Shutting off voices from the past

I have done at least a hundred different food plans, diet plans, crash and crazy diets in my food history starting at 12 when the boys said I had a Fat ( chest ! I never wondered what was happening? They learned to appreciate me later but by then I had a bad self image and hated my "chest" And there was nothing "fat" about me.
So it took fifty years to start seeing myself for who I am and it has nothing to do with how I look.

I do not know how to get the pictures from the gallery to here. ( figured it out)
I believe as we loose weight we excavate old hurts... and today... I am doing pretty well on my plan... This is an old hurt that is standing in the way of a healthier me.

Check out IOWL Team and the podcasts that go along with it! Renee Stephens, Sparking and a lot of internal work has prepared me to make this my best year ever.

Not that there are not bumps on the road...had a major blow out with my 15 year old daughter just this morning. Her super power is making me angrier than a hornet's nest that has been kicked over.

I think I feel the need for a podcast coming on...

    Excavating ourselves is so HUGE!!!! I feel like I am constantly in that process, and it is HARD, but so important. Beautiful graduation pic!!!! You are a lovely lady, then, now, inside and out!!!

Not that life is perfect but it is really nice to have the flowers blooming and the birds singing. I just love to walk outside and see the beauty of nature... soon I will be complaining about the heat but for the next couple months ... is my kind of weather.

Golly this is a great picture of a hummer... just love hummers..

I don't know what I am going to say today.
Spent the whole day cleaning up the house.. then I talked with a friend for two hours because she has moved away and we were catching up.... Now I get to go to church and explain why I slept through the mini retreat I was supposed to attend today.. I was so tired, I set my alarm but left my phone ( the alarm is on my phone) in the car... lost my keys .. not my favorite day..
why me?

Computer is very slow
wand I am very frustrated with it. I
Tomorrow I am going to start going to the gym and taking the 8 am class.
My friends will be there Joanne, Phyllis and Marilyn.
They will be there exercising and I will join them for the hour.
I will get to work right on time.
I just wish I could move faster than I do so I could finish up 10 minutes sooner.
I need to watch for things that I am able to do earlier before the last minute rush.
Time for my shower and off to work .... then I may go and walk at the park.

didn't swim but walked for 20 minutes before work and on the treadmill for 1.5 hour .

New Job, New Life? Seeking consistency

I do not have a diagnosis of diabetes but with my family history, I am concerned.
I have lost 34 pounds with spark people but have been on plateau for 2.5 years.
I have taken a job that is 1 mile from the gym that my good friends take water aerobics classes and meeting them there will help me get there.
The weather was quite cold and I do not have a wet suit but I am going to try attending anyway... ;I just do not want to get sick.
I want to get to the goal set by my doctor of 166. Just loosing inches is fine but I must take off that last 20 pounds. most of this is whining.
My question is how do I get myself into the habit of eating at the right times.
I often skip breakfast and lunch and don't start meals until I get home from work at 2.
This is setting me up to be very hungry... I am not hungry in the morning some days I force myself to have a yogurt and fruit.
But I am not consistent. I know that is the secret.

    Have you tried raw fruit and veggie smoothies? That works for me in the mornings when I don't feel like eating, and ups my freggie count!
