Heading in the right direction

Friday, February 28, 2014

I'm finally going down instead of up. I just have to keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing, keep up with the exercise a watch what I eat. My goal right now is to get down to 165. After I get there I'll work on getting a bit farther down to a healthy weight.

Still going backwards

Saturday, February 22, 2014

Been busy taking care of my renter due to cataract surgery. Haven't been doing the exercise or counting the calories like I should be doing. Not getting out and doing the line dancing as often because they've cut back on how many times a week we're dancing. Now that it's warming up again I can get back to my walking and maybe start bike riding. I want to go forward with the weight loss not backwards like I seem to be continually doing lately.

msmaslin and imustlose it I love both your ideas. I've actually been working on getting me time in along with my quilting time. I also did a bit of dancing tonite at a friends house while listening to their band play.

You can do this. Maybe you can pick a time of day, say 1pm and tell everyone you have an appointment for at least an hour at that time everyday. When they ask, say "id tell ya but then id have to kill you" and leave it at that. That is your exercise, tracking and relaxing time. Go for it!

Been trying, but sometimes he's a big baby lol. Now that the biggest part is over and just need to put in his eye drops i'm going to be some me stuff. If it's warm like yesterday I have plans of walking at least a mile, if not farther.

Snow is gone finally

Friday, February 14, 2014

Will be great to get outside and do things again. Need to wait until the ground gets a little bit firmer. We are now having rain so hopefully no flooding. This has been a crazy winter and hard to get outside to do anything. I am heading in the right direction weight wise again, so that part is good anyway.

I'm out, so far no flooding, but the ground is pretty soft. Yes the southern areas the seldom if ever get snow got hit good, the northern areas like Alaska and Russia have been having heat waves.

This winter has been insane, even in Dallas. I hope no flooding and you get out soon!

Thank you. Where I'm at on the hill we might get really mushy ground, which helps. Downtown is where the flooding will mainly helping with the snow melt and the rain combined. The farmers should be happy this year at least.

I'm getting really tired of the snow, ice and cold. Makes joints hurt and harder for me to do the things I need to do for weight loss. Seems I'm going in the wrong direction weight wise again. Will have to work harder and find indoor things I can do and then make myself do them.

I won some exercise dvd's on the spark wheel. I just got them in the mail one is cardio and the other is firm and tone. Will be checking them out and getting some workouts done indoors.

When I started just a couple weeks ago, I started by just walking in place 10 min, and then found the 11 min seated cardio workout video right here, and now I try to do both 2 times a day. We will see if it works. If not at least I feel better.

Well, a couple more inches of snow this morning, it was very fluffy so easy to scoop out the bunks doing chores this morning. the sheep and horses don't like to eat snow. Yes, winter is a little depressing, I have been doing the 11 min seated cardio workout and that has help with my mood. And that is what I,m going to do right now. Everyone have a great day, and think of one thing you are thankful for. Mine is a loving husband, what's yours.

Winter and cold for such a long time brings about depression. Pure and simple. It is SO hard to fight. I know people who don't have weight struggles find other areas of their lives more unbearable at this time. It affects everyone. Just hang onto the hope that winter's back will break eventually, and you will feel invigorated and energized. Hang tight.

I'm still doing the line dancing and chair aerobics, however both of those have gone to just now and then due to weather and illnesses of the teachers. Not enough room in my house for the line dance, and chair aerobics I try but no one to join me which makes it more fun to do.

I know what you mean, it take all summer to lose a few lbs. and then winter come and put your exercise program in the trash. Haven't found a new winter program yet, and it has to be a in home activity, not gym in area.

Fun summer

Saturday, August 03, 2013

I've been enjoying myself so much with the kayaking, line dancing, quilting and just relaxing that I didn't even realize I was toning up and even losing a bit weekly. I haven't had this much summertime fun since I lost my hubby. I'm glad I met these ladies that are teaching me so many new things to enjoy.
