A Thursday Morning Thouht!

Thursday, June 24, 2010

Be Faithful! Some say there are three stages in faith: 1. As a dependent child, who accepts everything and expects everything; 2. As a rebellious adolecent, who wants to be god; and 3. As a responsible parent, who faces the complexities of commitment. Notice that each stage calls for a letting go and reaching out for our God. Love is the answer to every stage of faith (1 John). God supports us by his love as wobbly children, as rebellious teens, and as maturing believers. Faithfulness can only be reached in Christ Jesus. Paul wrote in Rom 5:2, "Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand". Be Faithful and Stand in Chrsit Jesus! May God Bless Everyone, Vic.

A Wednesday Morning Prayer!

Wednesday, June 23, 2010

Heavenly Father, we praise you for you give us songs in the day and in the night.
When we seek you, you fill our hearts with songs, hymns and psalms, day and night; songs that delight the heart and soul and mind; songs that bring joy and gladness to our very bones; songs that drive darkness and burdensome cares away; songs that remind us how GREAT THOU ART! We pray that we lift up our voices in songs of praise to You, always and forever. You are the words and the music; you are the song that we sing; You are the melody; You are the harmony; praise to your name we will bring. Enable us to rejoice daily with songs from the heart. This we pray in Jesus' nmae, Amen. May God Bless Everyone, Vic.

A Tuesday Morning Thought!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

As a young boy, I remember marching to "Onward Christian Soldier". I loved the thrill! But I don't see that happening to other children now. What ever happen to that spirit? Doesn't God call us all to be "MIGHTY WARRIORS"? Are we not in a spiritual war with our lives at stake? Sinful desires war against our soul daily (1 Pet 2:11).. What are we doing about it? Are we consorting with the enemies? Have we sold our souls for a moment of pleasure?
Are we not warned in Eph 6:10-20 to put on the whole armor of God? Soldiers of Christ arise and put your armoor on. God will supply the strength we need and has promised us the victory in Christ Jesus. Be strong and courages! May God Bless Everyone, Vic.

Amen Brother, The Bible says to Fight the good fight of faith. Satan is always trying to find the holes in our armor, always trying to chip away at our faith. Stand up for the Lord and do what is right and holy. Our God is our victory, so we can be victorious through His power. emoticon

It's so true, Vic, so very true! Christians often forget, in the ease of our lives in America, that we are in a war. I live a very sheltered life, having worked for 15 years at the church & now being at home again. My time is spent with family and my best friend outside my family is our pastor! I feel the warfare when I step outside this little, comfortable, quiet life I lead and it's so uncomfortable. I yearn for the day when Jesus Christ reigns on earth and Satan is bound. What a day that shall be!!!

One at a time we must all rise up. Others will not if there is not a leader! Rise up!

A Monday Morning Prayer!

Monday, June 21, 2010

Heavenly Father, we look at ourselves and ask, "What are we that you make so much of us, that you give us so much attention?" Father, it's hard to comprehend the depth of your Love for us, and to know why you care for us, every detail of our lives. We are grateful in knowing our God is with us. We are grateful that in difficult times You are with us, walking right beside us all the way, just as you promised you would, all the way through to the other side of pain and trouble. Forgive us when we blame you for bad things that happen in our life. Thank you for working things out for our good. We give you all praise, glory and honor. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen! May God Bless Everyone, Vic.

A Sunday Morning Prayer!

Sunday, June 20, 2010

Gracious and Loving Father, we honor you today as our God and our Father. You care for us as a Father should, providing and meeting all our needs; protecting us from all harm and danger; you guide us in our daily walk; You pick us up when we fall; You carry us when we are unable to walk; You light the way for us with your word; You set the path for us to follow; and You reward us with the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and Eternal Life. And you do this everyday. Teach us to be like you! We praise you! We give You all glory and Honor! Thank You Father for loving us so very much. This we pray this morning in the name of Jesus our Lord, Amen! May our God bless everyone today and forever more, Vic.

Thankyou for expressing so eloquently what I feel deep in my heart for a loving God the Father. Sometimes I am so overwhelmed with love and gratitude that I can barely find words. That is why you have this ministry, and I don't! LOL. Thankyou for doing what God has called you to do!To God be the glory! emoticon
