A Monday Morning Prayer and Message!

Monday, January 10, 2011

Aloha Spark Members! Thank you for all your responses. I hope we are all learning about moral and immoral behavior in this study.

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Awesome God! Sometimes we forget the power of your promises; Sometimes we doubt them. But when we see the rainbow appear in the sky, we remember the everlasting covenant between You and all living creatures, and we are reassured of the power of your promises. Thank You Father for always keeping your promises to us. We recall your promises in our minds, keep them in our hearts and speak them when we forget them or doubt them. Help us to push away from us all doubts , and forgive us when we forget them. Help us to remember that Jesus is our ultimate proof that You have always kept your promises and that You will always keep Your promises. It's in His name that we pray this morning, Amen!"

MESSAGE: An Appeal To All Believers!
1. Heb 6:12 - An appeal to all Christians.
a. Not to be slothful (Sluggish).
b. But to be followers (Imitators) of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises of God.
c. Who then should we imiate? FOR SURE.....JESUS! And also those Christian leaders who are not selling Jesus but are imitators of Christ.
2. Heb 13:7-10 - The appeal is for us to remember:
a. Those that have the rule over us (Who lead us) (vs 7).
1. Who speak the word of God to us.
2. Whose faith is revealed by their conduct.
b. Jesus is our example and theirs, and his example never changes (vs 8).
c. Be not carried away by false and artificial teachings...Remember that Jesus hasn't and will never change (vs 9).
1. Let your hearts be established with God's grace.
2. Only those who follow Jesus' example will in herit the promises of God.
3. The responsibility for following Jesus' example rest with each one of us. What do you think about this? To Be Continued!
May we be blessed in our choices and in our conduct thereoff.
In His Love, Vic.

TITLE: You Are The Song That I Sing

You are the words and the music, You are the song that I sing,
You are the melody, You are the harmony, praise to Your name I will bring;
You are the Lord of Lords, You are the Mighty God, You are the King of all kings,
So now I give back to You the song that You gave to me, You are the song that I sing.

God Bless Everyone Today, Vic.

Title: The Battle Belongs To The Lord

1. In heavenly armor we'll enter the land, The battle belongs to the Lord.
No weapon that's fashioned against us will stand, the Battle belongs to the Lord.
Refrain:

2. When the power of darkness comes in like a flood, the Battle belongs to the Lord. He's raised up a standard, the power of his blood, the battle belongs to the Lord. Refrain:

3. When your enemy presses in hard do not fear, the Battle belongs to the Lord. Tale courage my friend, your redemption is near, the Battle belongs to the Lord.
Refrain:

Refrain:
And we sing glory, honor, power and strength to the Lord. We sing glory, honor, power and strength to the Lord.

A Friday Morning Prayer and Message:

Friday, January 07, 2011

Greeting Spark People! For the month of January, let's invite two or three friends to come join God's Family Team. And also, let's remember to share the daily prayers and messages with others. Praise God!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Almighty God! We know that Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and that he walked with You because he LISTENED to You. Help us to live like Noah, with a deep sense of your presence. Life would not be worth much unless we take time to be with You, to listen to You and to walk with You. Grant us a relationship with our Lord that is strong, where others may see Your Spirit in us. Show us how to draw near to You in prayer and in living so we can hear your voice speaking to our hearts. May we follow Jesus daily with all our heart, soul and mind. This we ask and pray in the name of Jesus, our Redeemer, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Do we use the same standard on ourselves that we profess to others?
1. Matt 23:1-7, 13-36 - All the works that the scribes and Pharesees did was "for to be seen of men".
a. They profess their religious burdens and bind them on others, but they themselves did not keep them (vs 1-7).
b. We profess to follow certain standards and apply them to others, yet we justify ourselves in not following those same standards.
c. Jesus called them "HYPROCITES!" (vs 13-36). What do you think He would call us if we did the same thing?
d. Should we expect others to follow rules we do not follow?
e. Shoud we follow one set of rules around certain people, and a different set of rules around other people?
2. What do you think about this? To Be Continued Monday!
May God help us to be more like Jesus Christ and less like ourselves.
God Bless, Vic.

A Thursday Morning Prayer and Message:

Thursday, January 06, 2011

Gooooooooooood Morning Spark People! Thank you for all your comments and responses to the blogs. Give God the glory!

PRAYER: "Loving Father, Creator of all things in this universe! We wake each morning to your creation, and walk daily in Your Beautiful Garden. For these two privileges we are indeed grateful. We want m0re than anything to have a closer walk with You in your creation, in Your Beautiful Garden. Help us not to forfeit that wonderful intimacy with You by being drawn towards the distractions of this world. Enable us to hear your voice when You call us so we can respond and answer your call without hesitation. Help us never to find the need to hide from You for any reason; help us to seek and search for you daily. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen!"

MESSAGE: Who else should we submit to?
1. 1 Pet 5:5-7 - Teaches us to submit ourselves to the Elders of the Church.
a. We are commanded to be subject one to another.
b. We are to humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God so He can exalt us.
c. Elders are the men who govern in God's Church, who watch over the flock and guide them.
2. Several verses of scripture teaches us to submit to these authorities as we would to the Lord. Consider what this means:
a. Should we look for loopholes so we won't have to obey?
b. Should we obey them blindly or with the knowledge of God's truth?
c. Should we do things secretly without their knowledge and wisdom?
3. Why submit to Elders and to one another? (1 Pet 5:8-11)
a. We need guidance because we are like sheep that go astray.
b. We need help because our adversary the devil is like a roaring lion who goes about seeking whom he may devour.
c. We need support to get us through afflictions.
4. Submission is always in the Lord: to those in authority, godly men, those that rule over us with God's care and love.
5. What if they are not following God's agenda? What do you think?
6. To Be Continued!

May submission be granted unto us daily and may God's wisdom guide us as we apply it in our life. In His Love, Vic.

Thank you Sweetie, but it brings to mind the Book of Judges.

In Judges 21:25, we read, in those days there was no king in Israel and every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

We have to submit to God's laws just to survive
