Perhaps that rest yesterday helped your muscles today.

I love water exercise. Too bad the gym a block away doesn't have a pool. They'd get my membership for sure.

Have a restful evening.

Feedback is really helpful

So I decided I was sore, I was tired and I am not pushing myself more than the short walk I took this morning. I will be happy with what I have done but tomorrow.. either at 9 or at noon or at 12 I will be at water aerobics and walking and back to work but for today I am just watching the view.

Your body thanks you for the rest. And my eyes thank you for the beautiful view.

    That is a great picture...

You'll get back to your exercises, it's great to change up like has been said. You can do this, at least you did some exercising and that alone is great.

Have a beautiful Thanksgiving week.

You need to make sure you are getting at least one rest day in a week if not 2 to help your body heal from the exercise the rest of the days. Take the rest day at different days. Change out your exercise every week so you body doesn't get used to it and get in a rut.

Over 10,000 steps every day

Saturday, November 23, 2013

I have done my four water aerobics and walked 10,000 or more steps every day.
Now I have to admit I count what steps I get during the water aerobics so I am not posting the classes so I will not double dip on points.
I did yard work and walked and they were the times I got into the highest level of exercise .I am trying for at least 33 minutes a day.
Hubby walked with me tonight it was wonderful to be able to do some exercise together .
I am a little sore so I am wondering if I should take one day off.
But every day means every day, doesn't it?

You have to listen to your body! Do a light day
I made a mistake once and didn't listen so I was down for 2 days

Well, if you find yourself needing to rest one day, perhaps you can do extra steps over a few more days?
I don't "step" - rather I have other forms of cardio. And sometimes I do take a day off - as long as I meet my goal for the week.

Very well done. And, when your muscles are sore you can still do every day but not so intense, right?

Another week on plateau

Saturday, November 16, 2013

So every day I am doing my exercise, but my food absolutely
( explitive deleted )
I am not always posting all my food especially the chocolate chip cookies and brownies I have from the pot luck last Sunday.
Good thing is I had to take in two pairs of pants that were too expensive to just donate.
But I am going through my clothes and am going to donate some things that I just dont wear and that don't quite fit correctly.
I got a really cute sweater from eco thrift ( on greenback and san juan) but it turns out it is a plus size sweater and hubby didn't like it on me. He likes to see my new found curviness.
After 46 years of marriage this is really an incentive.
So I have a Khols discount and I will get something for Children who are on the list to get something special for Christmas for our church. I recommend doing something similar so you will be able to give back for all the blessings that are in your life.

When I had lost 70 pounds, some of her co-workers from Arizona were abuzz that my wife had apparently left her husband and had a new guy. We were at a function with some of these people, and she, having heard the rumors, introduced me as "Her sexy new husband."

SO I understand how even after a long marriage that new attention can be quite a nice thing.

    That's sweet about your hubby!
Like you, I'm doing well with exercise, but portion control and some snacking keeps me spinning my tires.
We'll get there - emoticon One step at a time!

I cannot believe

Friday, November 08, 2013

we are a week into November. I am not ready for the changes. I have been enjoying the walks in the evening and the evening water aerobic classes. I am not ready for all the events and holidays that are just over the horizon I miss all the gardening and picking of tomato and green pepper ( though I got a cup full ) instead of a basket.
So tomorrow we are going to the railroad event in Roseville, California at the Placer County Fair Grounds. We like to walk around and my older son and hubby love to look at trains.
They have been doing it for over 40 years.

What a nice tradition! My DH and I always had museum and zoo memberships to go to those in our own city, and to a couple other cities not too far away, a paid outing when our kids were little. Now I do that for my grandkids. Makes for happy memories!
Even when I go on missions to Peru, while in Lima we frequent a local park with a small zoo. I've been so many times, I should know the critters by name!
