I AM CELEBRATING

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

It has been 5 years that I have been with spark people.
There is a picture of me in 2007 and one in 2009 and both show me over 180 on my spark page picture gallery.
I have only lost 40 pounds but I am now walking and doing water aerobics regularly.
I am feeling better and I have lost 28 inches over my body.
check out my new picture and the old ones in my spark page photo gallery.
I still do not know how to get photos from my spark page gallery here to my blog. emoticon
P.S. I have absolutely no makeup on, not even lipstick.

Happy Spark-iversity. :)

You are doing great. It is not about losing fast it is about making lasting lifelong changes for better health.

Great Job and Keep Going!!!

Well, the advantage of the blog is that you aren't limited to the pix from your spark gallery - you can get them from your computer files.
I've been with Spark for 7 years - I lost 82 pounds, but then regained 40 of them, then re-lost 19, then regained 14...but I'm working them back off. I definitely eat more healthily and am more active than I was before Spark. Celebrate the victories, and don't beat yourself up over the setbacks! emoticon emoticon Shel

So here is the picture of the author.

Saturday, August 31, 2013

This my hero who can write books and talk about local history and get people excited about what is happening in the local area to make it more liveable . I get to go see him talk and encourage his sources to get some of the spotlight.

William Burg invited you to his event:
"Sacramento Renaissance" Book Signing and Talk
Thursday, September 12 at 7:00pm at Time Tested Books
If you are in the Sacramento area you are invited.

I like to brag about my sons equally

Monday, August 19, 2013

So son number one has written a book about Sacramento from the point of view of an ordinary citizen. it is due out at your local book store in the Sacramento area later this month. This is not his first book. It encompases the experiences of the normal working people instead of the very rich or famous.
I just cannot wait to explore it.

THinking

Friday, August 16, 2013

I have been exercising and eating better and I take off pounds then I have one day when I go out for chinese or vietnameese and have a normal portion but end up putting on 5 pounds which takes me a week to take off. Of course the cookies instead of dinner didn't help either.
Then I am back on my plateau. I just feel like I am not keeping my goals in sight.
I will be due for another talk with someone at the gym but I also think I need to cut down on my calories because one bad meal should not put me back so far.
This is a picture of my dad, he is 91. He is older than the car!

I feel your pain. I be on track all week ... let go over the weekend and all the weight I lost over the week is back. Ugh ... When you figure it out (without being perfect) let me know.

Your Dad looks great! So does the car! The sodium really effects me when we eat out. I've just come to expect it.

Your Dad looks great! God bless him!
The food may have cause water retention due to a lot of sodium. Usually happens to me too! Shel

stop the suffering

Wednesday, August 07, 2013

Every year millions of pounds of produce are grown tied to stakes, lashed to trellises or confined to small cages like this poor guy here. Although no official studies have been conducted it is estimated that vine crops like Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Gourds etc. account for most cases. Help end this suffering and plant your own "Free Range" veggies or purchase certified "Cage Free" produce from your local market;)

Found this on my daughter in law #1's facebook. Que Lastima!
