Lots and lots of snow here in Nova Scotia this winter. We have been getting hit at least weekly with a storm. Today, another 10-15cm is coming down. It's been bitter cold as well.
I was out for a run on Sunday for 7 miles. It was s bit slushy and slippery but it was nice. I live in the country so wildlife is abundant and makes for a pleasant run usually. I ran today again (Tuesday) for 6 miles. A nice rolling hill run through the country side along the ocean. There is a light snow falling and the view was just amazing with the blanket of snow over the ground and trees.
I felt so blessed to be able to be out there running and enjoying it like I was.
I have started training for a half marathon in May. I am going to run it with my sister, brother and sister-in-law. I am really excited for this one, it should be a great time. There is a lot of time to get ready so I am going to train smart, have fun with it and be ready and un-injured come May. (God willing)
I found out recently my back issues aren't going away. More not so welcoming news regarding my bad back that I won't get into. Owe well, what do yah do but go on. I have adapted my workouts and added much more stretching into my routine. As well, I have been eating more organic foods and more herbal remidies related to inflamation. The show must go on I say. If it was up to the Doctors I'd be eating pills and laying on the couch but I've been down that road and its not what works for me.
The winter hasn't been kind to my belly, as my back has kept me from being as active as I normally am in winter. I have some work to do! It's ok though, I have Spark People on my side and am confident my plan and efforts will pay off.
Stay tuned...
Thanks for stopping by!
