning To All SP Members! Thank you for all your responses and comments this past week. I read them all. PRAISE GOD!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Fther, Almighty God! What are we that You make so much of us, that You give us so much attention? We are your sheep and You are our Shepherd. We need You, your care and guidance constantly, less we go astray or fall into some snare. It is hard for us to comprehend the depth of your love for us and why You care about every detail of our lives. We are grateful that in difficult times we can seek You and know that You are always beside us. You walk with us through the valleys of life and see us safely to the other side of pain and trouble. Forgive us when we blame You for things that happen in our life. Help us to always give You praise, glory and honor for loving us so much and being there when we need You. This we pray in the Blessed name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!".

MESSAGE: The Challenge To Believe In Jesus Continues! (Mark 5:21-43).
1. Vs 24 - Jeus went with Jarius and many people followed Him and thronged Him.
a. When I was in Vietnam and entered a village, chidren often followed me and thronged me.
b. Just because people follow you and throng you doesn't mean they all believe in you.
2. Vs 25-26 - Now we have a new twist in this story. You might say, we have a story within a story.
a. There was a certain woman in the crowd.
b. She had a "Blood Flow" problem for 12 years.
c. That made her unclean (remember the man possessed with demonic spiirits) and she could have been stoned to death for being there.
d. She had suffered many things of physicians, had spent all she had, and was no better, but had grown worse (That sound familiar?).
e. Why would she risk her life by being in that crowd?
3. What do you think about this? Suppose you are the woman; you have a medical problem for 12 years, have been to doctors who took your money, treated you but unable to cure you, and you have grown worse? What would you do if Jesus had come to your shore? To Be Conntinued Monday!

May God help us and show us how to pray so He may pour out the blessings of healing and deliverance upon us. In His Love and Grace, Vic.

A Thursday Morning Prayer and Message!

Thursday, March 03, 2011

Aloha SP Members! what a joy we have when we are in Jesus and doing His will....our cup overflows. PRAISE GOD!

PRAYER: " Merciful Father, Holy God! What we fear comes upon us; what we dread happens to us; and we have no peace, no quietness, no rest, only turmoil. We life up to You our deepest fears and ask You to deliver us from them. Set us free, O Lord, from all dread and anxiety. We place all our fears at Your feet, along with our issues, troubles and problems, knowing You have the power to loosen us from all these things. In Your presence, our fears are gone; In Your presences all our fears are dissolved by Your perfect love. Thank You Lord for being GREATER than anything we have to face on this earth. This we pray in Jesus' Blessed name, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Challenge To believe In Jesus Continues! (Mark 5:21--43).
1. What did Jarius ask Jesus? (Vs 23).
a. He besought (pleaded earnestly) - "My little girl is at the point of death: Come and lay thy Hands on her, that she may be healed, and she may live".
b. First he explains the situation and who is involved.
c. Then, he asked one thing: "Come and lay thy hands on her". WHY?
d. For two reasons:
1. That she may be healed.
2. That she may live.
3. Note the faith in his request.
2. What does God desire for us?
a. That we may be healed (Ps 103:3).
b. That we may live (Gal 2:19).
3. Did Jarius ask Jesus to do what man cannot do?
4. What do you think about this? When we ask Jesus, do we ask with the same level of faith that Jarius did? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May our Loving God bless us with a faith that demonstrates our belief and trust in Him
In His Grace By Faith, Vic.

Thank you Sweetie as always with your teachings you give us so much to ponder

Faith is more than a belief in Christ; it is a principle of action. To have faith in Christ is to be willing to act on your belief in Him.

Faith in Christ leads you to want to change your life for the better. As your faith increases, you will desire to repent of your sins., you will want to change those thoughts and actions that are not in harmony with the teachings that Heavenly Father has revealed through His Son, Jesus Christ.

As you obey Heavenly Father, He blesses you. He gives you inner strength and determination to meet life's challenges and helps you change the desires of your heart. Through your faith in Jesus Christ, you can be healed, both physically and spiritually.and in my case He also helped me mentally

A Wednesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, March 02, 2011

A Glorious Morning to All SP Members! We have now seen two stories from the Bible that challenges us to believe in Jesus and obey Him, but if that's not enough evidence, then here is another story. Praise God!

