Its very easy to fall off the wagon and slip back into bad habits. This week I will concentrate on ridding myself of just one bad habit. Next week, one more, and so on. This week, not drinking enough water.

Why Why Why?

Today's SparkCoach program asked us to figure out why I wanted to lose weight and get back in shape. Several reasons come to mind. In no particular order they are:
-so my clothes fit again
-so I feel comfortable in a bathing suit again
-so I have more energy and flexibility to better enjoy an active lifestyle
-to be healthy and stay healthy far into the future
-to feel sexy and confident
I think that'll do.

Snacks Galore

I've recently started using SparkCoach, which has been great at inspiring me and providing great ideas to remind me to stay fit and healthy.
Today's program was about snacks and it suggested making a list of healthy snacks and keeping it on the fridge. Preparing and portioning snacks once a week so they are ready to take to work, school, etc is an good way to avoid the evil (though sometimes delicious) vending machine.

Here's my list of snacks:
-almonds
-greek yogurt
-berries
-hard boiled eggs
-baby carrots
-grape tomatoes
-kale chips
-popcorn (did you know it's a whole grain?)
-roasted pumpkin seeds
-edamame
-walnuts
-olives
-Laughing Cow cheese
-Babybel cheese
-Granny Smith apple with peanut butter
-Triscuit and cheddar

Do you have any favorite healthy snack suggestions? I'm always on the lookout for tasty food!!

    EWL978: Anytime! I Really enjoy snacking, especially when I am sitting down to work, which is pretty much all day!! So I have to really try to eat super healthy snacks otherwise I'm toast! :-)

    HOUNDLOVER1--I've never actually tried almond butter, but I hear it's delicious. I'll give it a try. I a BIG cheese lover too--have you ever tried Blue Brie?

    I've eliminated all grains and legumes (peanuts, soy, peas, beans, lentils) from my diet so use almond butter instead of peanut butter and also eat a lot of high-fat cheeses like brie.
