Try this breakfast

1 whole wheat english muffin - toasted

Dice together, 1 serving low fat ham slices, 1 serving weight watchers mozzarella cheese, 1 serving tomato and season with a spice that you like. I used mediterranian sea salt. Top your muffin with this mixture.

Microwave long enough to melt the cheese.

A healthy breakfast with carbs, protein, dairy, and fruit all mixed together for less than 300 calories.

    When I find people who are successful and inspire me, I like to go back and read some of their earlier blogs since I am still in the early stages of my lifestyle change. I like to see their thoughts when they were at the same place I am now. A comment you made on another post, caused me to explore your Spark Page. I was reading yours and ran across this breakfast idea. I tried it this morning and was pleasantly surprised! I didn't have whole wheat english muffins, but I did have whole wheat mini-bagels. It was delicious! I never thought about eating tomatoes for breakfast. Thanks for sharing your journey!

Six week check up with Dr. M

I am happy to report that my six week checkup went well. I am down weight since I last saw her. She gave me a B12 shot and I'm on Vitamin D supplements. Other than that, everything checked out okay.

I shared SP with her and she was going to recommend it to another patient.

I'm getting my injured shoulder checked out and worked on in PT so I can move forward to my goal of losing some more weight and getting back into Karate.

Total weight lost since I first started tyring ....43 lbs. It feels great to not be carrying that around anymore. Journaling what I eat on SP has been eye opening. It's amazing what you put in your mouth when you don't keep track.

Also, she could tell by my labwork that I hadn't been drinking enough water. I told her that had changed due to SP too! Now I track it and want to check it off my goals everyday.

  


Week 1 - Success

I weighed in this morning for the results of my first week on SP. I lost 2.4 lbs. More than that I feel better and successful for monitoring my goals and keeping on track.

I lost 40 lbs prior to SP and had hit a plateau. I logged on last week as part of a new wellness program at my office and the structure of SP helped me break through. I like the accountability and the focus.

I did the elliptical trainer today for 35 minutes. One of my favorite songs to jam to when the hills get the hardest is "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga. That one really gets me going. Another oldie but goodie...Get the Party Started by Pink.

Load up your IPOD with some tunes that make you want to move and get on it!

Healthy Breakfast Option

My favorite thing right now.... 90 calorie cups of greek yogurt with honey. I add some sliced pink grapefruit out of the jar, and some other type of fruit. I end up getting one of my fruit servings out of the way with the start of the day.

It's a nice fresh change of pace from my egg beaters that I had been eating. emoticon
