A Wednesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Wednesday, October 06, 2010

Goooooooooooooooooood Morning Everyone! Thanks again for your response and comments to yesterday's prayer and message!

"Heavenly Father, we rejoice and are glad and give you glory for the church, your kingdom here on earth. For the wedding of the Lamb is coming and the bride, the Church, has made herself ready. The invitations have been sent and received, and all preparations have been made for the feast. Let us therefore rejoice and give praise to You for our future. We wait anxiously for the return of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. As we worship you now, we thank you that one day we will worship you face-to-face for all eternity. Teach us to express our love and gratitude in worship and obedience for all that You have done for us, for all that you are doing for us now, and for all that is yet to come. This we pray with cheerful hearts in Jesus' name, Amen!"

As we continue to look at man''s part in the Gift of God's salavtion, many are going to hear words like these from Jesus, "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honored me with their lips, but the hearts are far from me. But in vain do they worship me, teaching the commandments of men" (Matt 15:8-9). The Hebrew writer admonishes us in Heb 10:25, not to forsake the assembly of ourselves (the Church), as the manner of some, but rather let's exhort one another as the day approaches for the saints to assemble to worship our God in Spirit and in Truth. God has done his part in providing salvation to you and me, and now let us honor that gift and our God with our love and obedience through faith in out Lord Jesus Christ. May the heavens pour out it's blessings on each of you today. In His love, Vic.

A Tuesday Morning Prayer and Message!

Tuesday, October 05, 2010

Greetings Everyone! Thank you for all your comments on yesterday's Prayer and Message.

"Loving Father, how grateful we are that any prayer we make, no matter when or where, rises always up to you in heaven and you hear every prayer. Even the quiestest prayer of our hearts born out of faith are as important as our loudestest prayers of feverncy. Like the smoke of incense that rises before you, our prayers carried by angels are delivered to you. Thank you Father for hearing and answering all our prayers. We are blessed indeed to have the God of all creation as the center of our lives. May we bring praises, glory and honor to you as we kneel before you each prayer with love and gratitude in our hearts. This we pray in Jesus' precious name, Amen!"

What other part does man have in slavation? Some say, "The church doesn't save; Christ saves!" So they conclude there is no need to be a member of the Lord's church. Acts 2:47 reminds us the Lord added to the church those who were being saved. The church dooes not save, but those in the church are saved. If we are not in the church, what is our condition? Are we not lost? Yet some say, "Well, I'm saved, but I do not attend worship nor have anything to do with the church". Again I ask, "What is your condition"? Jesus purchased the church (His body of believers) with his own blood (Acts 20:28). To Be Continued! May each of you be blessed to today with God's truth.
In His Love, Vic.

A Monday Morning Prayer and Message!

Monday, October 04, 2010

"Heavenly Father, we begin this new day with a prayer of thanksgiving. We are in deed thankful that you hear our prayers and see our hearts; that you know our needs and graciously provide for our every care; that you see our foolishness and grant us mercy and forgiveness. We are indeed blessed, for when you see us and hear us, you see and hear the righteousness of Jesus in us, and not our sins. You hear our cries and you answer us with your love and grace. You create in us faith and hope through your word, and you equip us to be fruitful and faithful. Help us to trust in you more fully and to look to your word for guidance. This we pray and ask in Jesus' name, Amen!"

Once we have oberyed from the heart, what Jesus has commanded us to do in order to be saved, what else is there to do? What about being fruitful, faithful and persevering? Matt 10:22 promises us that if we will endure to the end, we will be saved. Matt 7:16-20 tells us that Christians are known by their fuit, and those that do not bear fruit will hewn down and cast into the fire. Read Matt 25:14-30, The Parable of the Talents. Rev 2:10 instructs us to be faithful unto death, and Jesus will give us a crown of life. Now, that's something to think about! God bless, Vic.

A Saturdsay Morning Prayer!

Saturday, October 02, 2010

Heavenly Father, how grateful we are that our rigtheousness comes not because we have done everything perfectly, but because You have done everything perfectly for us. We are blessed because of your rigtheousness and Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Help us therefore to confess our sins not only to You, but also to each other, for we are imperfect and we need to share your righteousness with others so that healing can come to us all. Thank You for making our prayers powerful and effective. This we pray in Jesus' precious name, Amen!
God Bless Everyone, Vic.

A Friday Morning Prayer and Message!

Friday, October 01, 2010

Goooooooooood Morning Everyone! Thanks again to all who responded to yesterday's prayer and message.

"Loving Father, thou art in deed Holy, Righteous and Just, and you are our God. You are the Creator of things in Heaven and on Earth. You are worthy of all praise, glory and honor. If any brother or sister in Christ lacks wisdom, let them ask you, for you give generously to all without finding fault. Grant us wisdom today, your wisdom, for true wisdom comes only from You through your Word. We thank you for your word that promises this wisdom, if we ask...and we do ask today for your wisdom. Help us to be wise once we recive your wisdom: wise in its use and wise in its application. Enable us through your wisdom to know what to do and what not to do in everyn given situation. Bless us noow with your Word and Wisdom. This we ask in Jesus' name, Amen!"

We have seen man's part in salvation: hearing the Word of God; believing in Jesus Christ; repenting from our sins; confessing Jesus as Lord; obeying the Gospel of our Lord; and being baptized which enable us to put on Christ and be saved. But what about maintaining that staus? There are those who say "Once saved, always saved". But that is not what the Bible teaches. Is it possible to fall from grace? Heb 2:1 warns us to give the more careful attention to the things we have heard, less at anytime we should slip and drift away. 1 Peter 2:10 teaches us to give diligence to make our calling and election sure by doing the things Jesus teaches us through His word. If we do them, we will never fall; but if we do not do them, then we shall surely fall. To Be Continued Monday! Have a GREAT WEEKEND and may God pour out His blessings upon you. In His Love, Vic.

So true, we need to walk the walk daily and not be swayed by world's ways, which can be very subtle. The Lord can come back at any moment, we need to be awake and watching and serving Him to our fullest.
