She is going back to Texas

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

It was so much fun to have a grandchild. I really got a chance to spoil her rotten..
She was on the computer every day until 1 am and only woke up at noon..
But we went to the fair and 6 flags and Old Sacramento and took the train and
San Francisco and a bookstore where I got her 70 dollars worth of books then shipped them to Texas... I really like her... Very grateful ...

Day with family

Thursday, July 19, 2012

Wish I took pictures but my sister and her husband and my nephew made our day so special yesterday. My camera is my phone and the process is so complicated and has so many steps, i miss more pictures than I take.
We had a wonderful day of swimming and kicking back.
I am so grateful that I got a chance to experience it.

State Fair Day

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

I had a great time at the state fair and only ate one corn dog all day!
Not that much walking because it was spread out over so many hours.
We would walk for 10 minutes then stop. Then we'd stand in line..
My grand daughter was in love with the hypnotist at the fair.
She got called up to the stage and had a great time.
She did the zip line three times.. it was crazy... but really fun...

I got home and hit my Spark People.
"Quoted from Spark people"
Here is a part of an article about weight loss I read this morning I want to share.
Burning more calories than you're putting in your body every day is one way to lose weight. However, only focusing on calories misses the larger and more important picture.
Eating 1,500 calories worth of cotton candy will surely give you different results than eating 1,500 calories of green leafy vegetables. Not to mention that it's easy to burn calories when you're having fun rather than pounding away on a treadmill if you hate running.

So while it can be beneficial to monitor your calories eaten and calories burned, also make sure that the food you're eating is nutritious and that you're enjoying the exercise you're doing so you'll stick with it for good."

I skipped the cinnabon at the fair yesterday so all the walking and exertion made me feel good about myself instead of angry that I passed up a chance to loose.

I love this part "So while it can be beneficial to monitor your calories eaten and calories burned, also make sure that the food you're eating is nutritious and that you're enjoying the exercise you're doing so you'll stick with it for good."
I went to The CA state fair on Thursday, when it wasn't 100 degrees. Good for you for having only one corn dog. There was so many fried food choices. emoticon

wish I knew how to put pictures on here from my phone.

Having fun and enjoyed going to Six Flags in Vallajo.
The staff was really attentive to helping people find their way around.
My granddaughter loved the animals and rides.
But the food was not on my food plan.
I finally fount a taco salad that would do without the sour cream.
But most of it was like state fair food. Fried and Ice cream.
I could not even find a place to get a hot drink! It was freezing and a hot tea would have been great! There are so many fires everything is overcast. It is only going to be in the eighty's today.
Nice day to go to the State Fair. ( California)

Does your phone have the capability to send pictures to other phones? I know on most of my phones I could input my email address right into the place where you would normally put in the phone number in a text. I just counts as a picture message!

Edit** then just get into your email and save the pic onto your computer and upload it onto your sparkpage/blog.

I try to download from my phone every now and then only to be reminded by my efforts that it apparently can't be done that way. If I'm wrong I'd love to be corrected. (oh that sounded a little kinky! emoticon)
I just have to wait until next time I sync with my computer and download from there.
Sounds like you had a fun day!

sorry I can't help you with posting pictures from a phone. I am thinking that there is someone out there - - that is smarter than a 5th grader. (lol)... that will step up and offer you some assistance. Or, when all else fails, maybe reading the directions would help?

Hugs my friend..

So today is Monday

Monday, July 16, 2012

Went to church yesterday then went down town to pick up my granddaughter from her uncle and aunt's house. We shared a nice brunch. then GD and I walked to the Old Sacramento area and started searching for nick Knacks she couldn't live without.
We needed a fan but I think I have some at home so I talked her into waiting.
We walked from the free on Sunday parking past the Crocker Art gallery to Old Sacramento area. We did not stop until we had walked 1.5 miles and then started thinking about snacks and brick-a-brack. When we were done we walked back to the Car and had a great 3 mile hike. I know we walked about 500 more steps but I only count the actual walking. Taking the train ride was also fun. I only wish we could have gotten off it would have saved the 1.5 mile walk back to the car. Then of course we came home and she got on the computer for 5 hours.
I went to bed.. I was pooped.

Old Sac is a fun place to spend some together time. And shop for knicknaks and snacks.
Good that you got all that walking in and that there was still time for chitchat.

congratulations on a super Sunday. emoticon
