I've always tried to find out exactly how to lose weight, that is what's the formula, etc. I know that it's a long term life style change, but I think that my always wanting everything in a neat little package has been my downfall. Also, I've always wanted guarantees. For example, eating these many calories plus doing these exercises will guarantee 2 pounds of weight lost per week. Well, this plateau has been a wake-up call. Actually, its not a plateau anymore, since I've lost 1.5 pounds this week. The main thing that I've learned is; to be flexible. There is no one solution. If you can't get to the gym, walk around the mall. I someone keeps you waiting, march in place. If you can't get bottled water, drink weak tea. I'm just using crazy examples, but what I mean to say is; just be flexible. I think that I have been on 15 different diets since I've been on SparkPeople, and they were all healthy and all within the nutritional guidelines, Why was I trying to stick to such a perfect formula? I've finally got it, just keep at it, and be flexible!
