A Thursday Morning Prayerful Hymn and Message!

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Merry Xmas Team Members! What a blessing and joy it is to share God's Word with you daily....Give God all the glory!

Prayerful hymn created by me in 1985: "Teach Me!"

1. Teach me to love, Father like you; teach me to love, a love pure and true.
Teach me to love, sinners like me; teach me to love, just like you.

Refrain:
A prayer to you Father, a song just for You;
A hymn to you Jesus, in honor of You;
A prayer thru you Spirit, song from the heart;
A prayer and song, to our Father above.

2. Teach me to care, Jesus like you; teach to care, to be faithful and true;
Teach me to care, for sinners like me; teach me to care, just like you.

Refrain:

3. Teach me to share, Spirit like you; teach me to share, the Gospel so true;
Teach me to share, with sinners like me; teach me to share, just like you.

Refrain:

We have seen what the scripture says about our role in Time and Opportunity, and in Possessions; now let's see what it says about our role in HEALTH:
1. 1 Cor 6:19-20 - To whom do our bodies belong?
a. We learned earlier that everything belongs to the Lord, and that includes our bodies.
b. We are merely Stewards; stewards both physically and spiritually.
c. Our body is the Temple for the Holy Spirit, which is in us if we are in Christ.
d. We receive both body and spirit from God.
e. We are not our own.
f. We were bought for a price (Christ paid that price for us at Calvary).
g. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit.
h. They are God's.
2. To Be Continued Friday!

May we be blessed as we honor what God has given us (Both body and Spirit) with love and respect. In His Love, Vic.

A Wednesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Merry Xmas Team Members! It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas! Praise God!

"Heavenly Father, Most High God! The Lord is so good to us! He's our refuge in times of trouble and He cares for those who trust in Him. If we were to place our troubles on a pile where other people also place their's, and we were to see their problems, we might want to take our problems back. If we were warned that in five minutes a great disaster would come upon us, we would flee immediately; and yet You have warned us that a greater disaster is coming on us, our death and judgment, and you have given us this time to flee to safe ground in Jesus Christ. Yet, many of us linger, wondering what we shall take with us. Let us heed your warning and be ready now, lest we are overtaken in eternal destruction. Help us to trust on You during difficult times and also happy times. This we pray in the name of Jesus our Savior, Amen!"

Scriture shows us how Good Stewards use their POSSESSIONS:
7. Acts 4:32-35 - Believers need to be of one heart and one soul.
a. That believed that what they possessed was not their own.
b. They held all things in common, and neither was there among them any that lacked.
c. They sold what they possessed and gave so that distribution was made among the saints unto each person according to thier need.
8. 2 Cor 8:1-5 - The secret to being a Good Steward is revealed here....as they gave, they first gave themselves to the Lord.
9. 2 Cor 9:6-10 - The manifestation of a good steward is seen here:
a. He/she knows that they shall reap according to what and how they sow.
b. We should not give grudgingly or of necessaity, but cheerfully, a willing heart.
c. Giving is not a joke; it is serious business and yet a delightful experience.
d. God is our example in giving (John 3:16).
Tomorrow we will look at HEATH!

May the Lord bless you and be gracious unto you, and may his face shine upon you. In His Love, Vic.

A Tuesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Greetings Team Members, from God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, and us. What are you doing this holiday season to help spread the Good news about Jesus Christ?

"Heavenly Father, Almighty God! How blessed we are to have You as our God, our Provider and Protector. No one stands as straight as when they stoop down to help someone. What a magnificent thought it is to know that Our God stoops down to help us, who humbles Himself to lift us up. Praise the Lord all ye people for our God is our example, the one we ought to imitate. Open our eyes Father, to every opportunity to be like You in helping others. Help us to rejoice in following your example, and know the joy that comes from serving You in the way You want us to serve you. Father, we give You all praises, all gory and honor. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen!"

