Had a great weekend with Dssecrets. It was like being on vacation yet we were close to home.

I've got some busy times with errands, cooking and such at home this week but I'm ready for them. It's all about pacing yourself.

I'll be interested to see where my weight goes this week. I'm in my goal window and am working the revised plan now. It's all about the journey and I'm excited.

One last trivial note...I keep hearing Southern Cross as done by Jimmy Buffett. I heard it live when he opened the 2011 Tour in Tampa. I loved it by CSN,&Y and because Jimmy loves the ocean, I love when he does it now. Great song!

Building a New Burn!

I'm starting to slow down my gain as I am moving up to my 170 target weight. I had gone down to 159.5 while in the hospital. At 6 ft., I want to keep that 34 inch waist! Now it's a matter of building muscle. I need to learn that and maintaining a solid daily calorie intake. I know it will be a process but I will do it.

So tonight, I went through the blogs and SparkPages of "At Goal and Maintaining" Teammates! Man, what a bunch of winners! It was the best thing I could have done this evening. I read their stories of their journeys to this point and it was real! I felt so good for all of them. It inspired me and sparked me into this next level. I am humbled to be among them. I always tell SP members to get involved in these communities. Do it all. You become wiser and stronger in the process. But I have to thank all the AG&M Team for giving me the flame going into this new part of the journey. I am so ready to rock!

X-Men, Fat Fish, and ST!

Got up this morning and went to my regular cafe to see friends and have breakfast. Ended up going to a noon movie to see X-Men with one of them. Found out he was a movie freak so I guess we'll be doing flicks from time to time. Cool. You know you gotta have friends.

D and I went to dinner at a seafood place we wanted to try. We're so lucky to have fresh fish down here on the Gulf. After I had logged my food, I found that catfish had way too much fat content. Don't need that. I checked out a table online that showed exactly that. Lowest in fat? 1 to 4 grams...
Cod, Flounder, Haddock, Halibut, Pike, Rainbow Trout, Red Snapper, Rockfish, Smelt, and Tuna. Highest on the table was Mackerel 18 grams! Just wanted to share.

Got home after dinner, took a break then knocked out my new strength training I put together. I'm really happy with it as I do it 3 days a week and it's overall body. We'll see how it goes. I'm always ready to tweek the plan if needed.

It's an Errands Day

Ran around today, shopping for new pillow case covers for my new king down pillows. They are always a cool temp, much firmer, and good for side sleepers. I need a good night's sleep. I also had to replace a pool chaise pillow. Yes, life is tough. I also stopped at Sears to inquire about a possible repair on my car. ..$265 I went to my local auto shop . ..$65! Sweet!


I had stopped earlier at Autozone to get replacement headlight and fog light bulbs. They installed them for nada! Sears wanted $25. Came home, comfort dinner was pizza, then we did our walk. My pace was better and I liked that. Oh, I'm up to 166.2 now. I'm going to have to pay attention to change. The shower was good and I'm relaxing for the evening! Have a peaceful night!

A Lil More Listening, A Lil More Patience!

Had my followup with my Dr. today. This was the first since I left the hospital. Basically, he said be careful but do I wanted to do cardio and strength training wise. I advised him of my plan and he was cool. I still need assistance and will call back concerning a nutritional plan that will supplement building a little muscle. I do not want to add fat weight. All I have to do though is "listen" to my body! I believe that I was a bit too aggressive in losing that much weight since the end of January. I was hitting the cardio and my body reacted to it big time. To complicate things, I was having a hard time hitting the low end of my calorie window. Live and learn. I'm taking it moderately now and just trying to be safe about it all. I can do this. Out.
