Three things I love about myself:
1. Courageous, crafty, compassionate
Truth be told, I'm not as compassionate as many others in my family or friends. I see a difference (and it's pronounced in me) between being compassionate and being a pushover. I am fan of taking responsibility and knowing that there is going to be consequences. I USED to be a pushover, so I have grown in that degree.
2. Work on mix and match meals for the coming week or so - Doing it this way will take the angst out waiting until the last minute to plan what I am having, but also give me flexibility for when I need to switch things up.
3. Go to an event tonight after work. This will require me stepping out of my comfort zone in a big way.
I shed a couple of tears today in my office (I was by myself). It could be for many reasons, but what set me off was my boss "barking at me" for the way I was trying to fix someone else's problem. I think I am so out of practice with dealing with a tyrannical boss and even Mr. Nice guy can bum me out from time to time. For me, work lately has meant shouldering most, if not all of the burden of work in our dept, and I don't always handle criticism with ease. I am trying to brush off this little incident and move on with my day. :)
Let's make the most of it, sparkies --- about work, I feel a little cranky, but mostly I am feeling cherished. :)

When I was little, I thought "brought to you by" (as announced on tv) was one word. I used to wonder how you spelled it. Ironic, as I am actually a very good speller. :)
Three things about me: I'm friendly, funny, fair.
I love that when I thought about these things about myself, I did not immediately think of "fat."
I am fat, though, and I need to fix that.
At my last job, I used to respond to how I was doing by using a different letter every day. Not sure why, but it was fun.
So how am I feeling today? FANTASTIC!!!!
I've hit my daily goals more often than not:
1) Make some fish for dinner (with broccoli)
2) Go online to find out where I can get some foods on my plan
3) Start working on a grocery list for the wknd
Have a FINE day, sparkies!

Yesterday's goals were all met. Woo hoo!
Today's short list:
1. Walk 8500 steps
2. Make dinner for tomorrow so it's ready when I get home.
3. Three positive things about me: good problem solver, daring, great memory
I also bought some fish last night - mahi mahi and salmon - in single serve portions that can go right from freezer to table in a few mins.
I'm trying to focus on what I am doing right, and making little steps to improve everything else today.
And, I said "no" to someone today where I would have ordinarily caved and let them have their way even though I considered it wrong. Here's to standing up for myself. Woo hoo!!!
Believe in yourself. Surely we can do this together. :) Happy day, sparkies!

Yup. Had great success (lost 8 lbs) when doing my first week of BFC. Then I decided bread was more important, followed by chocolate, chocolate, and more.
Errrrrrrt. (insert sound of squealing brake).
U-turn. I am back on the program. Doing fine. Steering clear of sugar and sweets. Need to make a few more adjustments, including meal planning, buying groceries and making food at home, and getting back to walking and/or the gym.
I put on my pedometer this morning. I'll be walking over to the library in a little bit. I have some books to return. 10,000 steps would be great. I'm shooting for 8,000 for today.
Top 3 goals for today:
1) Walk 8,000 steps
2) Name 3 positive things about myself (resilient, encouraging to others, sunny attitude)
3) Stop at HMart to buy chicken (and maybe fish) after work
1 goal down! Two to go!!!
Have a beautiful day, sparkies!

One day at a time. I am all too completely aware of my shortcomings. I could rattle off a dozen in 30 seconds. Rattling off a dozen things I like about myself is more of a challenge --- but here is something that I have just caught on to ---- it is completely within my power to be who I want to be.
Here is a quote from one of my students who just graduated on why she loves me:
" I love you for many reasons - your ability to love and laugh, your kindness, and your many jokes to name a few."
I am taking those words to heart. If a 22 year old and find some wonderful qualities in me, then it should be much easier to do it myself. :)
