A Friday Morning Prayer and Message!

Friday, October 15, 2010

Gooooooooooood Morning Everyone! Yesterday was a blessed day! we held a home bible study in our home and invited people in our community and three of them came and studied with us. Praise God!

"Eternal Father, Holy God, we praise you for your loving kindness, for your wonderful grace, and for your tender mercy, for you are such a GREAT GOD and yet you are a God also of the little things in our life. Teach us Father, to praise you with our whole heart; teach us to tell others of your marvelous works; teach us to be glad and rejoice in you; teach us to sing praises to your awesome name. Help us not to forget to look for you in all the little details in our life. Help us to remember that your presence is everywhere, if we will take the time to notice. Open our eyes and hearts that we may see your majesty and unspeakable glory. This we pray and ask in Jesus' name, Amen!"

When was the first time God told man he was free to do something? If you answered, "In the Garden", you are correct. In Gen 2:16-17 God told man, "Of every tree in the garden thou may FREELY eat; but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it; for in the day thou eastest thereof thou shall die." God created man a free condition, but man broke God's one and only law and empowered Satan into his life. So it is with us today, but God has provided a way through our Lord, Jesus Christ, to free us from the law of sin. What does it mean to be FREE? It means to be be free from contamination and corruption. God's aim has always been and will always be to protect us, if we allow him to do it. To Be Continued. Have a safe weekend and we will continue our study on Monday. God Bless, Vic.

A Thursday Morning Prayer and Message!

Thursday, October 14, 2010

Greetings everyone! We love your response and comments. Thank you and Praise God!

"Heavenly Father, Righteous God, may we lie down and sleep in peace because you alone, O God, make us to dwell in safety when we are in Christ Jesus. Help us not to sin when we are in distress. Help us to search our own hearts to be sure that our motives and attitudes are right. Help us to come to you and worship you as we place our love and devotion on the altar. Let the light of your face shine upon us and fill our hearts with your joy and peace. Enable us to turn our lives over to you in total obedience and sleep each night soundly in your loving arms. This we pray and ask in Jesus' name, Amen!"

Paul was a minister of the New Covenant to those in Macedonia. What are we suppose to be today? Are we not also ministers of the New Covenant to those to whom we have been sent? When did we receive this New Covenant? The New Covenant was institued by the Lord in the Lord's Supper, fulfilled on the cross, and given to us who are Christians in Christ Jesus. God has set us fee and called us to be ministers of the New Covenant. He has commanded us to go preach, teach, and make disciples for the New Covenant to those who are lost in the world so they may perish. Are you doing your part? Are you fulfilling His ministry and your obedience to the Lord? To Be Continued! May heaven's blessings be upon you today and the light of Jesus' face shine upon you. God Bless, Vic.

This is a powerful message. An old adage along these lines is that if we have a clear conscience we will sleep peacefully. If we obey the Lord, our conscience is clear. emoticon emoticon emoticon

A Wednesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Aloha Everyone! We are delighted to receive your responses and comments. Thank you and Praise God!

"Loving Father, Holy God, there is nor fear in your love. You are our God and You are Love. You have given us a choice in life, to fear or to have faith. We choose Faith because fear involves tormment and makes us imperfect, while faith involves truust and makes us perfect in Christ. It is jesus who rescues us and saves us, and we are forever grateful. Fear imprisons us while faith liberates us; fear paralyzes us while faith empowers us; fear dishardens us while faith encourages us; fear sickens us while faith heals us; fear makes us useless while faith makes us useful. We are indeed blessed to have such a loving God. May we face all our troubles and challenges of each day with faith in Jesus in our hearts. We will never be moved as long as we walk by faith. Our God is alive and may His blessings show us the way. This we pray and ask in Jesus' name, Amen!"

"Am I not free"? Paul asked. In 2 Cor 2:12-17, Paul has gone to Troaz to preach the gospel of Christ. While he was there, God opened a door of opportunty for him, not in Troaz but in Macedonia. Had Paul not been free, he would have stayed in Troaz, but because he was free, he went to Macedonia. Paul spread the fragrance of of the knowledge of Christ Jesus to the Macedonians. We too are freed to be the aroma of Jesus among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the perishing we are the smell of death. To those being saved, we are the fragrance of life. If we are not freed, then we too are perishing and Jesus is the smell of death to us. If we are free, then we are being saved and Jesus is the aroma of life to us. To Be Continued! May God's Blessing of life be upon and in each of you today, In His Love, Vic.

A Tuesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Greetings Everyone! We appreciate your responses and comments very much.

"Loving Father, glorious God, we seem to spend most of our time weathering the valleys of life, with an occasional rise to the top of the mountains. Yet some of your best works in us is in the valleys of life. You are indeed God of the mountains and the valleys, and Lord of our lives. Help us to hold on to your unfailing love, oone day at a time, to face the daily challenges especially as we walk nthrough hardship terrain seeking to serve you and to serve one anothet. Reawake our spirituality and transform us to do your will joyfully as we walk in the valleys. Enable us to stand in the valleys of life and from the mountain tops to proclaim your good news, the Gospel of our Lord. We praise you for your amazing grace and your constant love. This we pray in Jesus' precious name, Amen!"

"Am I not free?", Paul asked in 1 Cor 9:1. And we too can ask, "Are we not free?" What does it mean to be free? Freedom is defined as: "not bound or constrained, not affected by given conditions, set at liberty, voluntary without restraint, without cost, exempt, and without ccharge". So Paul was saying he was no longer affected by the conditions in his life, and he was free or set at liberty from those conditions. We, when we are in Christ Jesus, can say the same thing also. What are some of these conditions? We will search the scripture to seek out the answers to this question. To Be Continued! May heaven's blessings rest upon each of you today. God Bless, Vic.

A Monday Morning Prayer and Message!

Monday, October 11, 2010

Gooooooooood Morning Everyone! It's a new week and the start of a new series of lessons.

"Heavenly Father, eternal God, you challenge us daily to go out and do what is right. We know what is right, but it is difficult to carry out sometimes because evil is crouched at our front door. And doing what is right is not always popular, nor does it make us feel good, nor leaves us with a satisfied feeling. But doing what is right does accomplish one thing...it sets us free. May our actions therefore be guided by your Word and Spirit. May we trust in you and in your Word. May we hold fast to the Lord our God and follow his example. May your presence in our life make it easier to do what is right. This we pray in Jesus' nmae, Amen!"

In 1 Cor 9:1, Paul asked a most important question: "Am I not free?" This question is obviously a rhetorical question, because the answer is "YES"! It is therefoe a challenge for us to consider consider this question personally. Can we not also ask, "Are we not free?" What are we free from and what are we free to? Is freedom something that is a right we can decide for ourselves, or is it a gift from God, or is it both? What does it mean to be truly free? These are some of the questions we will be discussing in the new series of lessons. May God bless each of us with understanding and knowledge as we enter this study. God bless, Vic.