PRAYER: "Loving Father, Awesome God! We came into this world nakes, and we shall departed this world naked, for You O God are the only Almight God who has the power to give and to take away. May the name of our Loving God be praised always. We praise You no matter what is happening in our lives---in good times and in bad times. Even in the midst of loss, disappointment, sickness and failure, we will lift up praises unto You our God because we know that in every situation You will work powerfully in our behaf and be glorified in the process. Thank You Father for loving us so much. Thank You God for being such an Awesome God. This we pray in the blessed name of Jesus our Lord, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Bible Challenges Us Time and Time Again to BELIEVE IN JESUS and OBEY HIM.
1. Mark 5:21-43 - Challenges us again to believe in Jesus with two more stories.
a. Vs 21 - Jesus and his disciples have departed the region of the Gadarenes by ship and have passed over to the other side of the sea where they find a different reception from the previous one.
1. " Much people gathered unto Him".
2. It seems that He no sooner landed than the people came to him.
b. Vs 22 - A ruler of a synagogue, named Jarius, came to Him and fell at his feet.
1. In the previous story, it was a man possed by demons that fell at his feet.
2. In this story, it is a man who is a ruler of a worship place that falls down before Him, except that this man is sincere in his worship to Jesus.
3. The demons spoke to Jesus and asked not to be sent into everlasting punishment.
4. What will this man ask of Jesus?
2. What do you think about this? What will you ask of Jesus today? Will your worship to Him be sincere? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God bless us all today with the power to praise Him aways in every occasion so He can be glorified no matter what. In His Blessed Love and Grace, Vic.

A Tuesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, March 01, 2011

A Glorious Morning To All SP Members! Let's remember to share these prayers and messages with love ones and friends and invite them to join the team. PRAISE GOD!

PRAYER: "Holy Father, Gracious God! Help us to understand the power of ONE in Christ Jesus. Help us to be a person who has a heart for You and Your Way. Help us to be the one who is in the right place at the right time to reach out to those in need. Enable us as we pray and fast to have a powerful impact on the world around us. Strengthen us so that we may stand for what is right and good, as we follow the examples of our Lord and Master. Make our prayers powerful enough to save the lives of those for whom we pray. This we ask and pray in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen!"

MESSAGE; The Challenge To Belive In Jsus! (Mark 5:1-20).
1. I find it most interesting how this story ends.
a. The once tormented man, now dressed and in his right mind, asked to go with Jesus when Jesus was asked to leave by the people of that region.
1. Vs 19 - Jesus told him to stay, "go home to your friends, and tell them how great things the Lord has done for him".
2. Many of us would have probably said, "Sure! Come on! We are not wanted here."
3. The truth is, he was needed there.
4. Jesus gave him a commision even as He has given us the Great Commision today ( Matt 28:19-20).
b. Let me suggest that the man had started now the journey in life with Jesus by FAITH in OBEDIENCE to the word and the work he was given.
1. Vs 20 - The man departed (obeyed) and began to proclaim throughout the many settlements of that region (Decapolis) the great things Jesus had done for him.
2. Faith without works (Obedience) is DEAD. But faith with works (OBEDIENCE) is the key to life.
2. What do you think about this? If Jesus can do what man cannot do, than He must be the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and that's Good News for you and me.
a. Do you know my Jesus?
b. Is yourfaith "DEAD" or "ALIVE"?
3. We will begin another story tomorrow!

May God open our hearts and eyes to the clear message of Christ, and bless us.
In His Loving Service, Vic.

Perhaps we asked the Lord into our lives and hearts years ago, months ago, but if that is not the case, nevertheless, we are always in the right place to do so, and now is just the right time, either to renew our commitment to Him, or to invite Him into our hearts as Savior and Lord, if we have never done so before.

Thank you Sweetie for your constant prayers and teachings, keeping us strong in His word
