My Three Month Sparkversary!

With all of my ups, downs, setbacks and everything else, I didn't realize that it's been three months since I joined Spark People! What a ride. I also realized that I've never stayed with any plan this long, especially with such a long plateau. there's a saying, "I'm not what I want to be, but Thank God, I'm not what it used to be" emoticon

Yesterday I was so discouraged because I'm not losing weight every week. I am so tired of this long plateau. Never did I consider giving up, though. I listened to a very good weight loss meditation CD and it really helped me. I had a very good day today. I stayed within my calorie range, and with over two hours of exercise, I have over 1200 calories left, but I don't want them!
I've made up my mind that no matter how many pounds of weigh I lose each week, I am not going to give up. I will have good days and bad days. Today was a good day!

I have written so many times about how I love spark People and how I'm not giving up, no matter what. I write this so often because I really need to hear it myself. This is the first time that I've ever cut calories so well (within dietary amounts of course), and exercised so regularly and stayed at a plateau so long. I hate this! I've lowered the salt, increased the water, sleep 8 hours, etc,etc, but the scale won't move! I'm tired!

I just watched a Spark video, and boy did I learn something! I thought that to lose weight, I had to exercise 30 minutes per day. The video stated that this was just to maintain! To lose weight, one must exercise 60-90 minutes per day! I've got to get going! And, yes, I do park far away, take stairs, and rarely sit down (unless I'm doing arm exercises), I even march in place while I'm cleaning or standing in any line, but I think I need to step it up to see better results! I've been exercising every day, skipping salt, drinking water, cutting calories, etc., but I'm still on a long, long, plateau that I've got to break!

I got up this morning, ready to log in but my internet wasn't working. so I got to work. I sorted, cleaned, rearranged my house, all while dancing in between. I had the dance station on for more motivation. I ate a little more than I had planned to, but I'm sure that I burned it up! Not being able to sit and surf Spark People helped me to get my activity in early. emoticon
