So I was thinking about my triggers this morning, what causes me to eat. Boredom is definitely one. I am on maternity leave right now and at times, I get hungry for no other reason than I'm a little bored. I read someone say that I should drink water when that happens, to make sure that it's real hunger. I'll give that one a try.
My other trigger in the Food Network lol! I started watching shows on that channel while on mat leave (just letting it run in the background), and it makes me HUNGRY! I think that most of my post-baby weight gain is linked to the Food Network lol. I better keep that water bottle handy if I want to keep watching that channel. On the bright side, I think it has made me a better cook. I hated cooking before, and now, with some of the recipes and tricks learned on the Food Network, I actually am starting to enjoy it. So that's a good thing. I just need to make sure that watching a show doesn't make me run to the pantry ;)
