Aloha Everyone! Another beautiful, warm and cool day here. Managed to get in 8 miles.
"Heavenly Father, God of all creation, how thrilling, yet sobering, to understand that you care for us as your personal sheep. You spend long hours with each one of us daily; you know us by name, by character, by strengths and weaknesses.
You know which one will respond to your voice and follow You. You know which one is independent, will wander away and get lost. You know our physical and spiritual needs. You know which one will come to You for an ear rubbing and which one will pull away. You faithfully care for us, love us, rescue us, restore us, and provide for us. Help us to delight and submit to your care, for we are the sheep of your hands, and we praise you as our Loving Shepherd. This we pray in Jesus' name, Amen!"
In setting us free from so many things, Jesus frees us also from lies and ignorance. Read John 8:32. The Word of God is Truth (John 17:17). That truth is what sets us free: Free to believe in Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God (John 8:30); Free to continue in His Word, and to be His disciples indeed (John 8:31); Free from the power of sin, not that we are blameless, but washed in the His blood, cleansed from all sins (John 8:32-36). We are freed by Jesus because only those who abide in Him are freed. WOW! Now that's something to think about! God Bless each of you today with his TRUTH!
In his love, Vic.

Gooooooooooood Morning Everyone! Thank you, Thank you, for your responses and comments. It's good to be back and doing the work the Lord has given me.
"Heavenly Father, Holy God, how great is the love you have lavished upon us, that we may be called your children. You honor us by calling us your children and we thank you. Help us Father, never to dishonor you or your great love. Teach us to call upon you in our hour of need and to praise you always. We know you want is to be righteous and faithful, and not to turn from you in rebellion. Give us the strength to not be carried away by temptations and our desires for worldly things, but to seek first and always, your kingdom and your righteousness. Thank you for Jesus who died to take away our sins. Forgive us our sins. Enable us to give glory and honor to you and your name, by helping us following your commandments. This we pray and ask in Jesus' name, Amen!"
I'm amazed at all the ways we are freed in Jesus! Aren't You? Here is another way in which we are freed. Read Matt 10:8. What are we freed from? We are freed from selfishness. We are freed to do good works for others, so they may see our light shine, and praise our God in heaven. Not for our glory, but for His glory. Why should we esteem others more than ourselves? Because, "Freely we have receive, let us freely give". We are to be guided by Jesus' example in our actions towards other. Now! That is something to think about! May God bless each of you today with his Great Love. In His Love, Vic.

Greetings Everyone! Again, thank you for your kind responses and comments.
"Loving Father, Awesome God, what a joy it is to come into your presence everyday, and know that you listen to our prayers and answer them. Thank you, Father! Teach us this morning how to manage conflicts your way. Help us to be frank with you always, to depend on you, to live at peace with everyone, to not seek revenge but rather to leave room for your wrath when we bring our conflicts before you. Be our Rock and our Fortress in our hour of need. Forgive us as we forgive others. Deliver us from the hands of the wicked and evil. Teach us to build our hope on Jesus' blood and righteousness. And enable us to bless and not curse others. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen!"
As we read Prov 6:1-3, we learn that we can be freed from traps and snares of the wicked, and from fallen and folly caused by our own mouths. How do we free ourselves from these conflicts in which we sometimes find ourselves? The Bible teaches us to first humble ourselves. When we humble ourselves before God, he will lift us up and deliver us from our folly and foolishness. He will take care of conflicts, if we allow him to do it his way. Let's heed the warning against idleness and foolishness therefore, and turn our conflicts over to Him Who is above all things. May God bless each of you with his wisdon today. In His Love, Vic.

Aloha Everyone! Thank you for your responses and welcoming back.
"Gracious Father, Loving God, we come before you this morning with a humble spirit and a grateful heart; thanking you father for your grace, your love and your mercy. This morning we seek an awaking soul. Silence the noises of empty distractions, deafen the ears to ambitions and fears, mute the soul-numbing voices of disappointment and pain, and awaken our whole being to your Loving presence. How wonderful it would be if we could be wide awake spiritually all the time. Awaken our spirit by your word so we may respond in unrestrained joy and worship You in Spirit and in Truth. Let your Word be the word we need to hear today, speak our name, captivate us with your loving presence, ignite within us a holy vibrancy, and open to us an abundance of God-filled, deeply refreshing, wide awake life. This we pray and ask in Jesus' precious name, Amen!"
What else can we be freed from by Jesus? Read Ps 146:5-9. David was freed from being a prisoner, and so can we. Have you ever been "Wanted Dead or Alive"? I Have! While serving in Vietnan, the Vietcon had issued a poster "Wanted Dead or Alive" on me. They offered 25,000 Piasters for my head but God delivered me. What has God freed us to do? He has freed us to uphold good causes, to feed the hungry, to give sight to the blind, to lift up the bowed down, to watch over others, to sustain the fatherless and widows, and to frustrate the the way of the wicked. How can we accomplish this? We can do all these things when we are in Christ and have an awaken spirit. Jesus said in Matt 25:40, "...Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me". Have you been freed yet to do these things? This is something to think about! May God bless each of you today with a spiritual awakening! God Bless, Vic.

Gooooooooooood Morning Everyone! We had a GREAT Vacation and we are glad to be home.
"Heavenly Father, Beloved God, you are indeed worthy of all praise, glory and honor. We pray this morning for a pure heart. We know you did not call us to be impure, but rather to live a holy life. Teach us to Aspire, to Ask, and To Act, so we may receive and live a holy life. Help us to have the desire to attain a pure heart. We cannot attain a pure heart without your help, your Word, and Your Spirit. Enable us to act in such a way as to attain a pure heart. Help us not to be just hearers of the Word, but also to be Doers of the Word. Create in us a free choice so we may choose Yopur Will and Your Way over our will and ways. This we pray in Jesus' Precious name, Amen!"
God has set us free in so many ways. Read Ps 119:29-32. What was Davis freed from? He was freed from deceitful ways. We need to be freed also from deceitful ways. What was David freed to do? He was freed to follow the way of truth and happiness. We too can be freed to follow the way of truth and happiness. How was David set freed? He was set free in his heart. We can be set free in our hearts also, by doing what David did....TURN TO GOD FOR GUIDANCE AND DIRECTION. Matt 5:8 tells us, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God". This is worthwhile thinking about! May God bless everyone today with a pure heart. In His Love, Vic.
