It will be a crabby Christmas Eve

Friday, December 21, 2012

Well the menu on Christmas Eve just changed again.
First Son is making pie with home grown pumpkins
Last son is bringing crab and maybe some veggies from the Farmer's Market at Fisherman's Wharf on Saturday.
I will bring olives, deviled eggs, celery, carrots etc with tofu veggie dip and lupini.
I will also try to make seven layered cookies and lemon bars.
I was going to add a picture but I cannot get the picture thing to work anymore..
I did something to my computer and who knows what and now it is not working properly.
But I will bring it to Dinner and get someone to fix the phone array.

HAHA, oh I just get it. I am like these things don't sound like reasons to be crabby. Everything sound delish. THERE IS CRAB on the menu. Silly me. Sounds so delish. I love crab. I have decided I am just going to have a Panda Bowl from Panda Express for Christmas Eve before we go to midnight mass. I will make some of my own brown rice for my mom and I and just have the vegiges and maybe garlic chicken or broccoli beef.

Mmm, deviled eggs. I love those things. So good.

Happy Crabby Christmas Eve. *giggle*

Walked at the mall 1

Thursday, December 20, 2012

I am walking at the mall with two people.. We walk about 3 miles in an hour and try to have a good pace without knocking down the people with walkers and who obviously are having walking challenges. We are having so much fun we forget we are walking. Most of the time if the mall is open when we finish .... we get to do some christmas shopping early... Got to get to sears....on Saturday after our walk...I just love their sales... Keep up the real spirt though. emoticon

I used to work near a mall that was specifically set up to have mall walking clubs. I used to walk there when it was raining. It really is a lot of fun. I hope you are enjoying the Christmas season.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

It snuck up on me again

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

Christmas has snuck up on me again. I got the cards written and sent off..
Checks to the nieces and nephews and granddaughter.
All set to meet at #1 son's house for Christmas Eve.
We have always had a tradition of having a Chinese food Christmas Eve.
I used to work in food services and always worked all holidays so I would come home from work and my hubby and sons would have the house all clean and I would pick up the most expensive chinese for how ever many guests we had. We would open the presents ( except for the ones Santa would bring in the morning when my sons were smaller... Then I would be off to work.
on Christmas Day. Not much time for Teaching children about the real meaning of Christmas.
I often felt like I was a character in A Christmas Carol.
But we are going to have turkey and the trimmings and the family together.
On Christmas Day we will be visiting the religious house of each's preference.
And being thankful we have a day to remember harder times and grateful things are easier.

I have heard a lot of people have Chinese for either Christmas Eve or day. I think it is kind of a cute idea. And boy is it good. Hmm, I might suggest that for our Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is Roast Duck Day. :)

Sounds like a real pleasant Christmas holiday planned.
