Bored, Injured, and ready to Pig Out!

Sunday, May 12, 2013

I got on a plane to fly down and visit my family. On the first day my mother and I decided to take the dogs for a walk. The BOOM! emoticon I was down. I Sprained my ankle before I even made it out of the drive way. That means a eating and no exercise. I can finally get around, though it's still a little painful, and I managed to go swimming for about 5 1/2 hours today. No sprained ankle is going to stop me from getting in that pool, but to be safe i were an ankle brace in the pool. I have been with my family for a week and Ive had more fast-food emoticon than I have had in the past five months. If it wasn't for the pool I probable would have packed on ten pounds by now. However, I don't plan on weighing myself while I'm here on vacation. I did so before and will do again after. Now that I am able to finally move around some, food will likely move from thought. So here is to a less food more fun vacation and may everyone else find food far from thought emoticon

Good Bye Carbs

Thursday, March 07, 2013

So I have just added gym time into my schedule today. I feel good. I have realized though by cutting out most carbs (at least breads and pastas) I have been gradually losing weight. I have had the occasional ice cream, but my new dessert is a banana with sugar free pudding and sugar free cool whip. Delicious. It seem lately that my diet consists of Activia, fruit, and Louisiana hot links with sour cream and cheese. I am hooked on the hot links. I can't wait to see what happens when I get into a regular exercise routine. I am excited. Kick some ass and execute those pounds like your life depends on it. Good Luck, happy March!

Smooth Criminal!

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

The Wii is definitely a fun way to workout. I spent over forty minutes today dancing to Michael Jackson on the Wii. Five minutes in and I was dripping. It was a fun and tiring way to get a good exercise in. After that I decided to take it down and rock out on RockBand. I was singing to some Ozzy and hopping all over my living room. Of course, I will only do this Wii activity when I have the house to myself. I already know I look ridiculous. Rock On Dude!

Oh Sweet Hobby of Mine

Sunday, January 27, 2013

Becoming more involved in your hobbies while trying to lose weight has revealed itself to be most important. When I write, paint, or do something I enjoy, I find that my cravings for foods I do not need disappear. My advice, for what it's worth, is to get wrapped up in something you enjoy. For example; my University does a student journal every year where they accept art, photography, short stories, poetry, etc. So for the past week I have been trying to get a collection of poetry together so I can pick three to turn in. I was fortunate that they accepted my piece last year called "Poseidon's Lullaby," one that meant so much to me. I hope this year goes well. I noticed that between trying to come up with something good for this journal and spark people I do not think about food as much. Spend more time cultivating your hobbies, and don't forget to have fun.

Showered by the Harry Dog

Sunday, January 27, 2013

I finally get the house to myself and what do I do? I didn't rock out out to "CrazyTrain" on RockBand, nor did I watch a movie, or any sort of fun activity. I spent the entire day playing "Betty Crocker's Kitchen." I cleaned, then baked, then cleaned, and so on. I found myself on my hands and knees scrubbing the lint out of the refrigerator, the dirt under the stove, cleaning the inner fridge door, and cleaning the microwave. I even wiped down all the condiments. Then I baked a white chocolate/chocolate pecan crust pie with sort of chocolate/hazel nut liquidy drizzle on top. It's a low sugar no carbs pie. Not too bad. Then I proceeded to wash my friends Black Lab who jumped out of the tub and showered me with water and dog hair. I worked most of the day and didn't eat too much. Sounds like a pretty successful one to me. Happy Cleaning.

Don't you feel fulfilled after a day of this type of cleaning, even though no one would ever notice it. Good for you. I have 2 springer spaniels that need baths.
