Nope..... not going to do that. I'm not waiting until next week to begin my renewed healthy life style resolutions, etc. It begins today. It's a nice sunny morning and I am energized to get out there in the coolness of the day and walk.... run.... My hibernation is over for the holidays. 5.5 pounds later...I must admit this was the worst indulgence of holiday foods and lack of physical exercise since joining SP in 2008. Just didn't seem to care getting caught up eating with the best of them...all the goodies and junk people brought to work, homes I visited, gifts from friends and neighbors..... yes....bring it all...let me try it...yummy.... who cares...we're ALL eating it...why not me too! Eggnog??? Homemade?? Oh yes, that too and if that wasn't enough, how about that hot spiced wine and chocolates from Europe.... oh... pamper me.... tis the season! ugh..... let's fast forward!
For Christmas, I got new workout pants and top, a new yoga mat....bigger, better
padding, and a balance board. From cluttered Christmas wrapping and bows to workout area..... I am psyched today. As for all those edible goodies...they are GONE...gone I tell you.... devoured and digested.... My new year, my new life begins today - not next week.

As I was cleaning out my china cabinet today, I ran into a pretty box filled with folded notes. I knew right away what they were although had completely forgotten them as they were stashed away.
The folded notes are little ideas such as "Try a new SP recipe today", "walk an extra mile", "clean one closet out in your house this week", "call a long time friend you haven't heard from", etc....... I remember how excited I was to make those notes and at pulling one out to read. Well, With renewed enthusiasm, I started again today. My note asks that I eat no meat of any kind only fruits and veggies this coming week. New ones I've never tried. Tonight I purchased spaghetti squash, UTubed best cooking and oh my god it was delicious and filling and only 40 cals per cup. I'm extremely excited - not just to try new veggies but just to see how much weight I'll lose at weigh in next Saturday. Woohoo to greens...well and of course all other colors veggies bless us with. :)

It's all about 2 steps forward, one step back. I'm very happy with my accomplishments and no longer beat myself up with a couple pounds of weight gain. I've decided anything less than a 4 pound gain is nothing to panic about. I step it up in my cardio, step it down in my caloric intake and lose not only the 4 but an additional 2 or 3. I know in my heart of hearts I'll never allow myself to be where I came from. I'll make it to the 150. Been very close and got side tracked with trips and conferences and regained 3.5 pounds. SOOOOOO easy to do but as of today..... it's another 2 steps forward and the next blog will be at my ideal weight of 150 by June 1.
