day 5

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

So today we did nothing but I played on the computer and made him breakfast and lunch.
I feel strongly that i should not drive him to work but i am also afraid he might decide to just drive anyway.
He can't stand the light and needs to keep his chin to his chest all the time and sleep on his stomach face down.

I agree no driving. Remind your husband that you only get one chance to heal. If you mess it up you will pay for it the rest of your life!

Hubby wants breakfast

Monday, June 27, 2011

Hubby just said," If you feel like it, and if it won't irritate you, could you make me a scrambled egg with cream cheese? And maybe an English muffin? Something soft and acceptable to his stomach. The medication he is on gives him a irritable stomach.
This is day number four after the operation to remove the cataract and lens that dropped into his eye when they were removing the cataract. He must sleep on his stomach with his head down. He must keep his chin to his chest all the time. Not an easy position to hold.
But it places the eye in the proper position for maximum healing.
He is continuing to work. in spite of the doctor's not recommending it ...

I am the chauffeur. I could not transport him. But I am not willing to take that much control.
He is in charge of his own life and recovery.

And yes I made him an cream cheese Omelet with an english muffin with raspberry jam.
I also poured him a V8. He is chin to chest in the front room reading a book.

They did it

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

He had the procedure and the pressure in his eye is acceptable for the surgery tomorrow.
It is so hot outside, I put a car cover on the car so it would not be 120 degrees when we get into it. If I can I do not want to go out again today. Took hubby out for lunch, he won't be able to eat or drink anything after midnight.

So many people are sick on my block. Two ambulances across the street one taking someone away, ;and one bringing our friend home but I do not know the prognosis for his cancer.
My friend directly across the street has asthma.

I have been sick with a sore throat and cold like symptoms for a couple of days and now my son and his girlfriend have the same symptoms, and two of my nephews. So it is something going around that's for sure and this heat doesn't help any!

Good Luck tomorrow! The air quality has been lousy, but isn't it suppose to start cooling tomorrow? It feels a little less hot this evening. Let us know how it goes!

\The Air Quality is NOT ACCEPTABLE for person's with respiratory conditions. Asthma, allergies, emphasema, COPD.. etc and older persons who may not realize they have breathing problems...............

Best thing to do is to stay inside and not go out unless you really have to. I am sorry your neighbors are having problems. I hope you can remind them to lay low until things get a little better, and we get some 'sea breeze' in here TONIGHT....

Ok or not

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

So hubby is having to have the piece of lens pulled out of his eye.
They will insert two needles one pushes and one sucks.
The eye pressure is going up again and he will most likely have another procedure where they insert a syringe and pull out the fluid.

So I really am needing to go for a walk and do some heavy duty praying.
I am not hte one sick but... I feel sick.
I feel hurt. But I am trusting in God.
May His will be done.
Love
Maria

good news and bad

Thursday, June 16, 2011

We have a brilliant young man . Of whom I am proud.

Hubby's cataract surgery did not go as well as planned.
He needs to see an ocular surgeon for another surgery on the same eye to remove a floater.
So please pray for God's guidance and healing.
