A Friday Morning Prayer!

Merciful and Loving Father, we know that there are people out there that are waiting to hear the good news concerning eternal life and living life now. Use us to bring the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to them. Let us pray for them; let us pray that the message of salvation may spread rapidly; let us pray that the good news may be honored by them as it was honored by us. Just as you have used others powerfully in our lives, equip us with the right words at the right time so those who hear and believe and whose hearts are ready may be drawn to Jesus. We pray for both men and women who are ready to hear and obey the good news. We pray that their hearts will be open to receive all that you have for them. This we ask in Jesus' name, Amen! May all be blessed this day with the Good News; God bless, Vic.

A Thursday Morning Message!

Aloha Everyone! Thusfar, we have seen what the Bible says about man's part in salvation, concerning Hearing, Believing and Repentance. Now let's look at man's part in Obedience to God's Word.

In order to be forgiven, we must follow through on our repentance by doing what God says. May people agree with everything up to this point but fail to do what God says. Let's note what the Bible has to say:
1. Heb 5:9 - Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to all who OBEY Him.
2. Rom 6:17-18 - When we OBEY from the heart the teaching delivered (The Gospel of Christ), we are made free from sin.
3. 1 Pet 1:22 - We purify our souls in OBEYING the truth, and God's word is truth (John 17:17).
4. Acts 10:34-35 - Whoever fears (Respeccts) God and works (Does, Obey) righteousness, is accepted by Him.
It is simply not true that nothing man does is necessary to salvation. We'll look at some more passages tomorrow. To be continued! May the blessings of heaven be upon each of you today, Vic.

Merciful and Loving Father, God of this universe, our God, show us how to do your will. Teach us to know your will, to be joyful always, to pray constantly, to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is your will for us in Christ Jesus. Enable us to always do your will in this regard, even when we do not see answers to our prayers as we would like. Help us to grow in the knowledge and application of your will in our lives, no matter what is going on in our lives. We know and understand that you are greater than anything we can face in this life. We praise you; we praise your holy name! This we pray and ask this morning in Jesus' precious name, Amen! Greetings Everyone! Yesterday we looked at man's part in repentance. Let's continue to see what else the Bible has to say:

Jesus said in Luke 13:3 and 5, that unless we repent we shall all likewise perish. Repentance is necessary for salvation, and it's man's responsibility to repent or reap God's wrath. Luke 24:47 tellls us that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in Jesus' name to all nations. Why? Acts 17:30 tells us that at one time God winked at man's ignorance, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. Acts 3:19 instructs us to repent and be converted that our sins may be blotted out. Acts 5:31 tells us that God has exhalted Jesus to be a Prince and Savior to give forgiveness to us. 2 Peter 3:9 reminds us that God is not slack concerning his promises, but is long-suffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The bottom-line is that unless we repent we shall perish. That's something to think about! May God bless each of you as yopu repent and turn to him for forgiveness, Vic.

Gracious and Loving Father, teach us to pray for people you bring into our lives and fill us with your love and understanding and the knowledge of your will through all wisdom. Fill them also with your love, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of your will for them. Guide them even as you guide and direct us in the way and path of righteousness. Enable all of us the hear your voice and turn to you so that we may all know you better. Let us all draw nearer to you through the salvation that comes only from Jesus Christ our Lord. Let us bow in worship to him and do His will so that we may all see the glory of our Creator. This we pray in Jesus' name, Amen! May God blesss each of you today, Vic.
