Well I actually ran on the treadmill today. I made it one mile without stopping, then walked awhile and then ran another half mile. I am going to do a 5k on November 21st. It will be my first one in about 20 years. I don't like running. I could rename my blog Michelene doesn't like running! Buy hey, I'm trying something different and I'm challenging myself just like SP encourages us to do. I have roped several people at my office into doing this with me so it should be fun.
I did see the doctor today for my six week checkup. Down 7 lbs since I saw her last. My thyroid meds are not doing what they should so she increased the dosage a small amount. I hope that gives me more energy. I also hope it helps my weight loss. I have to fight so hard for every single pound that it gets tiring and frustrating at times. I have about a month left on the Wellness Challenge at my office. I'm fighting for all the improvement I can get during this next 4 to 5 weeks. Of course I'll keep on going after that, but I sure would like to be the winner of the challenge.
I'm off shortly to take a nice, long, hot bath because my hips and knees do not like me after all that running. I use the term running loosely. It was more like jogging. I thought I was going so fast and I looked over at myself in the mirror and that was distressing. It certainly didn't look that fast. You have to laugh once in a while, get over yourself, and just keep going! I added some new songs to my playlist and tried to just focus on that and enjoy the moment.
