When I started Spark People, I set my goal weight to 170. I've always been comfortable with that weight. Well, I'm 4.6 pounds away from my original goal but crazy me just changed it today to 160. I'm thinking that I have the tools and support available that will allow me to hit my new goal. Another 10 pounds would push me out the overweight BMI category into the normal one.
How am I going to accomplish this new goal? I will finish my 5% Winter Challenge strong and sign up for the 5% Spring Challenge.
I’m way overdue for my “Where’s Lori?” blog update.
If you are a new spark friend, you should know that I’ve been walking off my weight. However, I needed a way to stay motivated, so I started a virtual walk to the Mackinac bridge (pronounced ‘Mackinaw’).
My journey began in July. I decided to take the scenic route by walking along Lake Michigan’s coastline. I stopped by my alma mater WMU and partied with some frat bro’s, did some fishing at South Haven, now I’m just heading out of…….
I had lots of fun in Traverse City by spreading some holiday cheer.
I helped out the Salvation Army by bell ringing.
I helped a family pick and cut their Christmas Tree.
They were so thankful that they offered me hot chocolate at their home. It was in my calorie range so I had a cup.
I then helped them decorate the tree. I supplied the SPARKLING tree topper.
Don’t worry, I didn’t fall. I developed good balance by doing yoga.
Well I’m off….see ya Traverse City. It’s been fun.
I’ll be spreading more holiday cheer and hope to do some downhill skiing and snowmobiling soon.
The scales finally tipped this morning and I'm out of the 180s. Hello 170s, it has been 4 years since I've seen you. I plan to stay for a little while and eventually will say goodbye to you too. I'm one determined Sparker who is going to reach her goal by the big 5-0!
Now I'm off to the gym for my big workout!
Once again...thanks to all my spark friends for keeping me motivated and inspiring me. You rock!