As we continue to look at what the scripture teaches us about POSSESSIONS, we see we have learned that nothing we have is ours: it all belongs to the Lord. We are merely STEWARDS who have the responsibility to use and care for those things we have to the glory of God. Here then, we see a potential problem with which we all struggle: To let go of what is physical in order we may reach out for the Spiritual things which are are of greater value.
5. Matt 6:19-21 - Teaches us not to lay up treasures (Riches, Physical things) upon the earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break in and steal. But rather we are to lay up treasures in heaven (Spiritual things) where none of these can happen; because where our treasure is, that is where our hearts (Focus) will be.
6. Matt 6:24-34 - Teaches us that we can only serve one master:
a. Either we will hate the one and love the other.
b. Or hold on to the one and despise the other.
c. We cannot serve God and physical riches.
d. We must choose one or the other.
e. We must let go of one in order to reach out for the other.
7. To be continued Wednesday.
May each of you be blessed today with INSIGHT and UNDERSTANDING.
In His Love, Vic.

A Monday Morning Prayer and Message!

Monday, December 13, 2010

Aloha Team Members! Thank you for all your responses and hope you had a wonderful weekend....Give Gopd the Glory!

"Heavenly Father, God of Peace! We cannot keep from speaking about what we have heard and learned about You. Your love is fully faithful! You hears us when we pray and You answer our prayers. Help us always to find the voice to praise You and proclaim your Word. You have done more for us than we can ever know or repay. Help us to worship You everyday and not just once or twice a week. Draw us close to You. Work in us through Your Spirit and Your Word to help our voices to praise You, the glory and honor You deserve. You are the God of actions, so let our words be words of actions: seeking, remembering, thinking, proclaiming, clinging, praying, believing, obeying, doing. Let us not just be hearers of the Word, but also Doerers. This we pray in the name of Jesus our Savior, Amen!"

As we continue to look at POSSESSIONS, knowing that what we received is not really ours, but His, and that we are merely STEWARDS of these things, let's now look at the following verses of scripture:
3. 1 Tim 6:9-12 - Those who are rich in earthly possessions are tempted and snared into foolish and hurtful lust, which drowns them in destruction and perdition. Why? For the love of mony is the root (source) of all evil. The ambition to be rich not only causes them to fall from the faith, but it pierces them through with many sorrows. O chidren of God, flee from these things because they will be your undoing. Follow instead after righteousness, faith, love, patience and meekness. Fight the good fight of faith and receive the greatest treasure of all.....eternal life.
4. 1 Tim 6:17-19 - Seeing the dangers of the wrong kind of riches, what should we do with our possessions we have received?
a. Be not highminded about them.
b. Nor trust in certain riches.
c. Trust instead in the Living God who gives us these riches.
d. Do good works by giving and sharing what you have been given.
e. Lay a good foundation against the time that's coming so you can receive the true riches of heaven.
5. To Be Continued Tuesday!

Know the dangers of wanting the wrong things in life which will destroy us, let us learn to be Good Stewards of what we have been given.
May God bless each of you today. In His Love, Vic.

    Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God. Ė Leviticus 19:10

This law handed down to the ancient Israelites required that landowners leave any grain that dropped to the ground during harvest; they were forbidden to pick their fields clean. They were not allowed to even collect the stalks growing on the edges of their fields.

The leftovers belonged to the poor, especially widows, orphans, and needy foreigners. In this way, an agricultural society could provide a safety net for the poor. Because their land really belongs to God, the practice of gleaning served to remind landowners that they were stewards of Godís property, sharing with those less fortunate.

What an important reminder during times of economic stress as we reflect on the One who really owns and provides all we have and enables us to share with those who have less.

A Sunday Morning Hymn!

Sunday, December 12, 2010

Title: Go Tell It On The Mountain

Refrain:
Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere;
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.

1. The shepherds all were watching, while seated on the ground,
A light from heaven descended and glory shown around.

2. This light shown in the heavens, to cover all the earth;
It was sign to tell men, about our Savior's birth.

3. The wise men came to worship, the Holy Child that day;
They found Him in the manger, asleeping in the hay.

Merry Xmas and may Heaven's blessings rest upon you today.
In His Love, Vic.
