Ok so I am going to set a weight goal for the end of August

I wasn't going to do it but it seems like my mind has decided this on it's own

By August 31st I want to be back to my lowest weight of 179. Thats what I weighed at the end of August last year. This morning I weighed in at 184.8 which is down over 2 lbs from the 1st already.

I also want my body fat % to be under 40%. My scale says I'm at 40.8% right now.

I think that is pretty doable don't you?

My family is coming at the end of August to help my brother move back to school. I haven't told any of them that I'm working at this again so I'd like to have them notice a difference. I saw them last in mid July.

    That definitely sounds doable but be careful setting weight goals. I try to set my goals around exercise and nutrition only because when i set a weight goal for specific time frame I don't want to get there and be completey disappointed I didn't make it there but forget the progress I did make. I am sure you can do it if you put your mind to it. Good Luck!!

Beautiful Morning with a Great Friend

I had a great morning today. I went for breakfast with a great friend I don't see that often.

It was beautiful outside and we sat on the most peaceful and beautiful patio. This restaurant does yoga some mornings on it's patio.

The only problem is that breakfast mainly consists of egg dishes which I can't eat. However they have a large list of sides so I ordered Bison Sausage, the Fruit Salad and Roasted Potatoes. Yum!

Thats not something I do often but I really enjoyed being outside and socializing again. I need to make more of an effort to be out and enjoying summer.

I'm off now to do the shred. Day 6! I've never stuck with it this long before. I did 25 minutes of No More Trouble Zones last night. Thats all I could do but I'm going to work up to it. I had done the shred in the morning and I've been pretty sore from that so once I've done my 30 days I'm going to focus on getting all the way through NMTZs. I'm going to do it twice a week though now for the rest of August.

I also got Barre 3 in the mail yesterday. I'm going to give that a try for awhile tonight to. I haven't watched it or anything yet so we'll see.

Revisiting past successes....

So I've been looking back on my blog entries from last summer when I was doing really well. Wow what a revelation. I sounded so happy and healthy!

I want to be there again. I'm only up about 5 or 6 lbs from my lowest last summer but I completely rebounded to my old habits.

I'm really glad I blogged so much last summer. It helps to reread it and get myself into that frame of mind again.

My Grandmother is my motivation

I want to be like my Grandma. My grandma has more energy then anyone I've ever known. She cannot sit still! I have never seen my grandma sit for more then 15 minutes at time.

She constantly moving!

If we're in the yard talking she'll be walking around picking weeds.

If we're in a pet store she'll run around and talk to all the animals.

If the dog is outside SHE'LL CHASE IT!!! (which once caused one of my brother's friends to say "WOW MY GRANDMA DOESN'T RUN!!"

She is the sweetest, most caring, high energy person you will meet. With the high pitched voice to match.

She's gone through a lot in her life but I still would love to be like her.

August Goals

My problem has always been consistency. I'll be great for a couple days and then I'll slip and feel awful and then fall off all together.

August is going to be a good month for me. I don't have any vacations or weekends away planned and I've figured out my allergies and don't feel stressed or too restricted by them anymore. I also don't work very many early morning shifts because they are training a new guy at my work so he's taken those shifts from me until september.

GOALS!!!
Track everyday
30 day shred every morning before work
Also some sort of activity every evening
No chips!
Win a consistency award again
Finish the first exam for my CSC course

I'm not doing lbs lost goals anymore. I'm making my goals based on the activities I need to do to lose those lbs.


The fall clothing collections are starting to come out. I need some new clothes for work to!!!

    YAY, I'm so glad you're back! Those sound like awesome goals. I should really set my own goals for activity goals and not weight loss ones. Great idea! Good luck for August, let's both kick some butt! emoticon
